When a Myanmar citizen can no longer extend a UAE visit visa, a Bus visa change to Oman offers the cheapest legal exit and re entry. White Sky Travel bundles the coach both ways, the Oman visa, the UAE visa application and the border fees into a single price from AED 1,000. This page explains who qualifies, what a Myanmar passport holder pays, which days the service runs, what to bring, and how the day unfolds at the border.
Short version: from AED 1,000 all in for a Myanmar passport, Sunday to Wednesday departures, one day round trip to the Oman border, new 60 day UAE tourist visa issued before you return.
Planning to extend your stay in the UAE?
Check our visa renewal by bus service, including the UAE visa, border fees, Oman visa, two way bus fare, and accommodation until your visa is approved. Monthly payment is available with Tabby, Tamara, and UAE credit cards up to 12 months.
Bus visa change explained for Myanmar travellers
At its core, a Bus visa change is a controlled exit from the UAE by land followed by a fresh entry. UAE immigration issues the new tourist visa against your Myanmar passport while you are physically outside the country, so leaving is not optional. You board a coach in Dubai, cross into Oman, wait while the new UAE visa is approved, and return through the same border with the new visa on your passport. Expect roughly one day door to door, plus an optional night in Oman if the visa is not ready before the last coach.
The air option, a flydubai rotation to a nearby GCC airport, is quicker at six to twelve hours but costs AED 1,550. The Bus visa change costs less and suits Myanmar visitors who can spare a day and want the cheapest package.
Is a Bus visa change available for Myanmar citizens?
Availability of the Bus visa change depends on the nationality of the passport and the type of visa currently held. Send us a photo of your Myanmar passport and current visa on WhatsApp and we will confirm within the hour whether the bus route is open to you, or whether the airport route or an in country extension is the better option. It is most commonly used by:
- Tourist visa holders whose extensions are exhausted, three for a 30 day visa and two for a 60 day visa, with 120 days as the overall limit.
- Anyone holding a residence cancellation paper who needs more time in the UAE.
- Travellers who entered on a visa on arrival and want a new tourist visa without flying home.
Overstay fines and why you should book early
Every day past expiry costs AED 50 in fines, whichever emirate issued the visa and whichever visa type you hold. There is no grace period on tourist and visit visas, so the fine starts the day after expiry. If you have overstayed, the fine must be paid before you depart; the coach cannot take you across the border with unpaid fines on your record. Because the service runs Sunday to Wednesday only and seats are limited, we ask Myanmar travellers to book 7 to 10 days before the visa expires.

What the Bus visa change package costs
The price depends on your current visa status rather than your nationality, though certain passports carry a refundable deposit or surcharge.
- Cancelled residence visa or visa on arrival holders: AED 1,000
- Tourist visa holders: AED 1,300
Included in both: return coach, Oman visa, UAE visa processing and border fees. The standard product is a 60 day single entry UAE tourist visa; ask us on WhatsApp if a 30 day option is available on your travel date. An optional one day stay in Oman can be added for travellers who prefer a night across the border or whose approval runs into the evening. Overstay fines, if any, are paid by the traveller to immigration before departure and are not part of the package.
Certain passports may be asked for a refundable security deposit. This is not part of the package fee, it is returned once you leave the UAE, and we tell Myanmar travellers the exact figure on WhatsApp in advance.
Pay in instalments
For UAE residents sponsoring a Myanmar family member or friend, the package can be split with Tabby up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card over 3, 6, 9 or 12 months according to the bank. All other applicants receive a secure online payment link.
Documents required for a Myanmar passport
Message us these items on WhatsApp and we will normally confirm your eligibility within an hour:
- Front page and back cover of the passport, six months validity minimum. Applications are most frequently sent back because the back cover was left out.
- A white background colour photo in passport format, without eyewear.
- A copy of the visa you are on now: tourist visa, arrival stamp, or the official cancellation paper if your residency was cancelled.
