A Visa extension allows Eritrea passport holders to add 30 days to a UAE visit visa without exiting, flying anywhere or crossing a border. At White Sky Travel a 30 day extension is AED 1,200, processed in around two to three working days, with every step on WhatsApp. Here is everything a Eritrea traveller needs to know before applying: fees, limits, deadlines, paperwork and the alternatives when extension is no longer possible.
Short version: AED 1,200 per 30 days, processed in country in two to three working days for Eritrea passports, up to 120 days total. Apply a week before expiry via the agency that issued the original visa.
Planning your Dubai trip? Let White Sky handle it.
We book your attraction tickets, tours, hotels and flights — and you can pay later with Tabby, Tamara or UAE credit-card monthly instalments. Need a UAE tourist visa too? We do that in-house.
What is a Visa extension without exit?
A Visa extension without exit is an extension of your existing visit visa, not a new visa. Immigration processes the extension under the original issuer’s account and records the new expiry against your Eritrea passport. You do not leave the country at any point; the approval arrives on WhatsApp while you carry on with your stay.
This is different from an airport to airport visa change or a visa change by bus to Oman, both of which involve leaving the UAE and returning on a completely new tourist visa. For Eritrea visitors who still qualify, the extension is the cheapest and least disruptive option, and it is the one we recommend first.
Who from Eritrea can apply for a Visa extension?
Whether you qualify comes down to your current visa, your extension history and who issued the original visa. WhatsApp us your visa copy and we will tell you straight away if an extension is possible for a Eritrea passport or if you need a visa change instead.
- Visit and tourist visa holders on a 30 day or 60 day visa issued through a travel agency. A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, each by 30 days.
- Applicants whose total stay, including the new extension, will not exceed 120 days from the original entry date.
- Holders of a visa issued by us. The UAE system routes extension requests through the issuing agency, which is why the same agency rule applies.
Where another agency issued the visa, either contact them for the extension or book an exit route with us: airport to airport at AED 1,550 or the Oman bus from AED 1,000, both of which issue a new 60 day visa whatever the original source. This service does not cover visa on arrival stamps or residence permits.

How much does a Visa extension cost?
A 30 day extension is AED 1,200 for all passports, Eritrea included; there is no nationality based pricing on extensions.
- A single 30 day block: AED 1,200
- 60 day extension: AED 2,400 (two 30 day extensions back to back)
This price includes the immigration fee and our handling. On rejection the fee is retained by immigration and cannot be returned. Any overstay fine is settled separately with immigration and is not included in the AED 1,200. If you only need a month, extend; if you need two months and have run out of extensions, a new visa by air or bus is the better route for a Eritrea passport.
Payment options
If you live in the UAE and are sponsoring a relative or friend holding a Eritrea passport, the extension fee can be paid through Tabby over up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card in 3, 6, 9 or 12 monthly instalments subject to your bank. Applicants who are not UAE residents pay through a secure online link. Family extensions are handled together, and the combined total can be split the same way.
What Eritrea citizens need to send us
Because your record already exists with immigration, we only need the following on WhatsApp:
- Passport copy showing at least six months validity.
- A recent colour photograph, white background, passport dimensions, no glasses.
- Your present visa, needed to confirm eligibility and the dates.
The extension does not call for a bank statement, accommodation proof or a return ticket. Should immigration want anything more for a Eritrea passport, we will contact you on WhatsApp at once.
How Eritrea citizens apply
- Message +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 on WhatsApp five to seven days ahead of expiry with your documents. We review them and confirm eligibility within hours.
- Settle the AED 1,200 by secure link or instalments. The application goes to immigration after payment.
- We lodge the application and track it. Approval for Eritrea passports usually takes two to three working days; immigration can sometimes extend this.
- Once approved, we send the extension PDF on WhatsApp. It shows the new expiry date and should travel with your passport.
Timing your Visa extension
Applications are only accepted while the visa is still valid. Once it expires, extension is no longer possible. Because approval takes two to three working days and government offices close at weekends and on public holidays, Eritrea passport holders should message us five to seven days before expiry. When chaining extensions, start each one a few days early and count your total days from the original entry.
Why the expiry date is final
There is no grace period on a UAE visit visa. An expired visa attracts AED 50 per day in fines from day one, and the rate is the same everywhere in the UAE. Overstays beyond 30 days additionally require an exit permit of roughly AED 250 to 300. An expired visa means a visa change rather than an extension: pay the fine, then exit by air or bus with us and return on a new visa.

Reaching the 120 day limit
Once a Eritrea visitor has used every extension and reached 120 days, exit is mandatory. The choices are an airport to airport change (AED 1,550, same day, flydubai), the Oman bus route (from AED 1,000, about a day), going home and applying afresh, or moving to a residence visa where a sponsor exists. Air or bus, the result is a new 60 day visa, and we book either for Eritrea travellers on WhatsApp.
How to keep your application on track
- Applying too late. Extensions cannot be filed after expiry, so contact us five to seven days ahead.
- Not knowing who issued the visa. Ask the person who arranged it, since the extension has to go through that agency.
- Forgetting that extensions add to the original stay rather than replacing it.
- Less than six months on the passport, which blocks the extension.
- Applying with an arrival stamp or residency, which cannot be extended through an agency.
Frequently asked questions about Visa extension for Eritrea passport
Do I have to leave the UAE to extend?
You can. Eritrea passport holders on an agency issued 30 or 60 day visa extend in country as long as extensions remain, the 120 day limit is respected, and the issuing agency files the request.
What is the 1 month visa extension price in Dubai?
AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, the same for every nationality including Eritrea. A two month extension is AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions.
How long does a Visa extension take?
Usually two to three working days. Because government offices close at weekends, Eritrea travellers should allow five to seven days before the visa expires.
How many times can a Eritrea citizen extend a UAE tourist visa?
Three extensions on a 30 day visa, two on a 60 day visa, 30 days each. Total stay cannot exceed 120 days from the original entry.
Does the same agency rule apply to Eritrea passports?
Extensions go through the issuer’s account, so a visa from another agency must be extended by them. Alternatively, we arrange an airport to airport change or the Oman bus, neither of which depends on who issued the first visa.
When do fines start?
No grace days exist. Overstaying costs AED 50 per day from day one, plus an exit permit of approximately AED 250 to 300 once the overstay passes 30 days.
Can spouse and children extend at the same time?
Yes. Family extensions are handled as one application, and the total fee is eligible for instalments when a UAE resident books on the family’s behalf.
What happens if it is not approved?
Very few eligible extensions are refused. If yours is, the government fee cannot be refunded and you would exit via air or bus before the current visa runs out.
