Bosnia and Herzegovina passport a2a visa change in the UAE

When a visitor from Bosnia and Herzegovina has run out of extension options, a a2a visa change is the practical answer: a short flight out, a new visa issued while you wait, and a return within hours. We take care of the flydubai booking, the visa submission and the timing, so Bosnia and Herzegovina travellers spend the least possible time away from Dubai.

The essentials for Bosnia and Herzegovina passport holders: AED 1,550 all in, a same day flydubai rotation from Dubai Terminal 2, and a 60 day single entry visa issued while you wait at the transit airport.

Let White Sky Travel help you process an airport visa change from a tourist visa, cancelled residence visa, or current visa on-arrival.

The meaning of a2a visa change for Bosnia and Herzegovina passport holders

A a2a visa change is an exit and re entry. UAE immigration issues the new tourist visa against your Bosnia and Herzegovina passport while you are physically outside the country, so leaving is not optional. A short flight is the quickest way to meet that condition. From Dubai you would normally fly to Muscat, Kuwait City or Doha and return to Terminal 2 within six to twelve hours.

A bus visa change through Oman exists as well, but it costs a night away and a much longer day. A a2a visa change costs more than the bus, yet it saves a day and suits families, older travellers and anyone with work or school commitments in Dubai.

Is a a2a visa change the right option for you?

Many UAE visit visas can be extended without leaving, which means a a2a visa change is only needed in specific cases. These are the situations where Bosnia and Herzegovina travellers should book one:

  • All your extensions are used up. The UAE allows a 30 day visa to be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, and total stay cannot go beyond 120 days.
  • You are on a cancelled residence visa and want to stay on as a visitor while you find a new job. A a2a visa change gives you a 60 day tourist visa.
  • Your visa has already expired. Extensions must be filed before expiry, so once the date has passed the practical solution is to settle the fine and exit through a a2a visa change.
  • You hold a permit that is not extendable from inside the UAE. Send us a photo of your visa on WhatsApp and we will advise the correct route for a Bosnia and Herzegovina passport.

Why timing matters in 2026

An expired visa attracts a fine of AED 50 per day, and that figure is the same for every visa category and every emirate. Tourist and visit visas carry no grace period, which means fines begin immediately after the expiry date. Overstays beyond 30 days also require an exit permit, usually AED 250 to 300, on top of the daily fine. Because the fee is the same whenever you book, the smart move is to reach out while 10 to 15 days remain on your visa.

a2a visa change cost from Dubai for Bosnia and Herzegovina citizens

We offer one product: a 60 day single entry UAE tourist visa with a flydubai return ticket for AED 1,550. Tourist visa holders and cancelled residents pay an identical amount. Included are the ticket, the visa processing and our WhatsApp guidance from booking to entry.

  • Visa issued: 60 day single entry UAE tourist visa
  • Airline: flydubai, departing and returning at Dubai Terminal 2
  • How you get it: a PDF copy on WhatsApp while you wait at the transit airport
  • Assistance: WhatsApp support throughout, including on the day of travel
  • Cost: AED 1,550 for each adult passenger

There is no 30 day version of our a2a visa change. The 30 day visa costs almost as much and delivers half the stay, so the 60 day package is the sensible option. A few nationalities pay an additional AED 100 for longer processing. We check the position for Bosnia and Herzegovina passports and tell you upfront. Fines for overstaying are cleared by the passenger at the airport and sit outside the package price.

Certain passports may be asked for a refundable security deposit. This is not part of the visa fee, it is refunded once you leave the UAE, and we will tell Bosnia and Herzegovina travellers the exact figure on WhatsApp in advance.

Pay in instalments

For UAE residents sponsoring a Bosnia and Herzegovina family member or friend, the AED 1,550 can be split with Tabby up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card over 3, 6, 9 or 12 months according to the bank. Applicants who are not UAE residents pay through a secure online link.

Documents required for a Bosnia and Herzegovina passport

WhatsApp us the following and expect an eligibility answer within about an hour:

  1. A clear scan of your Bosnia and Herzegovina passport, both the data page and the back cover. Missing back covers cause most resubmissions.
  2. At least six months remaining validity, two empty pages, and no torn or water damaged pages.
  3. One colour passport photo on a plain white background, no more than six months old.
  4. The existing tourist visa PDF or, for cancelled residents, the cancellation document.

