If you hold a Guatemala passport and your UAE visit visa is running out, a Visa extension lets you stay another 30 days without leaving the country. Each 30 day extension costs AED 1,200, takes two to three working days in most cases, and is managed entirely through WhatsApp with our team. Below you will find eligibility, pricing for Guatemala citizens, the extension limits, the application deadline and your options after 120 days.
The essentials for Guatemala citizens: AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, no exit required, two to three working days processing, a 120 day ceiling on total stay, and a five to seven day lead time before expiry. Only the issuing agency can process it.
Planning your Dubai trip? Let White Sky handle it.
We book your attraction tickets, tours, hotels and flights — and you can pay later with Tabby, Tamara or UAE credit-card monthly instalments. Need a UAE tourist visa too? We do that in-house.
What is a Visa extension without exit?
A Visa extension without exit is an extension of your existing visit visa, not a new visa. Immigration processes the extension under the original issuer’s account and records the new expiry against your Guatemala passport. You do not leave the country at any point; the approval arrives on WhatsApp while you carry on with your stay.
Visa change by air or by bus means exiting and re entering on a new visa; a Visa extension avoids the exit altogether. For eligible Guatemala travellers the extension beats the exit routes on cost, effort and time away.
Who qualifies
A Visa extension is available when the visa type allows it, the extension count has not been exhausted, and the application goes through the original issuer. We check the position for Guatemala passports on WhatsApp and advise the right route: extension, airport to airport or bus.
- Anyone on a 30 day or 60 day tourist visa issued by an agency: three extensions for the 30 day visa, two for the 60 day visa, 30 days each time.
- Applicants whose total stay, including the new extension, will not exceed 120 days from the original entry date.
- Visitors whose visa we issued. Immigration processes extensions through the original issuer’s account, so another agency cannot extend a visa we did not issue, and we cannot extend a visa issued elsewhere.
Visas issued elsewhere can be extended by that agency; alternatively, we arrange an airport to airport change at AED 1,550 or a bus visa change from AED 1,000, each providing a new 60 day visa. On arrival stamps and residence visas fall outside this service.

Visa extension fees for Guatemala passport holders
A 30 day extension is AED 1,200 for all passports, Guatemala included; there is no nationality based pricing on extensions.
- 1 month extension inside the UAE: AED 1,200
- Two month visa extension: AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions
This price includes the immigration fee and our handling. On rejection the fee is retained by immigration and cannot be returned. Overstay fines, if any, are paid by the traveller to immigration and are not part of the extension fee. A Guatemala visitor needing 30 days should extend; one needing 60 days after the limit should look at the exit routes.
Spreading the cost
For UAE residents applying on behalf of Guatemala family or friends, the AED 1,200 can be spread with Tabby up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card over 3, 6, 9 or 12 months according to the bank. Applicants who are not UAE residents pay through a secure online link. When several family members extend at once, we process them together and the total can be paid on the same plan.
What Guatemala citizens need to send us
The document list for an extension is short, because immigration already holds your details from the original visa. Send these on WhatsApp:
- A scan of the passport, valid for a minimum of six months.
- A colour passport size photo on a white background, without glasses.
- Your present visa, needed to confirm eligibility and the dates.
Bank statements, hotel confirmations and return tickets are not part of the extension application. Should immigration want anything more for a Guatemala passport, we will contact you on WhatsApp at once.
The application process step by step
- Send your documents on WhatsApp to +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 at least five to seven days before your visa expires. We check the expiry date and extension count and confirm eligibility the same day.
- Make the payment through the link we send. We submit as soon as it is confirmed.
- We lodge the application and track it. Approval for Guatemala passports usually takes two to three working days; immigration can sometimes extend this.
- You receive the approved extension as a PDF on WhatsApp showing the new expiry date. Keep it with your passport for the rest of your stay.
Do not wait until the last day
The extension must be submitted before the current visa expires; an expired visa cannot be extended. Because approval takes two to three working days and government offices close at weekends and on public holidays, Guatemala passport holders should message us five to seven days before expiry. For consecutive extensions, submit each new request a few days before the previous extension expires and track your cumulative stay against the 120 day limit.
Why the expiry date is final
Visitors do not receive any grace days after the expiry date. A fine of AED 50 applies for every day of overstay, the same flat rate across all visa types and emirates, and it starts the day after expiry. Overstays beyond 30 days additionally require an exit permit of roughly AED 250 to 300. An expired visa means a visa change rather than an extension: pay the fine, then exit by air or bus with us and return on a new visa.

What to do after the maximum extensions
When the extensions are exhausted and 120 days are up, leaving the country is required. You can fly out and back the same day for AED 1,550, take the Oman bus from AED 1,000, return to Guatemala and reapply, or switch to residency if you have a sponsor. Both exit routes issue a new 60 day tourist visa regardless of which agency issued the original, and we arrange either on WhatsApp.
Common problems for Guatemala applicants and how we prevent them
- Missing the deadline. Once the visa lapses, only an exit route remains.
- Expecting a third party to extend a visa it did not issue, which the system does not allow.
- Forgetting that extensions add to the original stay rather than replacing it.
- A passport expiring soon. Renew it before applying.
- Applying with an arrival stamp or residency, which cannot be extended through an agency.
Frequently asked questions about Visa extension for Guatemala passport
Can Guatemala passport holders extend in country?
Yes. Agency issued 30 day and 60 day visit visas can be extended from inside the UAE without leaving, provided you still have extensions remaining, your total stay will not exceed 120 days, and the application goes through the agency that issued the visa.
What are the UAE visit visa extension fees?
One month costs AED 1,200 and two months cost AED 2,400, issued as two 30 day extensions. The fee does not vary by nationality, so Guatemala passports pay the standard rate.
What is the processing time?
Most extensions are approved within two to three working days. Weekends and public holidays are not counted, and immigration may occasionally take longer, so apply five to seven days before expiry.
What is the maximum stay?
A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, each by 30 days. The maximum continuous stay on any UAE tourist visa is 120 days, after which exit is mandatory.
What if my visa came from a different agency?
No. In country extensions can only be processed by the agency that issued the original visa, because immigration handles the request through the issuer’s account. If another agency issued your visa, contact them, or use an exit route with us: an airport to airport change at AED 1,550 or the bus to Oman from AED 1,000, both giving a new 60 day visa.
Can I stay a few days after expiry?
None. The AED 50 daily fine starts the day after the visa expires, with an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 added after 30 days of overstay.
Can I extend visas for my family together?
Yes. Family extensions are handled as one application, and the total fee is eligible for instalments when a UAE resident books on the family’s behalf.
Is the fee refundable on rejection?
Very few eligible extensions are refused. If yours is, the government fee cannot be refunded and you would exit via air or bus before the current visa runs out.
