A Bus visa change to Oman is the most economical route for Spain passport holders who need to exit the UAE and come back on a new tourist visa. White Sky Travel bundles the coach both ways, the Oman visa, the UAE visa application and the border fees into a single price from AED 1,000. Here is everything a Spain passport holder needs to know before booking: price, schedule, documents and the border procedure.
Short version: from AED 1,000 all in for a Spain passport, Sunday to Wednesday departures, one day round trip to the Oman border, new 60 day UAE tourist visa issued before you return.
Planning to extend your stay in the UAE?
Check our visa renewal by bus service, including the UAE visa, border fees, Oman visa, two way bus fare, and accommodation until your visa is approved. Monthly payment is available with Tabby, Tamara, and UAE credit cards up to 12 months.
Bus visa change explained for Spain travellers
A Bus visa change works on one principle: you must be outside the UAE before a new tourist visa can be activated, and the Oman land border is the closest place to do that. Because the new permit can only be granted to someone who is outside the UAE, Spain citizens must cross the border before the visa is approved. You board a coach in Dubai, cross into Oman, wait while the new UAE visa is approved, and return through the same border with the new visa on your passport. Expect roughly one day door to door, plus an optional night in Oman if the visa is not ready before the last coach.
The faster alternative is the airport to airport visa change, which flies you to Muscat, Kuwait or Doha and back within hours for AED 1,550. The bus saves money, and for most Spain travellers on a budget that outweighs the longer day.
Eligibility for Spain passport holders
Not every passport can use the land border route; eligibility is set by nationality and by your current visa status. Message a scan of your Spain passport and existing visa to our WhatsApp and we confirm eligibility for the bus, the flight, or an extension without exit. The service is typically used by:
- Tourist visa holders whose extensions are exhausted, three for a 30 day visa and two for a 60 day visa, with 120 days as the overall limit.
- Former residents whose employment visa has been cancelled and who need a tourist visa to remain in the UAE.
- Visitors on an arrival stamp who prefer a new visa over departing the region.
Why timing matters in 2026
An expired visa attracts a fine of AED 50 per day, and that figure is the same for every visa category and every emirate. No grace period applies to visit visas, so the counter starts the very next day. Any overstay fine is settled before departure, since immigration will not clear you to exit with fines outstanding. Because the service runs Sunday to Wednesday only and seats are limited, we ask Spain travellers to book 7 to 10 days before the visa expires.

Bus visa change price for Spain passport holders
We charge according to the visa you are on today; nationality can add a refundable deposit or surcharge in a few cases.
- Residence cancellation or on arrival visa: AED 1,000
- AED 1,300 for visit and tourist visa holders
Each price covers the coach both ways, the Oman visa, the new UAE visa application and every charge at the border. We issue a 60 day single entry visa as standard. A 30 day version is sometimes available, so ask us when you book. If you want or need to stay overnight in Oman, we can add a one day stay to the package. Overstay fines, if any, are paid by the traveller to immigration before departure and are not part of the package.
A refundable security deposit may apply for some nationalities. It is separate from the package price, it is refunded after you exit the UAE at the end of your stay, and we confirm the amount for Spain passports on WhatsApp before you pay anything.
Pay in instalments
For UAE residents sponsoring a Spain family member or friend, the package can be split with Tabby up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card over 3, 6, 9 or 12 months according to the bank. Applicants who are not UAE residents pay through a secure online link.
Documents required for a Spain passport
Message us these items on WhatsApp and we will normally confirm your eligibility within an hour:
- Passport scan showing the front page and the back cover, valid for at least six months. A missing back cover is the most common reason an application is returned, so please include both.
- A colour passport size photo on a white background, without glasses.
- The existing tourist visa PDF, the on arrival stamp page, or for cancelled residents the cancellation document.
- Your local contact number and address for the pick up details.
A bank statement covering six months is required for certain passports. Where Spain citizens are affected, the statement of a family member living in the UAE is accepted. We handle the Oman eVisa application ahead of time; nothing is needed from you at the Omani side. On travel day, have the physical passport and some means of payment with you in case proof of funds is requested at the border.

The Dubai to Oman Bus visa change process
Preparation
After verification and payment we lodge the Oman eVisa, book your coach seat and send the pick up location and time on WhatsApp. Clear outstanding fines online through GDRFA or ICP ahead of the trip.
The outbound leg
The coach departs Dubai in the morning and travels to the UAE Oman land border. Immigration records your exit at the UAE side, closing the old visa, and we file the new visa application immediately after. You clear Omani immigration on the prearranged eVisa.
While the visa is processed
In standard cases the visa is granted the same day and we forward the PDF on WhatsApp. If your application is referred for a security check, approval can take 24 to 48 hours; this is where the optional one day stay in Oman comes in, and we stay in contact until the visa clears. No agency can guarantee approval; it is immigration’s decision.
Back into the UAE
With the new visa PDF on your phone, you board the return coach and present it with your Spain passport at the UAE entry counter. Validity runs for 60 days from your re entry date. Return to Dubai is the same day in most cases, or the next day for those who stayed over.
Choosing the right route for a Spain passport
Before travelling anywhere, check whether you qualify for the AED 1,200 in country extension, which adds 30 days without leaving. After extensions run out, the bus is the most affordable route to a fresh 60 day visa, with the trade off of a longer day and a limited departure schedule. The air route at AED 1,550 runs every day and takes six to twelve hours, which makes it the better choice for families, seniors and busy professionals.
What can go wrong and how to avoid it
- Leaving it to the last minute. With midweek departures only and peak demand at Eid, December and January, book 7 to 10 days in advance.
- Less than six months on the passport. Both borders refuse entry in that case, so renew first.
- Outstanding fines. Clear them in the GDRFA or ICP app before the trip, or you will be stopped at the exit counter.
- Assuming a grace period. There is none, so a visa expiring on the 10th must be extended or exited by the 10th.
- Previous immigration issues. Old bans, unresolved cases or improperly cancelled visas can affect approval, so tell us about them before you pay.
- Leaving the passport behind. It must be with you on the coach.
Answers for Spain citizens
How long will I be away from Dubai?
One day is normal. In rare cases a security check pushes approval to 24 to 48 hours, and we arrange the stay in Oman.
Bus visa change price for a Spain passport?
AED 1,000 or AED 1,300 depending on your current visa, all in. The price covers transport both ways, the Oman visa, the new UAE visa and border charges. We confirm any deposit for Spain citizens before booking.
When does the coach depart?
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday only. Weekend travel is not available, so leave enough time before your expiry date.
What about entry into Oman?
An Oman visa is required for the crossing and we handle the eVisa application for Spain passports as part of the service.
Is the bus route possible for cancelled residents?
Yes. Send the cancellation document and we process the change to a 60 day tourist visa for AED 1,000.
How often can I repeat the bus trip?
No official cap exists, though immigration reviews each case separately and frequent repeats draw more attention. Most Spain visitors do one or two before obtaining residency or departing.
What if immigration declines the application?
Very few applications are refused. If yours is, the return to the UAE is not possible and onward travel from Oman is required. Government visa fees cannot be refunded, so we review your history carefully first.
Is it lawful to do this?
Yes. It is a standard immigration process: you exit on your old visa and enter on a new one issued by UAE authorities. Always use a licensed agency so the visa is applied through official channels.
