Visa extension without exit for Vanuatu passport holders

For travellers from Vanuatu, the Visa extension is the simplest way to stay longer: no airport, no bus, just a 30 day extension processed while you remain in the UAE. Each 30 day extension costs AED 1,200, takes two to three working days in most cases, and is managed entirely through WhatsApp with our team. Read on for the rules that apply to Vanuatu passports: cost, number of extensions, timing, documents and the exit routes once the maximum is reached.

Short version: AED 1,200 per 30 days, processed in country in two to three working days for Vanuatu passports, up to 120 days total. Apply a week before expiry via the agency that issued the original visa.

The meaning of Visa extension for Vanuatu passport holders

A Visa extension without exit is an extension of your existing visit visa, not a new visa. The request goes to immigration under the account that issued the visa, and approval extends the expiry date linked to your Vanuatu passport. You do not leave the country at any point; the approval arrives on WhatsApp while you carry on with your stay.

Visa change by air or by bus means exiting and re entering on a new visa; a Visa extension avoids the exit altogether. For Vanuatu visitors who still qualify, the extension is the cheapest and least disruptive option, and it is the one we recommend first.

Who from Vanuatu can apply for a Visa extension?

Three factors decide whether a Vanuatu passport holder can extend: the visa type, the number of extensions already taken, and the issuing agency. Send us a copy of your current visa on WhatsApp and we will confirm within the hour whether a Vanuatu passport can be extended, or whether an exit route is the better option.

  • Tourist visa holders with extensions remaining: up to three on a 30 day visa and up to two on a 60 day visa.
  • Travellers who will remain within the 120 day ceiling after the extension is added.
  • Those whose visa came from White Sky Travel, since extensions run through the issuing account under immigration rules.

If your visa was issued by a different agency, you have two choices: ask that agency to extend it, or use an exit route with us. An airport to airport visa change costs AED 1,550 and a visa change by bus to Oman starts from AED 1,000, and both give you a fresh 60 day visa regardless of who issued the first one. Visas issued on arrival and residence visas cannot be extended through this service.

UAE visit visa extension charges for Vanuatu citizens

Each 30 day extension costs AED 1,200, and unlike a new visa the fee does not change by nationality, so Vanuatu passports pay the standard rate.

  • One month visa extension: AED 1,200 for 30 days
  • Sixty days of extension: AED 2,400, applied as two 30 day steps

The AED 1,200 includes the immigration fee and our service. It cannot be refunded on refusal, since the government charge is paid when the application is lodged. Overstay fines, if any, are paid by the traveller to immigration and are not part of the extension fee. For 30 extra days the extension is cheaper and simpler than any exit route; for a full 60 days with no extensions remaining, the airport to airport change or the bus route becomes the better buy for Vanuatu travellers.

Instalment plans for UAE residents

UAE residents arranging a Visa extension for a family member or friend from Vanuatu can split the AED 1,200 using Tabby with up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable terms, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month plans depending on the issuing bank. Other travellers pay by a secure online payment link that we send on WhatsApp. Group applications for a family are processed as one, with the total eligible for instalments.

Paperwork for a Visa extension

Extensions need less paperwork than a new visa. Message us these three items on WhatsApp:

  1. A clear copy of your Vanuatu passport, valid for at least six months.
  2. One colour passport photo on a plain white background.
  3. A copy of your current UAE visit visa, so we can confirm the issue date, the expiry date and how many extensions have already been used.

You will not be asked for financial documents, a hotel booking or a ticket to extend. Immigration may occasionally request an additional document on a case by case basis, and we will tell you immediately if that happens for a Vanuatu passport.

Getting your extension in four steps

  1. WhatsApp your documents to +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 a week before expiry. We verify the dates and confirm whether a Vanuatu passport can be extended.
  2. Settle the AED 1,200 by secure link or instalments. The application goes to immigration after payment.
  3. We submit the extension to immigration and keep you updated. Most Vanuatu applications are approved within two to three working days, though immigration may occasionally take longer.
  4. You receive the approved extension as a PDF on WhatsApp showing the new expiry date. Keep it with your passport for the rest of your stay.

When to apply and why the deadline matters

An extension is only possible on a live visa, which is why the expiry date is the hard deadline. With two to three working days of processing and no weekend service, a five to seven day lead time protects Vanuatu visitors from missing the deadline. Back to back extensions should each be filed a few days before the running expiry, always within the 120 day cap.

Overstay rules in 2026

There is no grace period on a UAE visit visa. An expired visa attracts AED 50 per day in fines from day one, and the rate is the same everywhere in the UAE. Anyone who overstays by more than 30 days also needs an exit permit, typically AED 250 to 300, before leaving. If your visa has already expired, extension is off the table; the practical route is to pay the fine and exit through an airport to airport change or the bus to Oman, and we can arrange either.

What to do after the maximum extensions

The 120 day ceiling is absolute; after it, every Vanuatu visitor has to exit. From there you have four routes: an airport to airport visa change at AED 1,550 with a same day return by flydubai, a visa change by bus to Oman from AED 1,000 over about one day, returning home and applying for a fresh visa later, or converting to a residence visa if an employer or family sponsor is available. The two exit routes each provide a fresh 60 day visa whoever issued the first one, and we organise both.

Common problems for Vanuatu applicants and how we prevent them

  • Applying too late. Extensions cannot be filed after expiry, so contact us five to seven days ahead.
  • Expecting a third party to extend a visa it did not issue, which the system does not allow.
  • Miscounting the 120 days. Total stay is counted from the original entry date, not from the last extension, so keep a running tally.
  • Less than six months on the passport, which blocks the extension.
  • Confusing residency or arrival stamps with agency visit visas, which are the only ones we can extend.

Questions Vanuatu travellers ask us

Do I have to leave the UAE to extend?

Yes, without leaving the country. The conditions are an agency issued 30 or 60 day visa, extensions still available, a total stay under 120 days, and processing through the issuing agency.

How much does a Visa extension cost for Vanuatu citizens?

AED 1,200 for a 30 day extension and AED 2,400 for 60 days, with no nationality surcharge for Vanuatu citizens.

How many days until approval?

Typically two to three working days, excluding weekends and public holidays. Immigration can take longer in some cases, which is why a five to seven day lead time is recommended.

What is the maximum stay?

Three extensions on a 30 day visa, two on a 60 day visa, 30 days each. Total stay cannot exceed 120 days from the original entry.

Who can process my extension?

The same agency rule applies to every nationality, Vanuatu included. If we did not issue the visa, we cannot extend it, but we can reset you on a new 60 day visa by air (AED 1,550) or bus (from AED 1,000).

How many days can I stay after the visa ends?

None. The AED 50 daily fine starts the day after the visa expires, with an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 added after 30 days of overstay.

Can I extend visas for my family together?

Yes. Each family member pays AED 1,200 per extension, we file them together, and the total can be spread over instalments for UAE resident sponsors.

What happens if it is not approved?

Rejection is uncommon for eligible applications. Fees are not refunded on refusal, since immigration retains the charge, and the fallback is an exit route before the visa expires. Our pre check is designed to catch problems early.
