For travellers from Lebanon, a a2a visa change means leaving the UAE on a short flight and coming back the same day with a brand new 60 day tourist visa. Our team books the flight, lodges the visa application at the right moment and guides you on WhatsApp through every stage of the day.
Quick answer: a a2a visa change for a Lebanon passport costs AED 1,550 flat, includes a flydubai return ticket and a 60 day single entry UAE tourist visa, and normally takes six to twelve hours from departure to re entry.
Looking to extend your stay in the UAE?
Let White Sky Travel help you process an airport visa change from a tourist visa, cancelled residence visa, or current visa on-arrival.
a2a visa change explained for Lebanon travellers
A a2a visa change is an exit and re entry. Immigration only links a new visa to a Lebanon passport once the holder has left the UAE, which is why the flight is essential. Air travel is the most efficient way to complete the exit. The usual routing from Dubai is to Muscat, Kuwait City or Doha, and most travellers are back in the arrivals hall at Terminal 2 within six to twelve hours of departure.
The land alternative is the visa change by bus to Oman, which takes longer and involves a night near the border. Although a a2a visa change is dearer than the bus option, the time saved makes it the sensible choice for most Lebanon visitors.
Is a a2a visa change the right option for you?
Many UAE visit visas can be extended without leaving, which means a a2a visa change is only needed in specific cases. These are the situations where Lebanon travellers should book one:
- All your extensions are used up. The UAE allows a 30 day visa to be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, and total stay cannot go beyond 120 days.
- Your employer has cancelled your residence visa. Cancellation papers cannot be extended, so a a2a visa change converts you to a 60 day tourist visa.
- Your visa expired before you applied for an extension. In that case you pay the overstay fine and exit on a a2a visa change.
- You entered on a visa type that cannot be extended in country, such as certain on arrival stamps or multiple entry permits. Message us on WhatsApp and we will confirm which category your Lebanon passport falls under.
Do not wait until the last day
The overstay fine in the UAE is AED 50 per day, applied uniformly to tourist, visit and residence visas in every emirate. There is no grace period on tourist and visit visas, so the fine starts the day after expiry. After 30 days of overstay, an exit permit of roughly AED 250 to 300 becomes necessary as well. Because the fee is the same whenever you book, the smart move is to reach out while 10 to 15 days remain on your visa.

a2a visa change price for Lebanon passport holders
The package for Lebanon passport holders is straightforward: AED 1,550 for a 60 day single entry visa and the return flight on flydubai. The price is the same whether you are changing from a tourist visa or converting a cancelled residence visa. It covers the airline ticket, the visa fee and our coordination before, during and after the flight.
- Visa type: 60 days, single entry
- Airline: flydubai, departing and returning at Dubai Terminal 2
- How you get it: a PDF copy on WhatsApp while you wait at the transit airport
- Help: a dedicated consultant on WhatsApp for the whole process
- Price: AED 1,550 per adult
A 30 day a2a visa change is not available through us because the processing cost is similar and the value is poorer than the 60 day visa. A few nationalities pay an additional AED 100 for longer processing. We check the position for Lebanon passports and tell you upfront. Overstay fines, if any, are paid by the traveller at the immigration desk before departure and are not part of the package.
Certain passports may be asked for a refundable security deposit. This is not part of the visa fee, it is refunded once you leave the UAE, and we will tell Lebanon travellers the exact figure on WhatsApp in advance.
Spread the cost
UAE residents booking a a2a visa change for a family member or friend from Lebanon can spread the AED 1,550 using Tabby with up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable terms, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month plans depending on the issuing bank. Applicants who are not UAE residents pay through a secure online link.
What Lebanon citizens need to send us
Share these four items on WhatsApp and we will confirm whether we can proceed, typically within the hour:
- Front page and back cover of the passport. Applications are most frequently sent back because the back cover was left out.
- Six months minimum validity from your flight date, two blank pages, and a passport in clean condition.
