- Book your a2a visa change with White Sky Travel
For travellers from Philippines, a a2a visa change means leaving the UAE on a short flight and coming back the same day with a brand new 60 day tourist visa. Our team books the flight, lodges the visa application at the right moment and guides you on WhatsApp through every stage of the day.
In short: Philippines passport holders pay AED 1,550 for a a2a visa change, which covers the return flight from Dubai, the 60 day single entry visa and our coordination, with most travellers back in Dubai within six to twelve hours.
Looking to extend your stay in the UAE?
Let White Sky Travel help you process an airport visa change from a tourist visa, cancelled residence visa, or current visa on-arrival.
What is a a2a visa change?
A a2a visa change is simply a controlled exit followed by a fresh entry. UAE immigration issues the new tourist visa against your Philippines passport while you are physically outside the country, so leaving is not optional. A short flight is the quickest way to meet that condition. Most Philippines travellers fly from Dubai Terminal 2 to Muscat, Kuwait City or Doha and are back in Dubai the same day.
The land alternative is the visa change by bus to Oman, which takes longer and involves a night near the border. Although a a2a visa change is dearer than the bus option, the time saved makes it the sensible choice for most Philippines visitors.
Is a a2a visa change the right option for you?
Most 30 day and 60 day UAE visit visas can now be extended from inside the country, so a a2a visa change is not always necessary. Here is when it becomes the right choice for a Philippines passport holder:
- All your extensions are used up. The UAE allows a 30 day visa to be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, and total stay cannot go beyond 120 days.
- Your employer has cancelled your residence visa. Cancellation papers cannot be extended, so a a2a visa change converts you to a 60 day tourist visa.
- Your visa has already expired. Extensions must be filed before expiry, so once the date has passed the practical solution is to settle the fine and exit through a a2a visa change.
- You hold a permit that is not extendable from inside the UAE. Send us a photo of your visa on WhatsApp and we will advise the correct route for a Philippines passport.
Overstay fines and why you should book early
UAE authorities charge AED 50 for every day a visit visa remains expired, and the same flat rate applies across all visa types and emirates. Tourist and visit visas carry no grace period, which means fines begin immediately after the expiry date. Anyone who overstays by more than 30 days also needs an exit permit, typically AED 250 to 300, before they can leave. The price does not change with urgency, which is why we suggest starting the process with at least 10 to 15 days remaining.

a2a visa change cost from Dubai for Philippines citizens
At White Sky Travel a a2a visa change costs AED 1,550 and includes the flydubai return ticket and a 60 day single entry tourist visa. The price is the same whether you are changing from a tourist visa or converting a cancelled residence visa. It covers the airline ticket, the visa fee and our coordination before, during and after the flight.
- New UAE tourist visa: 60 days, single entry
- Ticket: flydubai return from Dubai International Terminal 2 to a nearby GCC airport
- How you get it: a PDF copy on WhatsApp while you wait at the transit airport
- Support: our consultants on WhatsApp from booking until you clear immigration
- Cost: AED 1,550 for each adult passenger
A 30 day a2a visa change is not available through us because the processing cost is similar and the value is poorer than the 60 day visa. An AED 100 supplement applies to certain passports that need extra processing time. Ask us whether Philippines is on that list before you book. Overstay fines, if any, are paid by the traveller at the immigration desk before departure and are not part of the package.
A refundable security deposit may apply for some nationalities. It is separate from the visa price, it is returned after you exit the UAE at the end of your stay, and we confirm the amount for Philippines passports on WhatsApp before you pay anything.
Pay in instalments
For UAE residents sponsoring a Philippines family member or friend, the AED 1,550 can be split with Tabby up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card over 3, 6, 9 or 12 months according to the bank. Applicants who are not UAE residents pay through a secure online link.
a2a visa change documents for Philippines passport holders
WhatsApp us the following and expect an eligibility answer within about an hour:
- A clear scan of your Philippines passport, both the data page and the back cover. Missing back covers cause most resubmissions.
- Six months minimum validity from your flight date, two blank pages, and a passport in clean condition.
