a2a visa change for El Salvador passport holders

If you hold a El Salvador passport and your UAE visit visa is close to expiry, a a2a visa change is the quickest legal route to a fresh 60 day tourist visa. We take care of the flydubai booking, the visa submission and the timing, so El Salvador travellers spend the least possible time away from Dubai.

Short version: AED 1,550, one flydubai return flight, one new 60 day single entry tourist visa, and a typical turnaround of six to twelve hours for El Salvador citizens doing a a2a visa change.

Let White Sky Travel help you process an airport visa change from a tourist visa, cancelled residence visa, or current visa on-arrival.

The meaning of a2a visa change for El Salvador passport holders

A a2a visa change is simply a controlled exit followed by a fresh entry. Immigration only links a new visa to a El Salvador passport once the holder has left the UAE, which is why the flight is essential. A short flight is the quickest way to meet that condition. The usual routing from Dubai is to Muscat, Kuwait City or Doha, and most travellers are back in the arrivals hall at Terminal 2 within six to twelve hours of departure.

A bus visa change through Oman exists as well, but it costs a night away and a much longer day. The flight route is pricier than the bus, but it saves an entire day and works better for families, seniors and people who cannot take time off.

Situations where El Salvador citizens need a a2a visa change

A a2a visa change is a fallback, because the UAE allows visit visa extension without exit in many cases. You will need a a2a visa change on a El Salvador passport if any of the following applies:

  • You have reached the 120 day ceiling after extending a 30 day visa three times or a 60 day visa twice.
  • Your employer has cancelled your residence visa. Cancellation papers cannot be extended, so a a2a visa change converts you to a 60 day tourist visa.
  • Your visa has already expired. Extensions must be filed before expiry, so once the date has passed the practical solution is to settle the fine and exit through a a2a visa change.
  • Your visa category is not eligible for extension. We check this for El Salvador citizens on WhatsApp before you spend anything.

Overstay fines and why you should book early

The overstay fine in the UAE is AED 50 per day, applied uniformly to tourist, visit and residence visas in every emirate. Tourist and visit visas carry no grace period, which means fines begin immediately after the expiry date. After 30 days of overstay, an exit permit of roughly AED 250 to 300 becomes necessary as well. A a2a visa change booked ten days before expiry costs exactly the same as one booked on the last day, so we recommend contacting us when you still have 10 to 15 days remaining.

a2a visa change price for El Salvador passport holders

At White Sky Travel a a2a visa change costs AED 1,550 and includes the flydubai return ticket and a 60 day single entry tourist visa. Tourist visa holders and cancelled residents pay an identical amount. The amount includes the flight, the government visa fee and our support throughout the day.

  • What you receive: a 60 day single entry tourist visa for the UAE
  • Flight: flydubai return ticket from Dubai Terminal 2 to Muscat, Kuwait City or Doha
  • How you get it: a PDF copy on WhatsApp while you wait at the transit airport
  • Support: our consultants on WhatsApp from booking until you clear immigration
  • Cost: AED 1,550 for each adult passenger

We do not offer a 30 day a2a visa change. A 30 day visa costs nearly the same to process and gives you half the time, so the 60 day option is better value in every case we see. A surcharge of AED 100 applies to a small number of nationalities that require additional processing, and we will tell you before you pay whether a El Salvador passport is affected. Fines for overstaying are cleared by the passenger at the airport and sit outside the package price.

For a limited set of nationalities a refundable deposit is requested. It sits apart from the AED 1,550, comes back to you after your final exit, and we confirm whether it applies to El Salvador citizens before booking.

Instalment options

If you are a UAE resident arranging a a2a visa change for a relative or friend holding a El Salvador passport, you can pay through Tabby over up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card in 3, 6, 9 or 12 monthly instalments subject to your bank. Other travellers pay by a secure online payment link that we send on WhatsApp.

a2a visa change documents for El Salvador passport holders

Message us these items on WhatsApp and we will normally confirm your eligibility within an hour:

  1. Front page and back cover of the passport. Applications are most frequently sent back because the back cover was left out.
  2. Passport validity of at least six months from the planned travel date, with at least two blank pages and no damage.
  3. A white background colour photo in passport format, without eyewear, taken recently.
  4. Whatever permit you currently hold: the tourist visa copy or the residence cancellation paper.

