For travellers from Honduras, a a2a visa change means leaving the UAE on a short flight and coming back the same day with a brand new 60 day tourist visa. At White Sky Travel we book the return flight, file the new visa as soon as your exit stamp is recorded, and keep in touch on WhatsApp from check in to arrival.
In short: Honduras passport holders pay AED 1,550 for a a2a visa change, which covers the return flight from Dubai, the 60 day single entry visa and our coordination, with most travellers back in Dubai within six to twelve hours.
Looking to extend your stay in the UAE?
Let White Sky Travel help you process an airport visa change from a tourist visa, cancelled residence visa, or current visa on-arrival.
What is a a2a visa change?
At its core, a a2a visa change is a short trip out of the country so that a new visa can be issued. UAE immigration issues the new tourist visa against your Honduras passport while you are physically outside the country, so leaving is not optional. A flydubai rotation to a nearby GCC airport is the fastest way to do it. The usual routing from Dubai is to Muscat, Kuwait City or Doha, and most travellers are back in the arrivals hall at Terminal 2 within six to twelve hours of departure.
The land alternative is the visa change by bus to Oman, which takes longer and involves a night near the border. A a2a visa change costs more than the bus, yet it saves a day and suits families, older travellers and anyone with work or school commitments in Dubai.
When Honduras passport holders need a a2a visa change
Most 30 day and 60 day UAE visit visas can now be extended from inside the country, so a a2a visa change is not always necessary. For Honduras citizens, the following circumstances call for a a2a visa change:
- All your extensions are used up. The UAE allows a 30 day visa to be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, and total stay cannot go beyond 120 days.
- You are on a cancelled residence visa and want to stay on as a visitor while you find a new job. A a2a visa change gives you a 60 day tourist visa.
- You missed the extension deadline. With fines already running, a a2a visa change is the fastest way to regularise your status.
- You hold a permit that is not extendable from inside the UAE. Send us a photo of your visa on WhatsApp and we will advise the correct route for a Honduras passport.
Overstay fines and why you should book early
UAE authorities charge AED 50 for every day a visit visa remains expired, and the same flat rate applies across all visa types and emirates. There is no grace period on tourist and visit visas, so the fine starts the day after expiry. Anyone who overstays by more than 30 days also needs an exit permit, typically AED 250 to 300, before they can leave. Because the fee is the same whenever you book, the smart move is to reach out while 10 to 15 days remain on your visa.

How much does a a2a visa change cost?
At White Sky Travel a a2a visa change costs AED 1,550 and includes the flydubai return ticket and a 60 day single entry tourist visa. There is one rate for both tourist visa renewals and residence cancellation cases. It covers the airline ticket, the visa fee and our coordination before, during and after the flight.
- Visa type: 60 days, single entry
- Flight: flydubai return ticket from Dubai Terminal 2 to Muscat, Kuwait City or Doha
- How you get it: a PDF copy on WhatsApp while you wait at the transit airport
- Support: our consultants on WhatsApp from booking until you clear immigration
- Rate: AED 1,550 per person
A 30 day a2a visa change is not available through us because the processing cost is similar and the value is poorer than the 60 day visa. Some nationalities carry an AED 100 surcharge for extended processing; we confirm on WhatsApp whether this applies to Honduras citizens. If you have overstayed, the fine is paid directly to immigration and is not included in the AED 1,550.
Some Honduras applicants may need to place a refundable security deposit. It is independent of the visa price, is returned after you exit the country, and we state the amount clearly on WhatsApp first.
Instalment options
For UAE residents sponsoring a Honduras family member or friend, the AED 1,550 can be split with Tabby up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card over 3, 6, 9 or 12 months according to the bank. All other applicants receive a secure online payment link.
a2a visa change documents for Honduras passport holders
Share these four items on WhatsApp and we will confirm whether we can proceed, typically within the hour:
- Your passport data page plus a photo of the back cover. We ask for both because the back cover is the item most often forgotten.
- Passport validity of at least six months from the planned travel date, with at least two blank pages and no damage.
