a2a visa change for Belize citizens

A a2a visa change is the fastest lawful way for Belize passport holders to receive a new 60 day UAE tourist visa when the visa they currently hold can no longer be extended. We take care of the flydubai booking, the visa submission and the timing, so Belize travellers spend the least possible time away from Dubai.

Short version: AED 1,550, one flydubai return flight, one new 60 day single entry tourist visa, and a typical turnaround of six to twelve hours for Belize citizens doing a a2a visa change.

Looking to extend your stay in the UAE?

Let White Sky Travel help you process an airport visa change from a tourist visa, cancelled residence visa, or current visa on-arrival.

How a a2a visa change works

At its core, a a2a visa change is a short trip out of the country so that a new visa can be issued. UAE immigration issues the new tourist visa against your Belize passport while you are physically outside the country, so leaving is not optional. A flydubai rotation to a nearby GCC airport is the fastest way to do it. From Dubai you would normally fly to Muscat, Kuwait City or Doha and return to Terminal 2 within six to twelve hours.

The land alternative is the visa change by bus to Oman, which takes longer and involves a night near the border. A a2a visa change costs more than the bus, yet it saves a day and suits families, older travellers and anyone with work or school commitments in Dubai.

Is a a2a visa change the right option for you?

Most 30 day and 60 day UAE visit visas can now be extended from inside the country, so a a2a visa change is not always necessary. Here is when it becomes the right choice for a Belize passport holder:

  • You have reached the 120 day ceiling after extending a 30 day visa three times or a 60 day visa twice.
  • Your employer has cancelled your residence visa. Cancellation papers cannot be extended, so a a2a visa change converts you to a 60 day tourist visa.
  • You missed the extension deadline. With fines already running, a a2a visa change is the fastest way to regularise your status.
  • Your visa category is not eligible for extension. We check this for Belize citizens on WhatsApp before you spend anything.

Overstay fines and why you should book early

An expired visa attracts a fine of AED 50 per day, and that figure is the same for every visa category and every emirate. Visitors do not receive any grace days, and the fine runs from the first day of overstay. If the overstay passes 30 days, an additional exit permit costing about AED 250 to 300 is required. A a2a visa change booked ten days before expiry costs exactly the same as one booked on the last day, so we recommend contacting us when you still have 10 to 15 days remaining.

a2a visa change price for Belize passport holders

Our a2a visa change package is a 60 day single entry UAE tourist visa plus a flydubai return flight, priced at AED 1,550. You pay the same figure for a tourist to tourist change and for a residence cancellation conversion. It covers the airline ticket, the visa fee and our coordination before, during and after the flight.

  • New UAE tourist visa: 60 days, single entry
  • Airline: flydubai, departing and returning at Dubai Terminal 2
  • Delivery: approved visa PDF on WhatsApp, usually before your return flight
  • Help: a dedicated consultant on WhatsApp for the whole process
  • Rate: AED 1,550 per person

A 30 day a2a visa change is not available through us because the processing cost is similar and the value is poorer than the 60 day visa. A surcharge of AED 100 applies to a small number of nationalities that require additional processing, and we will tell you before you pay whether a Belize passport is affected. Overstay fines, if any, are paid by the traveller at the immigration desk before departure and are not part of the package.

Some Belize applicants may need to place a refundable security deposit. It is independent of the visa price, is returned after you exit the country, and we state the amount clearly on WhatsApp first.

Pay in instalments

Residents of the UAE who book on behalf of Belize visitors can use Tabby for up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable repayment, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month terms set by the card issuer. Everyone else is sent a secure payment link online.

What Belize citizens need to send us

Share these four items on WhatsApp and we will confirm whether we can proceed, typically within the hour:

  1. Front page and back cover of the passport. Applications are most frequently sent back because the back cover was left out.
  2. Passport validity of at least six months from the planned travel date, with at least two blank pages and no damage.
  3. A recent colour photograph, white background, passport dimensions, no glasses.
  4. Whatever permit you currently hold: the tourist visa copy or the residence cancellation paper.

