If you hold a Poland passport and your UAE visit visa is close to expiry, a a2a visa change is the quickest legal route to a fresh 60 day tourist visa. At White Sky Travel we book the return flight, file the new visa as soon as your exit stamp is recorded, and keep in touch on WhatsApp from check in to arrival.
Short version: AED 1,550, one flydubai return flight, one new 60 day single entry tourist visa, and a typical turnaround of six to twelve hours for Poland citizens doing a a2a visa change.
Looking to extend your stay in the UAE?
Let White Sky Travel help you process an airport visa change from a tourist visa, cancelled residence visa, or current visa on-arrival.
The meaning of a2a visa change for Poland passport holders
A a2a visa change works on one principle: you must be outside UAE territory before a new tourist visa can be activated against your passport. The rule is that the applicant, in this case a Poland passport holder, must be abroad when the new visa is processed. A flydubai rotation to a nearby GCC airport is the fastest way to do it. From Dubai you would normally fly to Muscat, Kuwait City or Doha and return to Terminal 2 within six to twelve hours.
Some visitors choose the Oman bus route instead, though it is slower and involves sleeping near the border crossing. Flying is the more expensive choice, but it is faster and far more comfortable for Poland families, older passengers and busy professionals.
When Poland passport holders need a a2a visa change
Since in country extension exists, a a2a visa change is the right move only when extension is no longer possible. Here is when it becomes the right choice for a Poland passport holder:
- Your extensions are exhausted: three for a 30 day visa, two for a 60 day visa, with 120 days as the overall limit.
- You are on a cancelled residence visa and want to stay on as a visitor while you find a new job. A a2a visa change gives you a 60 day tourist visa.
- You missed the extension deadline. With fines already running, a a2a visa change is the fastest way to regularise your status.
- Your visa category is not eligible for extension. We check this for Poland citizens on WhatsApp before you spend anything.
Why timing matters in 2026
Every day past expiry costs AED 50 in fines, whichever emirate issued the visa and whichever visa type you hold. Visitors do not receive any grace days, and the fine runs from the first day of overstay. Anyone who overstays by more than 30 days also needs an exit permit, typically AED 250 to 300, before they can leave. Booking early costs nothing extra, so we advise Poland travellers to message us with 10 to 15 days left on the current visa.

a2a visa change cost from Dubai for Poland citizens
We offer one product: a 60 day single entry UAE tourist visa with a flydubai return ticket for AED 1,550. Tourist visa holders and cancelled residents pay an identical amount. It covers the airline ticket, the visa fee and our coordination before, during and after the flight.
- New UAE tourist visa: 60 days, single entry
- Airline: flydubai, departing and returning at Dubai Terminal 2
- How you get it: a PDF copy on WhatsApp while you wait at the transit airport
- Help: a dedicated consultant on WhatsApp for the whole process
- Rate: AED 1,550 per person
We do not offer a 30 day a2a visa change. A 30 day visa costs nearly the same to process and gives you half the time, so the 60 day option is better value in every case we see. A surcharge of AED 100 applies to a small number of nationalities that require additional processing, and we will tell you before you pay whether a Poland passport is affected. Fines for overstaying are cleared by the passenger at the airport and sit outside the package price.
For a limited set of nationalities a refundable deposit is requested. It sits apart from the AED 1,550, comes back to you after your final exit, and we confirm whether it applies to Poland citizens before booking.
Spread the cost
UAE residents booking a a2a visa change for a family member or friend from Poland can spread the AED 1,550 using Tabby with up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable terms, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month plans depending on the issuing bank. Applicants who are not UAE residents pay through a secure online link.
What Poland citizens need to send us
Send these on WhatsApp and we can usually confirm eligibility within the hour:
- A clear scan of your Poland passport, both the data page and the back cover. Missing back covers cause most resubmissions.
- Passport validity of at least six months from the planned travel date, with at least two blank pages and no damage.
- A recent colour photograph, white background, passport dimensions, no glasses.