- A white background colour photo in passport format, without eyewear, taken recently.
- Your current visa copy, either the tourist visa you hold or the residence cancellation paper.
A bank statement covering six months is required for certain passports. Where Honduras citizens are affected, the statement of a family member living in the UAE is accepted. UAE immigration may also ask arriving travellers to show proof of funds on entry, so carry a card or cash that demonstrates you can support your stay. Please complete the guarantee form at applyvisa.app once we confirm your booking.
How the day unfolds for a Honduras passport holder
Three to five days ahead
We lock in the flight, forward the ticket on WhatsApp and check that any outstanding fines have been paid online. Travellers whose visa is still valid pay nothing at immigration. Book for Monday to Thursday if you can, as a Friday delay can stretch over the weekend.
At the airport
Plan to be at Dubai Terminal 2 five hours before the flight, check in and receive boarding passes for both sectors. Take clear photos of the two passes and send them to your consultant on WhatsApp. Your exit stamp ends the current visa, and we lodge the fresh visa the instant the exit appears in the system.
The waiting period
The flight takes around one hour. You stay in the international transit zone, so no visa for Oman, Kuwait or Qatar is required. Most applications clear within a few hours, and the approved visa reaches your WhatsApp as a PDF. Should a security check be triggered, expect 24 to 48 hours. The airline lets you wait airside and we stay on WhatsApp until the visa is issued.
Back in the UAE
If we have already sent the PDF, go straight to the eGate at Terminal 2. If approval has not come through yet, skip the eGate, approach a manual counter and stay in the waiting area until we send the PDF. The new 60 day visa starts counting from the day you re enter.
A2A versus extension versus bus
Where an extension is still possible, take it: the in country option costs AED 1,200 for 30 days and requires no flight. When you can no longer extend, a a2a visa change provides twice the stay of an extension for AED 1,550. The Dubai to Oman bus is the budget option, starting from AED 1,000 for cancelled residents and AED 1,400 to 1,500 for visit visa holders, but it takes one to two days with an overnight stay. On balance, Honduras citizens usually prefer the a2a visa change for its speed and comfort.

What can go wrong and how to avoid it
- Booking too late. Flights sell out around Eid, December and the January peak, so message us at least a week ahead.
- A passport expiring within six months. Renew it before attempting a a2a visa change.
- Spelling differences. Ticket and passport names must be identical, middle names included.
- Fines left unpaid. Settle everything online before the flight to avoid being held at the exit counter.
- Expecting extra days after expiry. The UAE gives visitors none, so plan around the exact date.
- Hidden immigration records. Let us know about earlier problems so we can assess the risk honestly before booking.
Frequently asked questions about a2a visa change for Honduras passport
How long does a a2a visa change take for a Honduras passport?
Most Honduras travellers are back within six to twelve hours. A security check can extend this to 24 to 48 hours, during which you may wait at the airport.
Can I do this more than once?
No official cap exists, though immigration reviews each case separately and frequent repeats draw more attention. Most Honduras visitors do one or two before obtaining residency or departing.
Can I do a a2a visa change on a cancelled residence visa?
Absolutely. Cancelled residents from Honduras are converted to a 60 day tourist visa through a a2a visa change at the standard AED 1,550.
Which country will I transit through?
Muscat, Kuwait City or Doha, depending on flydubai availability on your chosen date. All are under two hours from Dubai and support a same day return.
Do Honduras passport holders need an Oman visa for this?
No. For a same day return you stay in the international transit area and do not pass through the other country’s immigration.
Can my children travel on the same package?
Yes. Children require individual tickets and visas, and we prepare a single quote for the whole family.
What happens on rejection?
Refusals are rare. If immigration declines, you cannot re enter the UAE on the return flight and would need to travel onward. Visa processing fees are not refundable because they cover government costs, which is why we assess risk factors such as previous overstays or bans before you pay.
Is a a2a visa change legal?
Yes. It is a standard immigration process: you exit on your old visa and enter on a new one issued by UAE authorities. Always use a licensed agency so the visa is applied through official channels.