- A recent colour photograph, white background, passport dimensions, no glasses.
- Your current visa copy, either the tourist visa you hold or the residence cancellation paper.
A bank statement covering six months is required for certain passports. Where Lebanon citizens are affected, the statement of a family member living in the UAE is accepted. On arrival, immigration may request evidence of funds, so have a bank card or cash to hand. Please complete the guarantee form at applyvisa.app once we confirm your booking.
What happens on the day
Three to five days ahead
We lock in the flight, forward the ticket on WhatsApp and check that any outstanding fines have been paid online. Travellers whose visa is still valid pay nothing at immigration. We always advise Lebanon travellers to fly Monday to Thursday, because a Friday departure that hits a delay can mean waiting through the Saturday and Sunday weekend.
Check in and exit at Dubai Terminal 2
Arrive at Dubai International Terminal 2 around five hours before departure, check in at the flydubai counter and collect both boarding passes. Send us a picture of each boarding pass on WhatsApp straight away. Immigration then stamps you out, which formally ends your current visa, and the moment your exit registers we submit your new visa application.
In Muscat, Kuwait or Doha
You will be in the air for about an hour. You stay in the international transit zone, so no visa for Oman, Kuwait or Qatar is required. In standard cases the new visa is approved within a few hours and we send the PDF to your WhatsApp before your return flight. A small number of applications go to security check, which can add 24 to 48 hours. Airlines permit you to wait at the airport, and we keep you updated until it clears.
Back in the UAE
Once you have the PDF from us, you can use the eGate at Terminal 2 for a quick entry. If approval has not come through yet, skip the eGate, approach a manual counter and stay in the waiting area until we send the PDF. The new 60 day visa starts counting from the day you re enter.
a2a visa change compared with other options
An in country extension at AED 1,200 for 30 days is the simplest route if you are still eligible. A a2a visa change becomes the right choice the moment extension is no longer possible, and it delivers 60 days rather than 30 for AED 1,550. The bus visa change is cheaper, beginning at AED 1,000 for cancelled residents and AED 1,400 to 1,500 for tourist visa holders, but it needs one to two days and an overnight stop. For most Lebanon visitors the flight is the better balance of time, comfort and certainty.

What can go wrong and how to avoid it
- Late bookings. Demand spikes at Eid, in December and in January, so start early.
- Short passport validity. Applications on passports with under six months remaining are refused.
- Name mismatch. The name on the ticket must match the Lebanon passport exactly, including middle names.
- Outstanding fines. Clear them in the GDRFA or ICP app before travel, or you will be stopped at immigration.
- Believing there is a buffer. There is not, and fines start the day after expiry.
- Undisclosed history. Prior overstays, bans or uncancelled visas can lead to refusal, so share them with us upfront.
Answers for Lebanon citizens
How long will I be away from Dubai?
Six to twelve hours is normal. Security checks occasionally push it to 24 to 48 hours, and you can wait at the airport throughout.
Is there a limit on repeat visa changes?
You may repeat it, but approval is never automatic and repeated changes are scrutinised. One or two is typical.
Does this work after residency cancellation?
Yes, and it is the situation we see most often. Once you have the cancellation paper, we process a 60 day tourist visa for AED 1,550.
Which airport do I fly to?
Muscat, Kuwait City or Doha, depending on flydubai availability on your chosen date. All are under two hours from Dubai and support a same day return.
Will I need a visa for the other country?
No visa is required because you never clear immigration in the transit country.
Can I bring my family?
Yes. WhatsApp us all the passports and we will send one price for the family.
Is a refund possible if immigration refuses?
Rejection is uncommon. Should it happen, you would need to fly on to your home country or another destination, and the visa fee is not refundable as it is a government charge. We flag risks before booking so that this does not come as a surprise.
Is a a2a visa change legal?
Yes. You leave on the current visa and return on a new one granted by UAE immigration. Using a licensed agency keeps the application within official channels.