- Whatever permit you currently hold: the tourist visa copy or the residence cancellation paper.
A bank statement covering six months is required for certain passports. Where Poland citizens are affected, the statement of a family member living in the UAE is accepted. On arrival, immigration may request evidence of funds, so have a bank card or cash to hand. We also ask you to complete the short guarantee form at applyvisa.app before travel day.
What happens on the day
The day before you fly
After verification we book flydubai, send your ticket and confirm that you have no unpaid fines on the GDRFA or ICP system. If your visa has not expired, there is nothing to pay at the airport. We always advise Poland travellers to fly Monday to Thursday, because a Friday departure that hits a delay can mean waiting through the Saturday and Sunday weekend.
Departure from Dubai
Get to Terminal 2 five hours ahead, complete flydubai check in and take both boarding passes. Take clear photos of the two passes and send them to your consultant on WhatsApp. Your exit stamp ends the current visa, and we lodge the fresh visa the instant the exit appears in the system.
The waiting period
You will be in the air for about an hour. You remain in the transit area and do not need to clear immigration in Oman, Kuwait or Qatar for a same day return. Typically the visa is granted in a few hours and we forward the PDF while you are still at the transit airport. Occasionally immigration orders a security check, extending the wait to 24 to 48 hours. You can remain at the airport and we will monitor the status with you.
Arrival at Terminal 2
If we have already sent the PDF, go straight to the eGate at Terminal 2. If approval has not come through yet, skip the eGate, approach a manual counter and stay in the waiting area until we send the PDF. Validity runs for 60 days from your arrival.
a2a visa change compared with other options
Where an extension is still possible, take it: the in country option costs AED 1,200 for 30 days and requires no flight. When you can no longer extend, a a2a visa change provides twice the stay of an extension for AED 1,550. The bus to Oman costs less, from AED 1,000 for residence cancellation and AED 1,400 to 1,500 for visit visa holders, but it takes a day or two and includes a night away. On balance, Poland citizens usually prefer the a2a visa change for its speed and comfort.

What can go wrong and how to avoid it
- Leaving it to the last minute. Seats disappear around Eid, December and January, so contact us a week or more in advance.
- A passport expiring within six months. Renew it before attempting a a2a visa change.
- Name mismatch. The name on the ticket must match the Poland passport exactly, including middle names.
- Unpaid fines. Immigration will not let you board with outstanding overstay fines, so check and pay through the GDRFA or ICP app before you reach the airport.
- Assuming a grace period. There is none, so a visa expiring on the 10th must be extended or exited by the 10th.
- Hidden immigration records. Let us know about earlier problems so we can assess the risk honestly before booking.
Answers for Poland citizens
How long will I be away from Dubai?
Most Poland travellers are back within six to twelve hours. A security check can extend this to 24 to 48 hours, during which you may wait at the airport.
Is there a limit on repeat visa changes?
No official cap exists, though immigration reviews each case separately and frequent repeats draw more attention. Most Poland visitors do one or two before obtaining residency or departing.
Is a a2a visa change possible for cancelled residents?
Absolutely. Cancelled residents from Poland are converted to a 60 day tourist visa through a a2a visa change at the standard AED 1,550.
What is the destination?
Muscat is the most common, with Kuwait and Doha as alternatives, all within two hours of Dubai.
Do I need a visa for Oman, Kuwait or Qatar?
No. For a same day return you stay in the international transit area and do not pass through the other country’s immigration.
What about children on Poland passports?
Certainly. Every family member, including children, needs a ticket and visa, and we arrange all of them together.
What if my visa is not approved?
Rejection is uncommon. Should it happen, you would need to fly on to your home country or another destination, and the visa fee is not refundable as it is a government charge. We flag risks before booking so that this does not come as a surprise.
Is it lawful to do this?
Yes. You leave on the current visa and return on a new one granted by UAE immigration. Using a licensed agency keeps the application within official channels.
