A a2a visa change is the fastest lawful way for Georgia passport holders to receive a new 60 day UAE tourist visa when the visa they currently hold can no longer be extended. At White Sky Travel we book the return flight, file the new visa as soon as your exit stamp is recorded, and keep in touch on WhatsApp from check in to arrival.
The essentials for Georgia passport holders: AED 1,550 all in, a same day flydubai rotation from Dubai Terminal 2, and a 60 day single entry visa issued while you wait at the transit airport.
Looking to extend your stay in the UAE?
Let White Sky Travel help you process an airport visa change from a tourist visa, cancelled residence visa, or current visa on-arrival.
What is a a2a visa change?
A a2a visa change is an exit and re entry. Immigration only links a new visa to a Georgia passport once the holder has left the UAE, which is why the flight is essential. Flying is the fastest way to satisfy that rule. The usual routing from Dubai is to Muscat, Kuwait City or Doha, and most travellers are back in the arrivals hall at Terminal 2 within six to twelve hours of departure.
The land alternative is the visa change by bus to Oman, which takes longer and involves a night near the border. A a2a visa change costs more than the bus, yet it saves a day and suits families, older travellers and anyone with work or school commitments in Dubai.
Who from Georgia needs a a2a visa change?
Many UAE visit visas can be extended without leaving, which means a a2a visa change is only needed in specific cases. You will need a a2a visa change on a Georgia passport if any of the following applies:
- You have used every in country extension available. A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, each by 30 days, up to a total stay of 120 days.
- You are on a cancelled residence visa and want to stay on as a visitor while you find a new job. A a2a visa change gives you a 60 day tourist visa.
- The expiry date has passed. Extension is no longer possible, so a a2a visa change after paying any fine is the way forward.
- You hold a permit that is not extendable from inside the UAE. Send us a photo of your visa on WhatsApp and we will advise the correct route for a Georgia passport.
Overstay fines and why you should book early
UAE authorities charge AED 50 for every day a visit visa remains expired, and the same flat rate applies across all visa types and emirates. There is no grace period on tourist and visit visas, so the fine starts the day after expiry. Overstays beyond 30 days also require an exit permit, usually AED 250 to 300, on top of the daily fine. The price does not change with urgency, which is why we suggest starting the process with at least 10 to 15 days remaining.

Price of a a2a visa change on a Georgia passport
Our a2a visa change package is a 60 day single entry UAE tourist visa plus a flydubai return flight, priced at AED 1,550. You pay the same figure for a tourist to tourist change and for a residence cancellation conversion. The amount includes the flight, the government visa fee and our support throughout the day.
- Visa issued: 60 day single entry UAE tourist visa
- Ticket: flydubai return from Dubai International Terminal 2 to a nearby GCC airport
- Delivery: approved visa PDF on WhatsApp, usually before your return flight
- Support: live WhatsApp contact from document check to arrival in Dubai
- Cost: AED 1,550 for each adult passenger
There is no 30 day version of our a2a visa change. The 30 day visa costs almost as much and delivers half the stay, so the 60 day package is the sensible option. Some nationalities carry an AED 100 surcharge for extended processing; we confirm on WhatsApp whether this applies to Georgia citizens. Any overstay fine is settled by you at immigration before you fly and is separate from our fee.
Some Georgia applicants may need to place a refundable security deposit. It is independent of the visa price, is returned after you exit the country, and we state the amount clearly on WhatsApp first.
Pay in instalments
For UAE residents sponsoring a Georgia family member or friend, the AED 1,550 can be split with Tabby up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card over 3, 6, 9 or 12 months according to the bank. Other travellers pay by a secure online payment link that we send on WhatsApp.
Paperwork for a a2a visa change
Share these four items on WhatsApp and we will confirm whether we can proceed, typically within the hour:
- A clear scan of your Georgia passport, both the data page and the back cover. Missing back covers cause most resubmissions.
- Passport validity of at least six months from the planned travel date, with at least two blank pages and no damage.
