For travellers from Czech Republic, a a2a visa change means leaving the UAE on a short flight and coming back the same day with a brand new 60 day tourist visa. We arrange the flydubai return ticket, submit the visa application the moment your exit registers, and stay on WhatsApp with you until you clear immigration in Dubai.
Short version: AED 1,550, one flydubai return flight, one new 60 day single entry tourist visa, and a typical turnaround of six to twelve hours for Czech Republic citizens doing a a2a visa change.
Looking to extend your stay in the UAE?
Let White Sky Travel help you process an airport visa change from a tourist visa, cancelled residence visa, or current visa on-arrival.
How a a2a visa change works
At its core, a a2a visa change is a short trip out of the country so that a new visa can be issued. The rule is that the applicant, in this case a Czech Republic passport holder, must be abroad when the new visa is processed. A short flight is the quickest way to meet that condition. The usual routing from Dubai is to Muscat, Kuwait City or Doha, and most travellers are back in the arrivals hall at Terminal 2 within six to twelve hours of departure.
There is also a bus option to Oman, but it takes a full day or more and includes an overnight stay. Although a a2a visa change is dearer than the bus option, the time saved makes it the sensible choice for most Czech Republic visitors.
When Czech Republic passport holders need a a2a visa change
Since in country extension exists, a a2a visa change is the right move only when extension is no longer possible. These are the situations where Czech Republic travellers should book one:
- You have used every in country extension available. A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, each by 30 days, up to a total stay of 120 days.
- Your employer has cancelled your residence visa. Cancellation papers cannot be extended, so a a2a visa change converts you to a 60 day tourist visa.
- Your visa expired before you applied for an extension. In that case you pay the overstay fine and exit on a a2a visa change.
- You hold a permit that is not extendable from inside the UAE. Send us a photo of your visa on WhatsApp and we will advise the correct route for a Czech Republic passport.
The 2026 rule every Czech Republic visitor should know
UAE authorities charge AED 50 for every day a visit visa remains expired, and the same flat rate applies across all visa types and emirates. There is no grace period on tourist and visit visas, so the fine starts the day after expiry. Anyone who overstays by more than 30 days also needs an exit permit, typically AED 250 to 300, before they can leave. A a2a visa change booked ten days before expiry costs exactly the same as one booked on the last day, so we recommend contacting us when you still have 10 to 15 days remaining.

a2a visa change cost from Dubai for Czech Republic citizens
At White Sky Travel a a2a visa change costs AED 1,550 and includes the flydubai return ticket and a 60 day single entry tourist visa. You pay the same figure for a tourist to tourist change and for a residence cancellation conversion. It covers the airline ticket, the visa fee and our coordination before, during and after the flight.
- New UAE tourist visa: 60 days, single entry
- Ticket: flydubai return from Dubai International Terminal 2 to a nearby GCC airport
- Visa delivery: PDF sent to you on WhatsApp once immigration approves
- Assistance: WhatsApp support throughout, including on the day of travel
- Rate: AED 1,550 per person
There is no 30 day version of our a2a visa change. The 30 day visa costs almost as much and delivers half the stay, so the 60 day package is the sensible option. A few nationalities pay an additional AED 100 for longer processing. We check the position for Czech Republic passports and tell you upfront. Fines for overstaying are cleared by the passenger at the airport and sit outside the package price.
A refundable security deposit may apply for some nationalities. It is separate from the visa price, it is returned after you exit the UAE at the end of your stay, and we confirm the amount for Czech Republic passports on WhatsApp before you pay anything.
Pay in instalments
If you are a UAE resident arranging a a2a visa change for a relative or friend holding a Czech Republic passport, you can pay through Tabby over up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card in 3, 6, 9 or 12 monthly instalments subject to your bank. Applicants who are not UAE residents pay through a secure online link.
What Czech Republic citizens need to send us
Message us these items on WhatsApp and we will normally confirm your eligibility within an hour:
- Passport scan showing the front page and the back cover. A missing back cover is the most common reason an application is returned, so please include both.