Bank statement requirements depend on nationality. Should El Salvador be one of the passports that needs one, a relative in the UAE can submit their own statement for you. Please also carry a card or some cash on the return flight, since immigration can ask arriving visitors to show proof of funds. One more step: fill in the guarantee form at applyvisa.app a few days before you fly.

What happens on the day

Preparation

We lock in the flight, forward the ticket on WhatsApp and check that any outstanding fines have been paid online. With a valid visa, no payment is due at the airport. Avoid Fridays. If a security check is triggered on a Friday, approval may slip past the weekend when offices are closed.

Departure from Dubai

Reach Terminal 2 at Dubai International about five hours early, check in with flydubai and ask for the outbound and return boarding passes together. Send us a picture of each boarding pass on WhatsApp straight away. Your exit stamp ends the current visa, and we lodge the fresh visa the instant the exit appears in the system.

While you wait abroad

You will be in the air for about an hour. You stay in the international transit zone, so no visa for Oman, Kuwait or Qatar is required. Approval usually arrives within hours, and you receive the visa PDF on WhatsApp. Occasionally immigration orders a security check, extending the wait to 24 to 48 hours. You can remain at the airport and we will monitor the status with you.

Arrival at Terminal 2

Once you have the PDF from us, you can use the eGate at Terminal 2 for a quick entry. Without the PDF in hand, use a manual immigration counter rather than the eGate and remain in the designated area. Your 60 days begin on the entry date.

A2A versus extension versus bus

An in country extension at AED 1,200 for 30 days is the simplest route if you are still eligible. A a2a visa change becomes the right choice the moment extension is no longer possible, and it delivers 60 days rather than 30 for AED 1,550. The Dubai to Oman bus is the budget option, starting from AED 1,000 for cancelled residents and AED 1,400 to 1,500 for visit visa holders, but it takes one to two days with an overnight stay. Most El Salvador passport holders find the flight worth the difference for the time it saves.

FlyDubai airport visa renewal in dubai

Why applications get delayed

  • Booking too late. Flights sell out around Eid, December and the January peak, so message us at least a week ahead.
  • A passport expiring within six months. Renew it before attempting a a2a visa change.
  • Ticket name errors. We need the full name exactly as printed in the El Salvador passport.
  • Outstanding fines. Clear them in the GDRFA or ICP app before travel, or you will be stopped at immigration.
  • Believing there is a buffer. There is not, and fines start the day after expiry.
  • Previous immigration issues. Old bans, unresolved cases or improperly cancelled visas can affect approval, so tell us about them before you pay.

El Salvador passport a2a visa change FAQ

What is the total time from departure to return?

Six to twelve hours is normal. Security checks occasionally push it to 24 to 48 hours, and you can wait at the airport throughout.

Is there a limit on repeat visa changes?

You may repeat it, but approval is never automatic and repeated changes are scrutinised. One or two is typical.

Is a a2a visa change possible for cancelled residents?

Absolutely. Cancelled residents from El Salvador are converted to a 60 day tourist visa through a a2a visa change at the standard AED 1,550.

Where does the flight go?

Muscat is the most common, with Kuwait and Doha as alternatives, all within two hours of Dubai.

Do I need a visa for Oman, Kuwait or Qatar?

No. You remain airside at the transit airport, so no visa for that country is needed.

Can my children travel on the same package?

Yes. Children require individual tickets and visas, and we prepare a single quote for the whole family.

What happens on rejection?

Refusals are rare. If immigration declines, you cannot re enter the UAE on the return flight and would need to travel onward. Visa processing fees are not refundable because they cover government costs, which is why we assess risk factors such as previous overstays or bans before you pay.

Is it lawful to do this?

Yes, completely. It follows standard immigration procedure, and a licensed agency such as ours submits the application through the proper system.