- A colour passport size photo on a white background, taken within the last six months, without glasses.
- Whatever permit you currently hold: the tourist visa copy or the residence cancellation paper.
Bank statement requirements depend on nationality. Should Georgia be one of the passports that needs one, a relative in the UAE can submit their own statement for you. Bear in mind that immigration officers sometimes ask arriving passengers to show they can fund their stay, so keep a card or cash accessible. Before the flight we will send you a link to the guarantee form at applyvisa.app, which takes a few minutes to complete.
The a2a visa change process from start to finish
Three to five days ahead
We confirm your flydubai flight, share the ticket and remind you to settle any overstay fine through the GDRFA or ICP app. With a valid visa, no payment is due at the airport. Book for Monday to Thursday if you can, as a Friday delay can stretch over the weekend.
Check in and exit at Dubai Terminal 2
Arrive at Dubai International Terminal 2 around five hours before departure, check in at the flydubai counter and collect both boarding passes. Take clear photos of the two passes and send them to your consultant on WhatsApp. Once immigration records your exit, your old visa closes and we file the new application immediately.
In Muscat, Kuwait or Doha
Flight time is roughly an hour. You remain in the transit area and do not need to clear immigration in Oman, Kuwait or Qatar for a same day return. Most applications clear within a few hours, and the approved visa reaches your WhatsApp as a PDF. A small number of applications go to security check, which can add 24 to 48 hours. Airlines permit you to wait at the airport, and we keep you updated until it clears.
Re entry
Once you have the PDF from us, you can use the eGate at Terminal 2 for a quick entry. Should the visa still be pending on landing, avoid the eGate, use the manual counters and wait in the Terminal 2 holding area until we confirm. The new 60 day visa starts counting from the day you re enter.
Choosing between a a2a visa change, extension and the Oman bus
Where an extension is still possible, take it: the in country option costs AED 1,200 for 30 days and requires no flight. A a2a visa change steps in when extension ends, and it gives 60 days instead of 30. The bus to Oman costs less, from AED 1,000 for residence cancellation and AED 1,400 to 1,500 for visit visa holders, but it takes a day or two and includes a night away. Most Georgia passport holders find the flight worth the difference for the time it saves.

Mistakes to avoid
- Leaving it to the last minute. Seats disappear around Eid, December and January, so contact us a week or more in advance.
- Less than six months on the passport. Immigration will not approve a visa in that case, so renew first.
- Spelling differences. Ticket and passport names must be identical, middle names included.
- Overstay fines still due. Pay them in advance through the GDRFA or ICP app.
- Believing there is a buffer. There is not, and fines start the day after expiry.
- Hidden immigration records. Let us know about earlier problems so we can assess the risk honestly before booking.
Questions Georgia travellers ask us
How long does a a2a visa change take for a Georgia passport?
Six to twelve hours is normal. Security checks occasionally push it to 24 to 48 hours, and you can wait at the airport throughout.
Is there a limit on repeat visa changes?
The rules set no maximum, but each new visa is a fresh decision by immigration, and consecutive changes are looked at more carefully.
Does this work after residency cancellation?
Yes. This is the most common case we handle. Your employer cancels the residency, you receive the cancellation paper, and we convert you to a 60 day tourist visa at the same AED 1,550 rate.
Which country will I transit through?
We book flydubai to Muscat, Kuwait or Doha based on seat availability. Each is a short flight with a same day return.
Do Georgia passport holders need an Oman visa for this?
No. You remain airside at the transit airport, so no visa for that country is needed.
Can my children travel on the same package?
Certainly. Every family member, including children, needs a ticket and visa, and we arrange all of them together.
Is a refund possible if immigration refuses?
Very few applications are refused. If yours is, the return to Dubai is not possible and onward travel is required. Government visa fees cannot be refunded, so we review your history carefully first.
Are visa changes by air allowed?
Yes, completely. It follows standard immigration procedure, and a licensed agency such as ours submits the application through the proper system.