- Your UAE contact number and the address where you are staying, so we can confirm the pick up point and time.
A bank statement covering six months is required for certain passports. Where Myanmar citizens are affected, the statement of a family member living in the UAE is accepted. Your Oman entry visa is applied for by us through the official eVisa portal before travel day. Bring your original passport and a bank card or cash, as immigration can request proof of funds when you re enter.

How the trip unfolds for a Myanmar passport holder
Before travel
Once your documents are verified and payment is received, we apply for your Oman eVisa, reserve your seat on the coach and confirm the pick up point and departure time on WhatsApp. If you have overstayed, settle the fine through the GDRFA or ICP app before travel day.
Departure from Dubai
You board the coach in Dubai in the morning for the drive to the Oman crossing. At the UAE exit counter, immigration stamps you out, which formally ends your current visa, and we submit the new UAE visa application the moment your exit registers in the system. With the exit complete, you enter Oman on the visa we prepared.
On the Omani side
The new UAE visa is normally approved within a few hours, and we send the PDF to your WhatsApp as soon as it arrives. If your application is referred for a security check, approval can take 24 to 48 hours; this is where the optional one day stay in Oman comes in, and we stay in contact until the visa clears. Approval is always at the discretion of UAE immigration.
Returning to Dubai
You return through the same border, presenting the visa PDF and your Myanmar passport. The new 60 day visa is activated at entry and starts counting from that day. The trip ends in Dubai the same evening unless you added the overnight stay.
Should Myanmar travellers take the bus, fly or extend?
Where an extension is still possible, take it: the in country option costs AED 1,200 for 30 days and requires no trip. With no extension left, the Bus visa change offers the lowest price for a new 60 day visa, if a day on the road and midweek travel suit you. For speed, the airport to airport change at AED 1,550 wins: daily flights and a same day return within six to twelve hours.
Why bus visa changes get delayed
- Booking too late. The coach runs Sunday to Wednesday only and seats fill quickly around Eid, December and January, so message us 7 to 10 days ahead.
- Passport validity under six months. Renew before you travel, as neither Oman nor UAE immigration will accept a short validity passport.
- Overstay fines still due. Pay them in advance through the GDRFA or ICP app.
- Assuming a grace period. There is none, so a visa expiring on the 10th must be extended or exited by the 10th.
- Undisclosed history. Prior overstays, bans or uncancelled visas can lead to refusal, so share them with us upfront.
- Leaving the passport behind. It must be with you on the coach.
Myanmar passport Bus visa change FAQ
How long will I be away from Dubai?
Plan for a full day. Most Myanmar travellers return the same evening; a security review can add 24 to 48 hours and an overnight stay.
Bus visa change price for a Myanmar passport?
From AED 1,000 for cancelled residents and on arrival holders, AED 1,300 for tourist visa holders, with everything included. Deposits, where applicable, are confirmed in advance.
Which days does the Bus visa change run?
The service runs Sunday to Wednesday only. There are no Thursday, Friday or Saturday departures, which is why we ask Myanmar travellers to book 7 to 10 days before the visa expires.
Is an Oman visa required?
Yes. The Oman eVisa is arranged by us ahead of time and its cost is already in the AED 1,000 or AED 1,300.
My residency was cancelled. Can I take the bus?
Yes, and it is the situation we see most often. Cancelled residents pay AED 1,000 and receive a 60 day tourist visa.
How often can I repeat the bus trip?
You may repeat it, but approval is never automatic and repeated changes are scrutinised. One or two is typical.
What if my visa is not approved while I am in Oman?
Refusals are rare. If immigration declines, you cannot re enter the UAE on the return coach and would need to travel onward from Oman. Visa processing fees are not refundable because they cover government costs, which is why we assess risk factors such as previous overstays or bans before you pay.
Is it lawful to do this?
Yes. It is a standard immigration process: you exit on your old visa and enter on a new one issued by UAE authorities. Always use a licensed agency so the visa is applied through official channels.
