Is a Dubai visa required for France citizens?

Unless a passport qualifies for visa on arrival, a prearranged tourist visa is required, and that is what we provide. A limited number of passports receive a visa on arrival at UAE airports, and the list changes from time to time. To be certain about the current rule for France citizens, WhatsApp us your passport page and we will check it at no cost.

What a Dubai visa costs from Dubai

Our rate card for France passports, confirmed in September 2026, is as follows:

  • 30 day tourist visa, single entry: AED 450
  • 60 day tourist visa, single entry: AED 650
  • 30 days, multiple entry: AED 800
  • Multiple entry 60 day visa: AED 1,000

The 30 day visa is the shortest tourist option the UAE offers. All visa fees, including our service fee, are not refundable if immigration rejects the application, because the government charge is paid at submission.

Refundable security deposit for some nationalities

For a limited set of countries a refundable deposit is requested. It is not part of the prices listed, it comes back to you after your exit from the country, and we state clearly on WhatsApp whether a France passport is affected.

Spreading the cost

UAE residents applying for a family member or friend from France can split the visa fee using Tabby with up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable terms, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month plans depending on the issuing bank. Everyone else is sent a secure payment link online.

Dubai visa requirements for France passport holders

Message us these items on WhatsApp and we will normally confirm your eligibility within an hour:

  1. A clear scan of your France passport, both the data page and the back cover, with at least six months validity. Missing back covers cause most resubmissions.
  2. A white background colour photo in passport format, without eyewear.
  3. Confirmed two way flight booking. We can book the flights on your behalf if needed.
  4. If the applicant is a minor, a birth certificate. Certain passports additionally need a national ID card copy.

A bank statement covering six months is required for certain passports. Where France citizens are affected, the statement of a family member living in the UAE is accepted. On arrival, immigration may request evidence of funds, so have a bank card or cash to hand.

If a UAE resident is sponsoring you

For sponsored applications the UAE resident supplies a passport copy and residence visa page valid for six months, both sides of their Emirates ID, and the online guarantee form at applyvisa.app. If a statement is requested, a UAE family member may supply it on the applicant’s behalf, but a friend’s statement is not accepted.

The application process step by step

  1. Share your documents with us on WhatsApp at +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 and we confirm which visa fits your plans.
  2. Settle the fee by secure link or instalments. Submission to immigration follows verification and payment.
  3. We submit the application to immigration and keep you updated. Most France applications are approved in 24 to 72 hours, though immigration may occasionally take longer or request additional documents.
  4. We forward the visa PDF on WhatsApp. Keep it with your passport for the airline counter and arrival immigration.

Key dates to remember

The permit is valid for entry for 60 days from issue. The 30 or 60 day stay is measured from entry, not from issuance. Choose single entry for a straightforward visit, or multiple entry if you plan to hop to Oman, Saudi Arabia or Qatar and come back. Working on a tourist visa is not allowed.

Why the expiry date matters

UAE visit and tourist visas have no grace period after expiry. A fine of AED 50 applies for every day of overstay, the same flat rate across all visa types and emirates, and it starts the day after expiry. Anyone who overstays by more than 30 days also needs an exit permit, typically AED 250 to 300, before leaving. A WhatsApp reminder from us before expiry helps France visitors avoid fines.

Can France citizens extend the visa?

Extensions of 30 days are available three times on a 30 day visa and twice on a 60 day visa, with no exit needed. Combined stay is capped at 120 days. At the 120 day point, a new visa requires an exit, which can be done by an airport to airport change or the bus to Oman. You must apply before the visa runs out; we recommend contacting us with at least seven days to spare.

An alternative issued through Sharjah

A Sharjah issued 60 day single entry visa is available at AED 1,200 with no security deposit. It works for the entire country, including Dubai. We will advise on WhatsApp whether this suits France citizens better than the standard visa.

Common reasons a Dubai visa is delayed or refused

  • No back cover scan. Send it together with the front page.
  • Short passport validity, which leads to refusal.
  • Low resolution photos of documents, which immigration may reject.
  • Previous overstays, unpaid fines or improperly cancelled visas. Tell us about any past UAE history so we can advise honestly before you pay.
  • Passports bearing a single name, which require a supporting document before we can apply.
  • Booking flights before the visa is approved without allowing enough processing time.

France passport Dubai visa FAQ

How many days until approval?

Usually one to three working days. The decision rests with immigration, and delays are possible, so do not book non changeable flights until the visa is issued.

What does the 30 day visa cost?

AED 450 for single entry and AED 800 for multiple entry. Indian and Filipino passports pay AED 400 and AED 750. A refundable deposit may apply for some nationalities and is confirmed on WhatsApp.

What does the 60 day visa cost?

AED 650 for single entry and AED 1,000 for multiple entry. Indian and Filipino passports pay AED 600 and AED 950.

Do I need to show a bank statement?

It depends on nationality. Some passports are asked for a six month statement, and a UAE based family member can submit theirs instead. Immigration may also ask arriving travellers for proof of funds, so carry a card or cash. Message us on WhatsApp and we will confirm the rule for France passports.

What if I want to stay longer?

Yes. Extensions of 30 days are available three times on a 30 day visa and twice on a 60 day visa, all from inside the UAE, up to 120 days. Once exhausted, a visa change by air or bus is needed.

When do fines start?

None. The AED 50 daily fine starts the day after the visa expires, with an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 added after 30 days of overstay.

Is the visa fee refundable if my application is rejected?

The fee is not returned if the visa is refused; it covers government processing. Reapplying is possible after the cause of rejection is fixed.

Is there a visa for minors?

Yes. Children require an individual visa at the standard price. We need the passport, photo and birth certificate for each minor.

Does the tourist visa allow employment?

No. The visa is for visiting only. Taking up work requires an employment visa arranged by a UAE employer.