- Passport validity of at least six months from the planned travel date, with at least two blank pages and no damage.
- A recent colour photograph, white background, passport dimensions, no glasses.
- The existing tourist visa PDF or, for cancelled residents, the cancellation document.
Bank statement requirements depend on nationality. Should Czech Republic be one of the passports that needs one, a relative in the UAE can submit their own statement for you. UAE immigration may also ask arriving travellers to show proof of funds on entry, so carry a card or cash that demonstrates you can support your stay. One more step: fill in the guarantee form at applyvisa.app a few days before you fly.
How the day unfolds for a Czech Republic passport holder
Three to five days ahead
We lock in the flight, forward the ticket on WhatsApp and check that any outstanding fines have been paid online. If you are within your visa validity, the airport stage costs nothing extra. Avoid Fridays. If a security check is triggered on a Friday, approval may slip past the weekend when offices are closed.
Departure from Dubai
Reach Terminal 2 at Dubai International about five hours early, check in with flydubai and ask for the outbound and return boarding passes together. Photograph both passes and send them to us on WhatsApp. Immigration then stamps you out, which formally ends your current visa, and the moment your exit registers we submit your new visa application.
In Muscat, Kuwait or Doha
The hop to Muscat, Kuwait or Doha takes close to an hour. You remain in the transit area and do not need to clear immigration in Oman, Kuwait or Qatar for a same day return. Approval usually arrives within hours, and you receive the visa PDF on WhatsApp. Occasionally immigration orders a security check, extending the wait to 24 to 48 hours. You can remain at the airport and we will monitor the status with you.
Returning to Dubai
Holding the approved PDF, you may pass through the Terminal 2 eGate. Without the PDF in hand, use a manual immigration counter rather than the eGate and remain in the designated area. The new 60 day visa starts counting from the day you re enter.
A2A versus extension versus bus
If you still have an in country extension available, use it first; a 30 day extension without exit costs AED 1,200 and needs no travel. When you can no longer extend, a a2a visa change provides twice the stay of an extension for AED 1,550. The bus to Oman costs less, from AED 1,000 for residence cancellation and AED 1,400 to 1,500 for visit visa holders, but it takes a day or two and includes a night away. For most Czech Republic visitors the flight is the better balance of time, comfort and certainty.

What can go wrong and how to avoid it
- Late bookings. Demand spikes at Eid, in December and in January, so start early.
- A passport expiring within six months. Renew it before attempting a a2a visa change.
- Ticket name errors. We need the full name exactly as printed in the Czech Republic passport.
- Fines left unpaid. Settle everything online before the flight to avoid being held at the exit counter.
- Believing there is a buffer. There is not, and fines start the day after expiry.
- Undisclosed history. Prior overstays, bans or uncancelled visas can lead to refusal, so share them with us upfront.
Frequently asked questions about a2a visa change for Czech Republic passport
What is the total time from departure to return?
Most Czech Republic travellers are back within six to twelve hours. A security check can extend this to 24 to 48 hours, during which you may wait at the airport.
Is there a limit on repeat visa changes?
No official cap exists, though immigration reviews each case separately and frequent repeats draw more attention. Most Czech Republic visitors do one or two before obtaining residency or departing.
Can I do a a2a visa change on a cancelled residence visa?
Yes, and it is the situation we see most often. Once you have the cancellation paper, we process a 60 day tourist visa for AED 1,550.
What is the destination?
We book flydubai to Muscat, Kuwait or Doha based on seat availability. Each is a short flight with a same day return.
Do Czech Republic passport holders need an Oman visa for this?
No visa is required because you never clear immigration in the transit country.
Is there a family option?
Certainly. Every family member, including children, needs a ticket and visa, and we arrange all of them together.
What happens on rejection?
Very few applications are refused. If yours is, the return to Dubai is not possible and onward travel is required. Government visa fees cannot be refunded, so we review your history carefully first.
Is a a2a visa change legal?
Yes, completely. It follows standard immigration procedure, and a licensed agency such as ours submits the application through the proper system.
