No tourist visa shorter than 30 days is available. The visa fee is paid to immigration at submission and cannot be refunded if the application is declined.

Does a Vietnam passport need a deposit?

A refundable security deposit may apply for some nationalities. The deposit sits apart from the visa fee, is returned after you leave the UAE, and we confirm the amount for Vietnam citizens on WhatsApp before booking.

What Vietnam citizens need to send us

1. Passport scan showing the front page and the back cover, valid for at least six months. A missing back cover is the most common reason an application is returned, so please include both.
2. A white background colour photo in passport format, without eyewear.
3. A two way air ticket. If you have not booked flights yet, we can book them for you.
4. Birth certificate for any child applicant. A national ID copy is required for some nationalities.

Some nationalities may be asked for a six month bank statement, and where that applies to a Vietnam passport a UAE based family member’s statement can be submitted on your behalf. Please also carry a card or some cash, since immigration can ask arriving visitors to show proof of funds.

If a UAE resident is sponsoring you

Sponsors based in the UAE send their passport and residence visa copies with six months validity, front and back of the Emirates ID, and complete the guarantee form at applyvisa.app. A family member’s UAE bank statement can replace the visitor’s statement if one is required, though friends cannot substitute theirs.

Validity and duration of stay

You have 60 days from the issue date to enter the UAE. The stay period, 30 or 60 days, starts counting from your arrival date. A single entry visa allows one arrival; a multiple entry visa lets you leave and re enter as often as you like within the validity, which suits travellers combining the UAE with Oman, Saudi Arabia or Qatar. Working on a tourist visa is not allowed.

No grace period and the AED 50 daily fine

UAE visit and tourist visas have no grace period after expiry. Every day beyond expiry costs AED 50, whichever emirate issued the visa, starting immediately. Overstays beyond 30 days additionally require an exit permit of roughly AED 250 to 300. We send Vietnam clients a reminder on WhatsApp before the visa expires so that you can extend or exit in time.

Can Vietnam citizens extend the visa?

A 30 day visa can be extended three times for 30 days each, and a 60 day visa twice for 30 days each, with no exit required. The overall ceiling is 120 days of stay. After the limit, the only way to stay on is to leave and come back on a new visa, by air through an airport to airport change or by bus via Oman. Extension applications must be submitted before the current visa expires, so contact us with at least a week remaining.

Sharjah visa option

An alternative is the 60 day single entry visa issued through Sharjah, priced at AED 1,200 without any deposit. Holders may move freely across all seven emirates. Message us and we will compare both routes for your Vietnam passport.

Mistakes Vietnam applicants should avoid

• Missing passport back cover. Include it with your first message to avoid resubmission.
• Less than six months on the passport. Immigration will not approve the visa in that case.
• Low resolution photos of documents, which immigration may reject.
• Past visa problems in the UAE. We assess these before submission so that you are not surprised by a refusal.
• One name only on the passport without a supporting document; message us first if this applies to you.
• Last minute applications. Give us a minimum of three working days, longer around Eid and the winter peak.

Refund policy on rejection?
