When a Laos citizen wants more time in the UAE, a Visa extension adds 30 days to the current visit visa from inside the country. We process the extension for AED 1,200 per 30 day block, usually within two to three working days, and the whole application runs on WhatsApp. Below you will find eligibility, pricing for Laos citizens, the extension limits, the application deadline and your options after 120 days.
The essentials for Laos citizens: AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, no exit required, two to three working days processing, a 120 day ceiling on total stay, and a five to seven day lead time before expiry. Only the issuing agency can process it.
Planning your Dubai trip? Let White Sky handle it.
We book your attraction tickets, tours, hotels and flights — and you can pay later with Tabby, Tamara or UAE credit-card monthly instalments. Need a UAE tourist visa too? We do that in-house.
What is a Visa extension without exit?
An in country Visa extension extends the visa you already hold rather than issuing a fresh one. We file the extension through the issuing account, and immigration updates the expiry date on your Laos passport record. There is no travel involved: you stay in the UAE, keep your accommodation and wait for the approval on WhatsApp.
The exit routes, airport to airport and bus to Oman, issue a brand new visa after you leave; an extension does not require leaving at all. For Laos visitors who still qualify, the extension is the cheapest and least disruptive option, and it is the one we recommend first.
Who from Laos can apply for a Visa extension?
Eligibility for a Visa extension depends on three things: the visa you hold, how many extensions you have already used, and which agency issued the visa. We check the position for Laos passports on WhatsApp and advise the right route: extension, airport to airport or bus.
- Visitors on an agency issued 30 or 60 day visit visa who have not yet reached the extension limit.
- Anyone whose combined stay stays under 120 days once the extension is counted.
- Applicants whose original visa was issued by White Sky Travel. In country extensions can only be processed by the agency that issued the visa, because immigration handles the request through the issuer’s account.
Where another agency issued the visa, either contact them for the extension or book an exit route with us: airport to airport at AED 1,550 or the Oman bus from AED 1,000, both of which issue a new 60 day visa whatever the original source. This service does not cover visa on arrival stamps or residence permits.

Visa extension fees for Laos passport holders
Each 30 day extension costs AED 1,200, and unlike a new visa the fee does not change by nationality, so Laos passports pay the standard rate.
- 1 month extension inside the UAE: AED 1,200
- 2 month extension: AED 2,400, issued as two separate 30 day approvals
This price includes the immigration fee and our handling. On rejection the fee is retained by immigration and cannot be returned. If a fine has accrued, it is paid to immigration in addition to the extension fee. If you only need a month, extend; if you need two months and have run out of extensions, a new visa by air or bus is the better route for a Laos passport.
Spreading the cost
For UAE residents applying on behalf of Laos family or friends, the AED 1,200 can be spread with Tabby up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card over 3, 6, 9 or 12 months according to the bank. Other travellers pay by a secure online payment link that we send on WhatsApp. When several family members extend at once, we process them together and the total can be paid on the same plan.
Documents required for a Visa extension on a Laos passport
Extensions need less paperwork than a new visa. Message us these three items on WhatsApp:
- Your Laos passport data page, with six months or more validity remaining.
- A colour passport size photo on a white background, without glasses.
- The current visa copy, which we use to check the expiry date and remaining extensions.
You will not be asked for financial documents, a hotel booking or a ticket to extend. Immigration can request further documents at its discretion, and we pass any such request on to Laos travellers without delay.
How Laos citizens apply
- Message +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 on WhatsApp five to seven days ahead of expiry with your documents. We review them and confirm eligibility within hours.
- Make the payment through the link we send. We submit as soon as it is confirmed.
- We submit the extension to immigration and keep you updated. Most Laos applications are approved within two to three working days, though immigration may occasionally take longer.
- You receive the approved extension as a PDF on WhatsApp showing the new expiry date. Keep it with your passport for the rest of your stay.
The five to seven day rule for Laos visitors
Immigration will not extend a visa that has already lapsed, so the request has to be in before the expiry date. With two to three working days of processing and no weekend service, a five to seven day lead time protects Laos visitors from missing the deadline. If you plan to extend more than once, apply for the next extension a few days before the current one ends, and keep an eye on the 120 day total.
What happens if you miss the deadline
Visitors do not receive any grace days after the expiry date. The overstay fine is AED 50 per day, applied uniformly across every emirate and visa category, from the first day past expiry. If the overstay passes 30 days, an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 is required on top of the fines. After expiry the only option is an exit route; we handle the airport to airport change or the Oman bus for Laos passports.

Reaching the 120 day limit
The 120 day ceiling is absolute; after it, every Laos visitor has to exit. Four options follow: airport to airport at AED 1,550 and back the same day, the bus to Oman from AED 1,000 taking roughly a day, a return home before a new visa, or a residence visa through an employer or family member. Either exit route resets you on a new 60 day visa, and the same agency rule does not apply to them.
Mistakes to avoid
- Leaving it to the last day. An expired visa cannot be extended, so allow a week.
- Not knowing who issued the visa. Ask the person who arranged it, since the extension has to go through that agency.
- Assuming the clock resets with each extension. It does not; 120 days is the total from entry.
- A passport expiring soon. Renew it before applying.
- Trying to extend a visa on arrival or a residence visa. This service covers agency issued visit visas only; other permits need a different route.
Laos passport Visa extension FAQ
Can Laos passport holders extend in country?
Yes. Agency issued 30 day and 60 day visit visas can be extended from inside the UAE without leaving, provided you still have extensions remaining, your total stay will not exceed 120 days, and the application goes through the agency that issued the visa.
What are the UAE visit visa extension fees?
One month costs AED 1,200 and two months cost AED 2,400, issued as two 30 day extensions. The fee does not vary by nationality, so Laos passports pay the standard rate.
How long does a Visa extension take?
Usually two to three working days. Because government offices close at weekends, Laos travellers should allow five to seven days before the visa expires.
How many times can a Laos citizen extend a UAE tourist visa?
A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, each by 30 days. The maximum continuous stay on any UAE tourist visa is 120 days, after which exit is mandatory.
Does the same agency rule apply to Laos passports?
Extensions go through the issuer’s account, so a visa from another agency must be extended by them. Alternatively, we arrange an airport to airport change or the Oman bus, neither of which depends on who issued the first visa.
How many days can I stay after the visa ends?
No. UAE visit and tourist visas have no grace period. A fine of AED 50 per day applies from the day after expiry, and overstays beyond 30 days also require an exit permit of about AED 250 to 300.
What about family members on Laos passports?
Yes. Each family member pays AED 1,200 per extension, we file them together, and the total can be spread over instalments for UAE resident sponsors.
Can immigration decline an extension?
Refusals are rare when the eligibility rules are met. If immigration declines, the fee is not refundable because the government charge is paid at submission, and you would need to exit before expiry through an airport to airport change or the bus to Oman. We check eligibility carefully before you pay to keep this risk low.
