A Bus visa change to Oman is the most economical route for Venezuela passport holders who need to exit the UAE and come back on a new tourist visa. Our package covers the return bus, the Oman entry visa, UAE visa processing and all border charges, starting at AED 1,000. Below we cover eligibility, cost, timing, paperwork and what actually happens between Dubai and the Oman border for Venezuela travellers.
Short version: from AED 1,000 all in for a Venezuela passport, Sunday to Wednesday departures, one day round trip to the Oman border, new 60 day UAE tourist visa issued before you return.
Planning to extend your stay in the UAE?
Check our visa renewal by bus service, including the UAE visa, border fees, Oman visa, two way bus fare, and accommodation until your visa is approved. Monthly payment is available with Tabby, Tamara, and UAE credit cards up to 12 months.
How a UAE Bus visa change works
At its core, a Bus visa change is a controlled exit from the UAE by land followed by a fresh entry. The rule is that the applicant, in this case a Venezuela passport holder, must be abroad when the new visa is processed. The journey runs Dubai to the Oman border by coach, into Oman, then back into the UAE once immigration has approved the new tourist visa. Expect roughly one day door to door, plus an optional night in Oman if the visa is not ready before the last coach.
The faster alternative is the airport to airport visa change, which flies you to Muscat, Kuwait or Doha and back within hours for AED 1,550. The bus saves money, and for most Venezuela travellers on a budget that outweighs the longer day.
Who qualifies
Not every passport can use the land border route; eligibility is set by nationality and by your current visa status. WhatsApp us your Venezuela passport and visa copy and we will tell you straight away if the bus is available, or whether you should use the airport to airport change or an extension instead. The route is popular with:
- Tourist visa holders who have used all their in country extensions. A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, each by 30 days, up to a total stay of 120 days; after that, an exit is required.
- Cancelled residence visa holders who want to stay on as visitors while they find a new job or wrap up their affairs.
- Travellers who entered on a visa on arrival and want a new tourist visa without flying home.
Do not wait until the last day
Every day past expiry costs AED 50 in fines, whichever emirate issued the visa and whichever visa type you hold. No grace period applies to visit visas, so the counter starts the very next day. Unpaid fines block the exit, so they must be cleared before travel day. Departures are Sunday to Wednesday only, which is why we recommend booking 7 to 10 days in advance.

How much does a Bus visa change to Oman cost?
We charge according to the visa you are on today; nationality can add a refundable deposit or surcharge in a few cases.
- Cancelled residence visa or visa on arrival holders: AED 1,000
- AED 1,300 for visit and tourist visa holders
The package price is all in: transport, Oman visa, UAE visa and border charges. The standard product is a 60 day single entry UAE tourist visa; ask us on WhatsApp if a 30 day option is available on your travel date. A one day stay in Oman is available as an add on. Fines for overstaying are cleared directly with immigration and sit outside the package price.
Certain passports may be asked for a refundable security deposit. This is not part of the package fee, it is returned once you leave the UAE, and we tell Venezuela travellers the exact figure on WhatsApp in advance.
Pay in instalments
UAE residents booking a Bus visa change for a family member or friend from Venezuela can spread the cost using Tabby with up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable terms, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month plans depending on the issuing bank. Applicants who are not UAE residents pay through a secure online link.
Documents required for a Venezuela passport
WhatsApp us the following and expect an eligibility answer within about an hour:
- Passport scan showing the front page and the back cover, valid for at least six months. A missing back cover is the most common reason an application is returned, so please include both.
- A colour passport size photo on a white background, without glasses.
- Whatever permit you currently hold: tourist visa copy, arrival stamp, or residence cancellation paper.
- A UAE phone number and your current address, used to arrange the coach pick up.
Depending on nationality, a six month bank statement may be requested. If that applies to Venezuela applicants, a UAE resident family member can provide theirs instead. We handle the Oman eVisa application ahead of time; nothing is needed from you at the Omani side. Carry the original passport on the day, plus a card or some cash, because UAE immigration may ask returning travellers to show proof of funds.

The Dubai to Oman Bus visa change process
Booking stage
Once your documents are verified and payment is received, we apply for your Oman eVisa, reserve your seat on the coach and confirm the pick up point and departure time on WhatsApp. Any overstay fine should be paid in the GDRFA or ICP app before you travel.
Leaving the UAE
The coach leaves Dubai early and heads for the Oman border. Once the exit is registered at the UAE counter, we submit the new tourist visa application for your Venezuela passport without delay. You then enter Oman on the eVisa we arranged.
Waiting in Oman
Most Venezuela applications clear within a few hours, and the approved visa reaches your phone as a PDF. If your application is referred for a security check, approval can take 24 to 48 hours; this is where the optional one day stay in Oman comes in, and we stay in contact until the visa clears. Approval is always at the discretion of UAE immigration.
The return leg
Once the PDF is in hand, you take the coach back and show the new visa alongside your Venezuela passport at UAE immigration. The new 60 day visa is activated at entry and starts counting from that day. The coach drops you back in Dubai the same evening, or the next day if you took the overnight option.
Bus visa change compared with other options
Before travelling anywhere, check whether you qualify for the AED 1,200 in country extension, which adds 30 days without leaving. Once extension is no longer possible, the Bus visa change from AED 1,000 is the cheapest way to receive a new 60 day visa, at the cost of a full day and Sunday to Wednesday departures only. The flight option costs AED 1,550, operates daily and is back in Dubai in six to twelve hours, ideal for Venezuela travellers with work or school commitments.
Common problems for Venezuela applicants and how we prevent them
- Booking too late. The coach runs Sunday to Wednesday only and seats fill quickly around Eid, December and January, so message us 7 to 10 days ahead.
- Short passport validity, which is rejected at both the Omani and UAE counters.
- Overstay fines still due. Pay them in advance through the GDRFA or ICP app.
- Counting on grace days. Visit visas have no grace period, so act before the printed expiry date.
- Hidden immigration records. Let us know about earlier problems so we can assess the risk honestly before booking.
- Forgetting the original passport. Photocopies are not accepted at either border; the physical Venezuela passport must travel with you.
Questions Venezuela travellers ask us
What is the total time from departure to return?
One day is normal. In rare cases a security check pushes approval to 24 to 48 hours, and we arrange the stay in Oman.
Bus visa change price for a Venezuela passport?
The package costs AED 1,000 if you hold a cancellation paper or arrival stamp and AED 1,300 if you are on a tourist visa. Coach, Oman visa, UAE visa and border fees are included. Some nationalities may need a refundable deposit.
Which days does the Bus visa change run?
The service runs Sunday to Wednesday only. There are no Thursday, Friday or Saturday departures, which is why we ask Venezuela travellers to book 7 to 10 days before the visa expires.
Who arranges the Oman visa?
Yes. The Oman eVisa is arranged by us ahead of time and its cost is already in the AED 1,000 or AED 1,300.
My residency was cancelled. Can I take the bus?
Yes. This is the most common case we handle and it qualifies for the AED 1,000 price. Send us the cancellation paper and we convert you to a 60 day tourist visa.
Is there a limit on repeat visa changes?
You may repeat it, but approval is never automatic and repeated changes are scrutinised. One or two is typical.
What if my visa is not approved while I am in Oman?
Rejection is uncommon. Should it happen, you would need to fly on from Oman to your home country or another destination, and the visa fee is not refundable as it is a government charge. We flag risks before booking.
Is it lawful to do this?
Yes. It is a standard immigration process: you exit on your old visa and enter on a new one issued by UAE authorities. Always use a licensed agency so the visa is applied through official channels.
