Who needs a prearranged Dubai visa?

The majority of passports require a visa arranged in advance, which is the service described on this page. A limited number of passports receive a visa on arrival at UAE airports, and the list changes from time to time. Message us a photo of your Bhutan passport on WhatsApp and we will confirm which rule applies before any payment is taken.

Bhutan passport Dubai visa fees

Here is the September 2026 price list for Bhutan passport holders:

  • Single entry 30 day visa: AED 450
  • 60 day tourist visa, single entry: AED 650
  • 30 day tourist visa, multiple entry: AED 800
  • 60 day multiple entry: AED 1,000

Thirty days is the minimum tourist visa length, and nothing shorter exists in this category. The visa fee is paid to immigration at submission and cannot be refunded if the application is declined.

A note on deposits

A refundable security deposit may apply for some nationalities. The deposit sits apart from the visa fee, is returned after you leave the UAE, and we confirm the amount for Bhutan citizens on WhatsApp before booking.

Payment options

UAE residents applying for a family member or friend from Bhutan can split the visa fee using Tabby with up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable terms, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month plans depending on the issuing bank. All other applicants receive a secure online payment link.

Dubai visa requirements for Bhutan passport holders

Message us these items on WhatsApp and we will normally confirm your eligibility within an hour:

  1. Your passport data page plus a photo of the back cover, with six months or more validity. We ask for both because the back cover is the item most often forgotten.
  2. A colour passport size photo on a white background, without glasses.
  3. A round trip ticket, which we can also book for you if it is not yet arranged.
  4. If the applicant is a minor, a birth certificate. Certain passports additionally need a national ID card copy.

Depending on nationality, a six month bank statement may be requested. If that applies to Bhutan applicants, a UAE resident family member can provide theirs instead. On arrival, immigration may request evidence of funds, so have a bank card or cash to hand.

Guarantor documents

For sponsored applications the UAE resident supplies a passport copy and residence visa page valid for six months, both sides of their Emirates ID, and the online guarantee form at applyvisa.app. If a statement is requested, a UAE family member may supply it on the applicant’s behalf, but a friend’s statement is not accepted.

  2. Complete payment through the link or instalment option we provide. We submit the application once documents and payment are in place.
  3. We lodge the application and track it. Approval for Bhutan passports usually takes 24 to 72 hours; immigration can sometimes extend this or ask for more paperwork.
  4. We forward the visa PDF on WhatsApp. Keep it with your passport for the airline counter and arrival immigration.

How long the Dubai visa is valid

The permit is valid for entry for 60 days from issue. The stay period, 30 or 60 days, starts counting from your arrival date. Single entry means one arrival only, while multiple entry allows repeated exits and returns during the validity period, useful for side trips to Oman, Saudi Arabia or Qatar. The visa is for visiting only and does not allow you to take up work.

Overstay rules in 2026

Once a visit visa expires, no extra days are granted. The overstay fine is AED 50 per day, applied uniformly across every emirate and visa category, from the first day past expiry. Overstays beyond 30 days additionally require an exit permit of roughly AED 250 to 300. We remind Bhutan travellers on WhatsApp before the expiry date, giving you time to act.

Can Bhutan citizens extend the visa?

The 30 day visa allows three extensions of 30 days and the 60 day visa allows two, without leaving the country. The overall ceiling is 120 days of stay. At the 120 day point, a new visa requires an exit, which can be done by an airport to airport change or the bus to Oman. You must apply before the visa runs out; we recommend contacting us with at least seven days to spare.

Sharjah 60 day visa

For Bhutan travellers who prefer it, the Sharjah 60 day single entry visa costs AED 1,200 and carries no deposit. The visa allows travel throughout the UAE, not only Sharjah. Message us and we will compare both routes for your Bhutan passport.

Why applications get held up

  • Missing passport back cover. Include it with your first message to avoid resubmission.
  • Passport validity under six months. Renew before applying.
  • Low resolution photos of documents, which immigration may reject.
  • Earlier violations or uncancelled visas. Be open with us so we can check the record first.
  • A passport with a single name and no document showing a full name, which immigration cannot process.
  • Booking flights before the visa is approved without allowing enough processing time.

Answers for Bhutan citizens

How many days until approval?

Most applications are approved within 24 to 72 hours. Processing time is decided by immigration and can be longer if additional documents are requested, so apply at least three working days before travel.

Price of a 30 day single entry visa?

AED 450 single or AED 800 multiple entry. Indian and Filipino rates are AED 400 and AED 750. Deposits, where applicable, are confirmed before payment.

Price of a two month visa?

AED 650 for single entry and AED 1,000 for multiple entry. Indian and Filipino passports pay AED 600 and AED 950.

Is a bank statement required for a Bhutan passport?

Some nationalities need a six month statement, others do not. A UAE family member’s statement can be used where required. Immigration may still ask for proof of funds at the airport. Ask us on WhatsApp about Bhutan passports.

Can I extend a Dubai visa without leaving the UAE?

Yes, without exit. Three extensions on a 30 day visa, two on a 60 day visa, 30 days each, capped at 120 days total. Beyond that, an exit and re entry is required. Apply before the visa expires.

What happens if I overstay by a day?

No grace days exist. Overstaying costs AED 50 per day from day one, plus an exit permit of approximately AED 250 to 300 once the overstay passes 30 days.

Is the visa fee refundable if my application is rejected?

No refund applies on refusal, since immigration retains the processing charge. You can apply again once the problem is addressed.

Is there a visa for minors?

Yes. Each child needs their own visa and pays the same fee as an adult. Send the child’s passport, photo and birth certificate on WhatsApp along with the parents’ documents.

Can I work in the UAE on a Dubai visa?

No. The visa is for visiting only. Taking up work requires an employment visa arranged by a UAE employer.