- A colour passport size photo on a white background, taken within the last six months, without glasses.
- Whatever permit you currently hold: the tourist visa copy or the residence cancellation paper.
A bank statement covering six months is required for certain passports. Where Philippines citizens are affected, the statement of a family member living in the UAE is accepted. Please also carry a card or some cash on the return flight, since immigration can ask arriving visitors to show proof of funds. Before the flight we will send you a link to the guarantee form at applyvisa.app, which takes a few minutes to complete.
How the day unfolds for a Philippines passport holder
Before travel
After verification we book flydubai, send your ticket and confirm that you have no unpaid fines on the GDRFA or ICP system. Travellers whose visa is still valid pay nothing at immigration. Book for Monday to Thursday if you can, as a Friday delay can stretch over the weekend.
Check in and exit at Dubai Terminal 2
Get to Terminal 2 five hours ahead, complete flydubai check in and take both boarding passes. WhatsApp us photos of both boarding passes before you go through immigration. Immigration then stamps you out, which formally ends your current visa, and the moment your exit registers we submit your new visa application.
While you wait abroad
The hop to Muscat, Kuwait or Doha takes close to an hour. There is no need to enter the transit country; you stay airside and check in for the return sector. Most applications clear within a few hours, and the approved visa reaches your WhatsApp as a PDF. If your application is referred for a security check, approval can take 24 to 48 hours. Both flydubai and Air Arabia allow passengers to wait at the airport until the visa is approved, and we stay in contact throughout.
Re entry
Once you have the PDF from us, you can use the eGate at Terminal 2 for a quick entry. Should the visa still be pending on landing, avoid the eGate, use the manual counters and wait in the Terminal 2 holding area until we confirm. The new 60 day visa starts counting from the day you re enter.
Should Philippines travellers extend, fly or take the bus?
Before flying, check whether you qualify for the AED 1,200 in country extension, which adds 30 days without leaving. When you can no longer extend, a a2a visa change provides twice the stay of an extension for AED 1,550. The bus visa change is cheaper, beginning at AED 1,000 for cancelled residents and AED 1,400 to 1,500 for tourist visa holders, but it needs one to two days and an overnight stop. Most Philippines passport holders find the flight worth the difference for the time it saves.

What can go wrong and how to avoid it
- Leaving it to the last minute. Seats disappear around Eid, December and January, so contact us a week or more in advance.
- Short passport validity. Applications on passports with under six months remaining are refused.
- Mismatched names between ticket and passport, which airlines and immigration treat seriously.
- Outstanding fines. Clear them in the GDRFA or ICP app before travel, or you will be stopped at immigration.
- Expecting extra days after expiry. The UAE gives visitors none, so plan around the exact date.
- Undisclosed history. Prior overstays, bans or uncancelled visas can lead to refusal, so share them with us upfront.
Questions Philippines travellers ask us
How long does a a2a visa change take for a Philippines passport?
Most Philippines travellers are back within six to twelve hours. A security check can extend this to 24 to 48 hours, during which you may wait at the airport.
Is there a limit on repeat visa changes?
No official cap exists, though immigration reviews each case separately and frequent repeats draw more attention. Most Philippines visitors do one or two before obtaining residency or departing.
My residency was cancelled. Can I still apply?
Absolutely. Cancelled residents from Philippines are converted to a 60 day tourist visa through a a2a visa change at the standard AED 1,550.
What is the destination?
The destination is usually Muscat, though Kuwait City and Doha are also used. All three allow a same day turnaround.
Do Philippines passport holders need an Oman visa for this?
Not for a same day return. You do not enter Oman, Kuwait or Qatar; you stay in transit.
What about children on Philippines passports?
Yes. Each child needs their own ticket and visa. Send us the family’s passports on WhatsApp and we will quote for the group.
What if my visa is not approved?
Very few applications are refused. If yours is, the return to Dubai is not possible and onward travel is required. Government visa fees cannot be refunded, so we review your history carefully first.
Is it lawful to do this?
It is fully legal. The visa is issued by the UAE authorities in the normal way; the only difference is that you are outside the country at the time.