Depending on nationality, a six month bank statement may be requested. If that applies to Bosnia and Herzegovina applicants, a UAE resident family member can provide theirs instead. On arrival, immigration may request evidence of funds, so have a bank card or cash to hand. One more step: fill in the guarantee form at applyvisa.app a few days before you fly.

The a2a visa change process from start to finish

Preparation

Once your documents are approved we book the flydubai seat, send you the ticket and ask you to clear any fines in the GDRFA or ICP app. If you are within your visa validity, the airport stage costs nothing extra. Choose a Monday to Thursday departure. Friday flights carry a risk of weekend delays, since Saturday and Sunday are non working days for government offices.

Departure from Dubai

Get to Terminal 2 five hours ahead, complete flydubai check in and take both boarding passes. Send us a picture of each boarding pass on WhatsApp straight away. Your exit stamp ends the current visa, and we lodge the fresh visa the instant the exit appears in the system.

While you wait abroad

The hop to Muscat, Kuwait or Doha takes close to an hour. You stay in the international transit zone, so no visa for Oman, Kuwait or Qatar is required. Approval usually arrives within hours, and you receive the visa PDF on WhatsApp. Should a security check be triggered, expect 24 to 48 hours. The airline lets you wait airside and we stay on WhatsApp until the visa is issued.

Re entry

Once you have the PDF from us, you can use the eGate at Terminal 2 for a quick entry. If approval has not come through yet, skip the eGate, approach a manual counter and stay in the waiting area until we send the PDF. Your 60 days begin on the entry date.

Should Bosnia and Herzegovina travellers extend, fly or take the bus?

Where an extension is still possible, take it: the in country option costs AED 1,200 for 30 days and requires no flight. A a2a visa change steps in when extension ends, and it gives 60 days instead of 30. The Dubai to Oman bus is the budget option, starting from AED 1,000 for cancelled residents and AED 1,400 to 1,500 for visit visa holders, but it takes one to two days with an overnight stay. For most Bosnia and Herzegovina visitors the flight is the better balance of time, comfort and certainty.

FlyDubai airport visa renewal in dubai

Mistakes to avoid

  • Leaving it to the last minute. Seats disappear around Eid, December and January, so contact us a week or more in advance.
  • A passport expiring within six months. Renew it before attempting a a2a visa change.
  • Mismatched names between ticket and passport, which airlines and immigration treat seriously.
  • Unpaid fines. Immigration will not let you board with outstanding overstay fines, so check and pay through the GDRFA or ICP app before you reach the airport.
  • Assuming a grace period. There is none, so a visa expiring on the 10th must be extended or exited by the 10th.
  • Hidden immigration records. Let us know about earlier problems so we can assess the risk honestly before booking.

Answers for Bosnia and Herzegovina citizens

What is the total time from departure to return?

Most Bosnia and Herzegovina travellers are back within six to twelve hours. A security check can extend this to 24 to 48 hours, during which you may wait at the airport.

How many times can a Bosnia and Herzegovina citizen do a a2a visa change?

You may repeat it, but approval is never automatic and repeated changes are scrutinised. One or two is typical.

Does this work after residency cancellation?

Yes. This is the most common case we handle. Your employer cancels the residency, you receive the cancellation paper, and we convert you to a 60 day tourist visa at the same AED 1,550 rate.

Which country will I transit through?

Muscat, Kuwait City or Doha, depending on flydubai availability on your chosen date. All are under two hours from Dubai and support a same day return.

Is a transit visa required?

No visa is required because you never clear immigration in the transit country.

Can I bring my family?

Yes. WhatsApp us all the passports and we will send one price for the family.

Is a refund possible if immigration refuses?

Refusals are rare. If immigration declines, you cannot re enter the UAE on the return flight and would need to travel onward. Visa processing fees are not refundable because they cover government costs, which is why we assess risk factors such as previous overstays or bans before you pay.

Is it lawful to do this?

It is fully legal. The visa is issued by the UAE authorities in the normal way; the only difference is that you are outside the country at the time.
