Do Norway passport holders need a Dubai visa?
Most nationalities need a prearranged visa before flying to the UAE, and that is what we issue. A limited number of passports receive a visa on arrival at UAE airports, and the list changes from time to time. Message us a photo of your Norway passport on WhatsApp and we will confirm which rule applies before any payment is taken.
Dubai visa price for Norway passport holders
Current Dubai visa pricing for Norway citizens, verified September 2026:
- Single entry 30 day visa: AED 450
- 60 days, single entry: AED 650
- Multiple entry 30 day visa: AED 800
- 60 days, multiple entry: AED 1,000
The 30 day visa is the shortest tourist option the UAE offers. Fees are not refundable on rejection, since the government charge is paid the moment the application is lodged.
Refundable security deposit for some nationalities
Certain nationalities may need to place a refundable security deposit. The deposit sits apart from the visa fee, is returned after you leave the UAE, and we confirm the amount for Norway citizens on WhatsApp before booking.
Pay in monthly instalments
Residents of the UAE booking for Norway visitors can use Tabby for up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable repayment, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month terms set by the card issuer. Other travellers pay by a secure online payment link that we send on WhatsApp.

Dubai visa requirements for Norway passport holders
Send these on WhatsApp and we can usually confirm eligibility within the hour:
- Front page and back cover of the passport, six months validity minimum. Applications are most frequently sent back because the back cover was left out.
- One colour passport photo on a plain white background.
- A two way air ticket. If you have not booked flights yet, we can book them for you.
- For minors, a birth certificate. For a few nationalities, a copy of the national ID card is also required.
Bank statement requirements depend on nationality. Should Norway be one of the passports that needs one, a relative in the UAE can submit their own statement for you. Please also carry a card or some cash, since immigration can ask arriving visitors to show proof of funds.
Applying through a family member or friend in the UAE
For sponsored applications the UAE resident supplies a passport copy and residence visa page valid for six months, both sides of their Emirates ID, and the online guarantee form at applyvisa.app. A family member’s UAE bank statement can replace the visitor’s statement if one is required, though friends cannot substitute theirs.
How to apply for a Dubai visa from Norway
- Share your documents with us on WhatsApp at +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 and we confirm which visa fits your plans.
- Make the payment through the link we send. The application goes to immigration as soon as payment clears and documents are approved.
- We submit the application to immigration and keep you updated. Most Norway applications are approved in 24 to 72 hours, though immigration may occasionally take longer or request additional documents.
- We forward the visa PDF on WhatsApp. Keep it with your passport for the airline counter and arrival immigration.
Validity and duration of stay
You have 60 days from the issue date to enter the UAE. Your permitted stay runs from the entry stamp, not from the issue date. A single entry visa allows one arrival; a multiple entry visa lets you leave and re enter as often as you like within the validity, which suits travellers combining the UAE with Oman, Saudi Arabia or Qatar. A tourist visa does not permit employment in the UAE.
Why the expiry date matters
There is no grace period on a UAE tourist visa. Every day beyond expiry costs AED 50, whichever emirate issued the visa, starting immediately. Anyone who overstays by more than 30 days also needs an exit permit, typically AED 250 to 300, before leaving. We remind Norway travellers on WhatsApp before the expiry date, giving you time to act.

Visa extension without leaving the UAE
A 30 day visa can be extended three times for 30 days each, and a 60 day visa twice for 30 days each, with no exit required. The overall ceiling is 120 days of stay. When the extensions are used up, Norway visitors must exit and return on a fresh visa, either by a same day flight or by the Oman bus route. Apply for the extension ahead of the expiry date, ideally a week before.
Sharjah 60 day visa
For Norway travellers who prefer it, the Sharjah 60 day single entry visa costs AED 1,200 and carries no deposit. It works for the entire country, including Dubai. We can tell you on WhatsApp which of the two is the better fit for Norway applicants.
Why applications get held up
- Back cover not sent. It is the most common omission, so attach it from the start.
- Short passport validity, which leads to refusal.
- Low resolution photos of documents, which immigration may reject.
- Previous overstays, unpaid fines or improperly cancelled visas. Tell us about any past UAE history so we can advise honestly before you pay.
- A passport with a single name and no document showing a full name, which immigration cannot process.
- Last minute applications. Give us a minimum of three working days, longer around Eid and the winter peak.
Questions Norway travellers ask us
How many days until approval?
Most applications are approved within 24 to 72 hours. Processing time is decided by immigration and can be longer if additional documents are requested, so apply at least three working days before travel.
Price of a 30 day single entry visa?
The 30 day visa is AED 450 single entry or AED 800 multiple entry, with Indian and Filipino passports at AED 400 and AED 750. Some nationalities may also need a refundable deposit.
How much is a 60 day Dubai visa for Norway passport holders?
AED 650 single or AED 1,000 multiple entry, with the Indian and Filipino tariff at AED 600 and AED 950.
Do I need to show a bank statement?
It depends on nationality. Some passports are asked for a six month statement, and a UAE based family member can submit theirs instead. Immigration may also ask arriving travellers for proof of funds, so carry a card or cash. Message us on WhatsApp and we will confirm the rule for Norway passports.
Is in country extension possible?
Yes. Extensions of 30 days are available three times on a 30 day visa and twice on a 60 day visa, all from inside the UAE, up to 120 days. Once exhausted, a visa change by air or bus is needed.
Is there a grace period after the Dubai visa expires?
No. UAE visit and tourist visas have no grace period. A fine of AED 50 per day applies from the day after expiry, and overstays beyond 30 days also require an exit permit of about AED 250 to 300.
What if immigration refuses my Dubai visa?
No refund applies on refusal, since immigration retains the processing charge. You can apply again once the problem is addressed.
What about children on Norway passports?
Yes. Each child needs their own visa and pays the same fee as an adult. Send the child’s passport, photo and birth certificate on WhatsApp along with the parents’ documents.
Does the tourist visa allow employment?
Working on a tourist visa is prohibited. You can interview and explore opportunities, but employment needs a residence visa.
