A refundable security deposit may apply for some nationalities. It is separate from the visa price above, it is refunded after the visitor exits the UAE, and we will confirm on WhatsApp whether it applies to Serbia passports and how much it is.

Paperwork for a Dubai visa

1. Passport scan showing the front page and the back cover, valid for at least six months. A missing back cover is the most common reason an application is returned, so please include both.
2. A recent colour photograph, white background, passport dimensions, no glasses.
3. A return or two way flight ticket; if you do not have one, we can arrange the flights.
4. If the applicant is a minor, a birth certificate. Certain passports additionally need a national ID card copy.

A bank statement covering six months is required for certain passports. Where Serbia citizens are affected, the statement of a family member living in the UAE is accepted. On arrival, immigration may request evidence of funds, so have a bank card or cash to hand.

Applying through a family member or friend in the UAE

If a relative or friend living in the UAE is sponsoring a Serbia traveller, they provide their passport copy and residence visa page, each with six months validity, Emirates ID front and back, and fill in the guarantee form at applyvisa.app. If a statement is requested, a UAE family member may supply it on the applicant’s behalf, but a friend’s statement is not accepted.

Key dates to remember

Entry must take place within 60 days of issue, or the visa lapses. Your permitted stay runs from the entry stamp, not from the issue date. A single entry visa allows one arrival; a multiple entry visa lets you leave and re enter as often as you like within the validity, which suits travellers combining the UAE with Oman, Saudi Arabia or Qatar. A tourist visa does not permit employment in the UAE.

What happens if you overstay

There is no grace period on a UAE tourist visa. An expired visa attracts AED 50 per day in fines from day one, and the rate is the same everywhere in the UAE. After 30 days of overstay, an exit permit costing about AED 250 to 300 becomes necessary as well. Can Serbia citizens extend the visa?

Thirty day visas may be extended three times by 30 days, and 60 day visas twice by 30 days, all from inside the UAE. The maximum total stay is 120 days. Once you reach the maximum, you must exit and re enter, either through an airport to airport visa change or by bus to Oman. You must apply before the visa runs out; we recommend contacting us with at least seven days to spare.

An alternative issued through Sharjah

For Serbia travellers who prefer it, the Sharjah 60 day single entry visa costs AED 1,200 and carries no deposit. Holders may move freely across all seven emirates. We can tell you on WhatsApp which of the two is the better fit for Serbia applicants.

Common reasons a Dubai visa is delayed or refused

• No back cover scan. Send it together with the front page.
• Passport validity under six months. Renew before applying.
• Poor quality scans. Make sure the whole page is visible and readable.
• Past visa problems in the UAE. We assess these before submission so that you are not surprised by a refusal.
• A passport with a single name and no document showing a full name, which immigration cannot process.
• Last minute applications. Give us a minimum of three working days, longer around Eid and the winter peak.

Refund policy on rejection?

The fee is not returned if the visa is refused; it covers government processing. Reapplying is possible after the cause of rejection is fixed.

Is there a visa for minors?

Yes. Each child needs their own visa and pays the same fee as an adult. Send the child’s passport, photo and birth certificate on WhatsApp along with the parents’ documents.

Is working permitted?

No. The visa is for visiting only. Taking up work requires an employment visa arranged by a UAE employer.
