What happens if you overstay

There is no grace period on a UAE tourist visa. Every day beyond expiry costs AED 50, whichever emirate issued the visa, starting immediately. Anyone who overstays by more than 30 days also needs an exit permit, typically AED 250 to 300, before leaving. Staying longer than 30 or 60 days

Extensions of 30 days are available three times on a 30 day visa and twice on a 60 day visa, with no exit needed. Combined stay is capped at 120 days. At the 120 day point, a new visa requires an exit, which can be done by an airport to airport change or the bus to Oman. Extensions are only accepted before expiry, so message us while you still have a week or more left.
