A Bus visa change is an exit and re entry by road. UAE immigration issues the new tourist visa against your Cambodia passport while you are physically outside the country, so leaving is not optional. The journey runs Dubai to the Oman border by coach, into Oman, then back into the UAE once immigration has approved the new tourist visa. Who from Cambodia can use the Bus visa change?

Before travel

Leaving the UAE

On the Omani side

The return leg

Why bus visa changes get delayed
- Leaving it to the last minute. With midweek departures only and peak demand at Eid, December and January, book 7 to 10 days in advance.
- Short passport validity, which is rejected at both the Omani and UAE counters.
- Unpaid overstay fines. Immigration will not let you exit with fines outstanding, so check and pay through the GDRFA or ICP app before travel day.
