Bus visa change for Serbia passport

When a Serbia citizen can no longer extend a UAE visit visa, a Bus visa change to Oman offers the cheapest legal exit and re entry. Everything is included in one package from AED 1,000: transport there and back, Oman visa, new UAE visa and the fees at the border. Here is everything a Serbia passport holder needs to know before booking: price, schedule, documents and the border procedure.

In short: Serbia passport holders pay AED 1,000 (cancelled residence or on arrival visa) or AED 1,300 (tourist visa) for a Bus visa change to Oman. The price covers the coach both ways, the Oman visa, the new UAE visa and border fees. Departures run Sunday to Wednesday and the trip takes roughly a day.

Planning to extend your stay in the UAE?

What is a Bus visa change to Oman?

A Bus visa change is an exit and re entry by road. UAE immigration issues the new tourist visa against your Serbia passport while you are physically outside the country, so leaving is not optional. You travel by road to Oman, stay on the Omani side while the application is processed, and re enter the UAE with the new 60 day visa. Most travellers complete the round trip within a day, with an optional one day stay in Oman for those who prefer it or whose approval takes longer.

The faster alternative is the airport to airport visa change, which flies you to Muscat, Kuwait or Doha and back within hours for AED 1,550. For Serbia citizens who value price over speed, the Bus visa change is the better fit.

Eligibility for Serbia passport holders

The Bus visa change to Oman is available for selected nationalities, and eligibility depends on both your passport and the visa you currently hold. Message a scan of your Serbia passport and existing visa to our WhatsApp and we confirm eligibility for the bus, the flight, or an extension without exit. Typical Serbia applicants are:

  • People on a visit visa who have no extension left and must exit to receive a new visa.
  • Anyone holding a residence cancellation paper who needs more time in the UAE.
  • Visa on arrival holders whose stamp cannot be extended in country and who need a fresh visa to stay longer.

Do not wait until the last day

The overstay fine in the UAE is AED 50 per day, applied uniformly to tourist, visit and residence visas in every emirate. There is no grace period on tourist and visit visas, so the fine starts the day after expiry. If you have overstayed, the fine must be paid before you depart; the coach cannot take you across the border with unpaid fines on your record. Departures are Sunday to Wednesday only, which is why we recommend booking 7 to 10 days in advance.

What the Bus visa change package costs

Our Bus visa change package is priced by the visa you currently hold, not by nationality, although a refundable deposit or surcharge may apply for some passports.

  • AED 1,000 for cancelled residents and on arrival visa holders
  • Tourist visa holders: AED 1,300

Each price covers the coach both ways, the Oman visa, the new UAE visa application and every charge at the border. The new visa is normally 60 days single entry. Message us to check whether a 30 day visa can be arranged for your date. An optional one day stay in Oman can be added for travellers who prefer a night across the border or whose approval runs into the evening. Fines for overstaying are cleared directly with immigration and sit outside the package price.

Some Serbia applicants may need to place a refundable security deposit. It is independent of the package price, is returned after you exit the country, and we state the amount clearly on WhatsApp first.

Payment plans for UAE residents

If you are a UAE resident arranging a Bus visa change for a relative or friend holding a Serbia passport, you can pay through Tabby over up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card in 3, 6, 9 or 12 monthly instalments subject to your bank. Applicants who are not UAE residents pay through a secure online link.

What Serbia citizens need to send us

Share these items on WhatsApp and we will confirm whether we can proceed, typically within the hour:

  1. Your passport data page plus a photo of the back cover, with six months or more validity. We ask for both because the back cover is the item most often forgotten.
  2. A white background colour photo in passport format, without eyewear.
  3. The existing tourist visa PDF, the on arrival stamp page, or for cancelled residents the cancellation document.
  4. A reachable UAE number and address so we can share pick up instructions.

Depending on nationality, a six month bank statement may be requested. If that applies to Serbia applicants, a UAE resident family member can provide theirs instead. We handle the Oman eVisa application ahead of time; nothing is needed from you at the Omani side. Keep your passport and a card or cash on hand; immigration sometimes asks re entering visitors to show they can support their stay.

How the trip unfolds for a Serbia passport holder

Preparation

With documents approved and payment cleared, the Oman visa is applied for, the seat is booked and you receive pick up instructions on WhatsApp. If you have overstayed, settle the fine through the GDRFA or ICP app before travel day.

On the coach

The coach departs Dubai in the morning and travels to the UAE Oman land border. Once the exit is registered at the UAE counter, we submit the new tourist visa application for your Serbia passport without delay. You cross into Oman using the eVisa we applied for.

While the visa is processed

Approval usually takes a few hours, after which you receive the visa PDF on WhatsApp. Should a security check be triggered, expect 24 to 48 hours. We arrange the overnight stay and monitor the status with you. Immigration makes the final call on every application.

Returning to Dubai

You return through the same border, presenting the visa PDF and your Serbia passport. Immigration links the visa to your passport and your 60 days begin on the entry date. The coach drops you back in Dubai the same evening, or the next day if you took the overnight option.

Bus versus airport versus extension

Where an extension is still possible, take it: the in country option costs AED 1,200 for 30 days and requires no trip. With no extension left, the Bus visa change offers the lowest price for a new 60 day visa, if a day on the road and midweek travel suit you. The airport to airport visa change costs AED 1,550, flies any day of the week, and returns you to Dubai within six to twelve hours; it suits families, older travellers and anyone who cannot take a full day off.

Why bus visa changes get delayed

  • Leaving it to the last minute. With midweek departures only and peak demand at Eid, December and January, book 7 to 10 days in advance.
  • Less than six months on the passport. Both borders refuse entry in that case, so renew first.
  • Outstanding fines. Clear them in the GDRFA or ICP app before the trip, or you will be stopped at the exit counter.
  • Believing there is a buffer. There is not, and fines start the day after expiry.
  • Previous immigration issues. Old bans, unresolved cases or improperly cancelled visas can affect approval, so tell us about them before you pay.
  • Leaving the passport behind. It must be with you on the coach.

Frequently asked questions about Bus visa change for Serbia passport

How many hours does the bus trip take?

Plan for a full day. Most Serbia travellers return the same evening; a security review can add 24 to 48 hours and an overnight stay.

How much is the bus package?

From AED 1,000 for cancelled residents and on arrival holders, AED 1,300 for tourist visa holders, with everything included. Deposits, where applicable, are confirmed in advance.

When does the coach depart?

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday only. Weekend travel is not available, so leave enough time before your expiry date.

Do Serbia passport holders need an Oman visa for the trip?

An Oman visa is needed and is part of the package price. Our team applies through the official eVisa portal in advance.

My residency was cancelled. Can I take the bus?

Absolutely. Cancelled residents from Serbia use the bus route at AED 1,000 and return on a 60 day tourist visa.

Is there a limit on repeat visa changes?

There is no fixed limit, but every application is assessed on its own and repeated back to back changes attract closer scrutiny. Most of our clients do one or two before moving to a residence visa or leaving the UAE.

Is a refund possible if immigration refuses?

Rejection is uncommon. Should it happen, you would need to fly on from Oman to your home country or another destination, and the visa fee is not refundable as it is a government charge. We flag risks before booking.

Are visa changes by road allowed?

It is fully legal. The visa is issued by the UAE authorities in the normal way; the only difference is that you are outside the country at the time.
