Visa extension for Uruguay citizens without leaving the UAE

If you hold a Uruguay passport and your UAE visit visa is running out, a Visa extension lets you stay another 30 days without leaving the country. At White Sky Travel a 30 day extension is AED 1,200, processed in around two to three working days, with every step on WhatsApp. This page explains who qualifies, what a Uruguay passport holder pays, how many times you can extend, the deadline to apply, and what happens once you reach the 120 day limit.

The essentials for Uruguay citizens: AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, no exit required, two to three working days processing, a 120 day ceiling on total stay, and a five to seven day lead time before expiry. Only the issuing agency can process it.

Planning your Dubai trip? Let White Sky handle it.

We book your attraction tickets, tours, hotels and flights — and you can pay later with Tabby, Tamara or UAE credit-card monthly instalments. Need a UAE tourist visa too? We do that in-house.

The meaning of Visa extension for Uruguay passport holders

A Visa extension is an extension of the current permit; the visa number stays the same and the expiry date moves forward by 30 days. The application is submitted to immigration through the same agency account that issued your original visa, and once approved the new expiry date is recorded against your Uruguay passport. You do not leave the country at any point; the approval arrives on WhatsApp while you carry on with your stay.

The exit routes, airport to airport and bus to Oman, issue a brand new visa after you leave; an extension does not require leaving at all. For Uruguay visitors who still qualify, the extension is the cheapest and least disruptive option, and it is the one we recommend first.

Who from Uruguay can apply for a Visa extension?

A Visa extension is available when the visa type allows it, the extension count has not been exhausted, and the application goes through the original issuer. We check the position for Uruguay passports on WhatsApp and advise the right route: extension, airport to airport or bus.

  • Anyone on a 30 day or 60 day tourist visa issued by an agency: three extensions for the 30 day visa, two for the 60 day visa, 30 days each time.
  • Visitors who have not reached 120 days in the UAE on the current visa.
  • Those whose visa came from White Sky Travel, since extensions run through the issuing account under immigration rules.

If we did not issue your visa, the original agency can extend it, or we can reset you on a new 60 day visa through an airport to airport change (AED 1,550) or the bus to Oman (from AED 1,000). This service does not cover visa on arrival stamps or residence permits.

Visa extension fees for Uruguay passport holders

We charge AED 1,200 for every 30 day extension regardless of nationality, so Uruguay citizens pay exactly this figure.

  • A single 30 day block: AED 1,200
  • Two month visa extension: AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions

The AED 1,200 includes the immigration fee and our service. It cannot be refunded on refusal, since the government charge is paid when the application is lodged. Overstay fines, if any, are paid by the traveller to immigration and are not part of the extension fee. A Uruguay visitor needing 30 days should extend; one needing 60 days after the limit should look at the exit routes.

Payment options

If you live in the UAE and are sponsoring a relative or friend holding a Uruguay passport, the extension fee can be paid through Tabby over up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card in 3, 6, 9 or 12 monthly instalments subject to your bank. All other applicants receive a secure online payment link. We extend spouses and children together and apply one instalment plan to the combined fee.

Paperwork for a Visa extension

The document list for an extension is short, because immigration already holds your details from the original visa. Send these on WhatsApp:

  1. Your Uruguay passport data page, with six months or more validity remaining.
  2. A white background colour photo in passport format, without eyewear.
  3. A copy of your current UAE visit visa, so we can confirm the issue date, the expiry date and how many extensions have already been used.

Bank statements, hotel confirmations and return tickets are not part of the extension application. Immigration may occasionally request an additional document on a case by case basis, and we will tell you immediately if that happens for a Uruguay passport.

How Uruguay citizens apply

  1. Send your documents on WhatsApp to +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 at least five to seven days before your visa expires. We check the expiry date and extension count and confirm eligibility the same day.
  2. Pay through the secure link or instalment plan we send. Submission to immigration starts only after payment is received.
  3. We file with immigration and follow up. Typical turnaround for Uruguay citizens is two to three working days.
  4. Once approved, we send the extension PDF on WhatsApp. It shows the new expiry date and should travel with your passport.

The five to seven day rule for Uruguay visitors

An extension is only possible on a live visa, which is why the expiry date is the hard deadline. We ask Uruguay travellers to contact us five to seven days ahead, because processing takes two to three working days and weekends and public holidays do not count. Back to back extensions should each be filed a few days before the running expiry, always within the 120 day cap.

What happens if you miss the deadline

Visitors do not receive any grace days after the expiry date. The overstay fine is AED 50 per day, applied uniformly across every emirate and visa category, from the first day past expiry. Overstays beyond 30 days additionally require an exit permit of roughly AED 250 to 300. An expired visa means a visa change rather than an extension: pay the fine, then exit by air or bus with us and return on a new visa.

When extension is no longer possible

When the extensions are exhausted and 120 days are up, leaving the country is required. The choices are an airport to airport change (AED 1,550, same day, flydubai), the Oman bus route (from AED 1,000, about a day), going home and applying afresh, or moving to a residence visa where a sponsor exists. Either exit route resets you on a new 60 day visa, and the same agency rule does not apply to them.

Common problems for Uruguay applicants and how we prevent them

  • Missing the deadline. Once the visa lapses, only an exit route remains.
  • Not knowing who issued the visa. Ask the person who arranged it, since the extension has to go through that agency.
  • Assuming the clock resets with each extension. It does not; 120 days is the total from entry.
  • Short passport validity, which leads to refusal.
  • Trying to extend a visa on arrival or a residence visa. This service covers agency issued visit visas only; other permits need a different route.

Uruguay passport Visa extension FAQ

Do I have to leave the UAE to extend?

Yes. No exit is needed for agency issued visit visas within the extension limits and the 120 day cap, when processed by the original issuer.

What is the 1 month visa extension price in Dubai?

One month costs AED 1,200 and two months cost AED 2,400, issued as two 30 day extensions. The fee does not vary by nationality, so Uruguay passports pay the standard rate.

How long does a Visa extension take?

Most extensions are approved within two to three working days. Weekends and public holidays are not counted, and immigration may occasionally take longer, so apply five to seven days before expiry.

What is the maximum stay?

A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, each by 30 days. The maximum continuous stay on any UAE tourist visa is 120 days, after which exit is mandatory.

What if my visa came from a different agency?

Extensions go through the issuer’s account, so a visa from another agency must be extended by them. Alternatively, we arrange an airport to airport change or the Oman bus, neither of which depends on who issued the first visa.

How many days can I stay after the visa ends?

No grace days exist. Overstaying costs AED 50 per day from day one, plus an exit permit of approximately AED 250 to 300 once the overstay passes 30 days.

Is there a family extension option?

Yes. We process extensions for spouses, children and other family members together, and UAE residents booking for family can split the combined total across Tabby, Tamara or a UAE credit card plan.

What happens if it is not approved?

Rejection is uncommon for eligible applications. Fees are not refunded on refusal, since immigration retains the charge, and the fallback is an exit route before the visa expires. Our pre check is designed to catch problems early.
