A fine of AED 50 applies for every day of overstay, the same flat rate across all visa types and emirates, and it starts the day after expiry. Staying longer than 30 or 60 days

Thirty day visas may be extended three times by 30 days, and 60 day visas twice by 30 days, all from inside the UAE. The overall ceiling is 120 days of stay. Once you reach the maximum, you must exit and re enter, either through an airport to airport visa change or by bus to Oman. Apply for the extension ahead of the expiry date, ideally a week before.