Bank statement requirements depend on nationality. Should Belize be one of the passports that needs one, a relative in the UAE can submit their own statement for you. Please also carry a card or some cash on the return flight, since immigration can ask arriving visitors to show proof of funds. Please complete the guarantee form at applyvisa.app once we confirm your booking.

The a2a visa change process from start to finish

Three to five days ahead

We confirm your flydubai flight, share the ticket and remind you to settle any overstay fine through the GDRFA or ICP app. With a valid visa, no payment is due at the airport. Book for Monday to Thursday if you can, as a Friday delay can stretch over the weekend.

Check in and exit at Dubai Terminal 2

Reach Terminal 2 at Dubai International about five hours early, check in with flydubai and ask for the outbound and return boarding passes together. Photograph both passes and send them to us on WhatsApp. Your exit stamp ends the current visa, and we lodge the fresh visa the instant the exit appears in the system.

At the transit airport

Flight time is roughly an hour. Because you do not leave the airport, Belize passport holders need no visa for the transit country. In standard cases the new visa is approved within a few hours and we send the PDF to your WhatsApp before your return flight. If your application is referred for a security check, approval can take 24 to 48 hours. Both flydubai and Air Arabia allow passengers to wait at the airport until the visa is approved, and we stay in contact throughout.

Re entry

Holding the approved PDF, you may pass through the Terminal 2 eGate. If approval has not come through yet, skip the eGate, approach a manual counter and stay in the waiting area until we send the PDF. Validity runs for 60 days from your arrival.

Choosing between a a2a visa change, extension and the Oman bus

An in country extension at AED 1,200 for 30 days is the simplest route if you are still eligible. A a2a visa change steps in when extension ends, and it gives 60 days instead of 30. Travellers on a tight budget sometimes choose the Oman bus, which starts at AED 1,000 for cancelled residents or AED 1,400 to 1,500 for visitors, at the cost of an overnight trip. For most Belize visitors the flight is the better balance of time, comfort and certainty.

FlyDubai airport visa renewal in dubai

Mistakes to avoid

  • Booking too late. Flights sell out around Eid, December and the January peak, so message us at least a week ahead.
  • Less than six months on the passport. Immigration will not approve a visa in that case, so renew first.
  • Ticket name errors. We need the full name exactly as printed in the Belize passport.
  • Overstay fines still due. Pay them in advance through the GDRFA or ICP app.
  • Expecting extra days after expiry. The UAE gives visitors none, so plan around the exact date.
  • Undisclosed history. Prior overstays, bans or uncancelled visas can lead to refusal, so share them with us upfront.

Frequently asked questions about a2a visa change for Belize passport

How long will I be away from Dubai?

Six to twelve hours is normal. Security checks occasionally push it to 24 to 48 hours, and you can wait at the airport throughout.

How many times can a Belize citizen do a a2a visa change?

There is no fixed limit, but every application is assessed on its own and repeated back to back changes attract closer scrutiny. Most of our clients do one or two before moving to a residence visa or leaving the UAE.

My residency was cancelled. Can I still apply?

Yes. This is the most common case we handle. Your employer cancels the residency, you receive the cancellation paper, and we convert you to a 60 day tourist visa at the same AED 1,550 rate.

What is the destination?

The destination is usually Muscat, though Kuwait City and Doha are also used. All three allow a same day turnaround.

Will I need a visa for the other country?

Not for a same day return. You do not enter Oman, Kuwait or Qatar; you stay in transit.

What about children on Belize passports?

Yes. WhatsApp us all the passports and we will send one price for the family.

What if immigration declines the application?

Very few applications are refused. If yours is, the return to Dubai is not possible and onward travel is required. Government visa fees cannot be refunded, so we review your history carefully first.

Is this an official process?

It is fully legal. The visa is issued by the UAE authorities in the normal way; the only difference is that you are outside the country at the time.
