If you hold a Honduras passport and your UAE visa is about to expire, a Bus visa change to Oman is the lowest cost way to leave the country and return on a fresh tourist visa. We arrange the round trip coach, your Oman visa, the new UAE visa and every border fee in one package from AED 1,000. Here is everything a Honduras passport holder needs to know before booking: price, schedule, documents and the border procedure.
Short version: from AED 1,000 all in for a Honduras passport, Sunday to Wednesday departures, one day round trip to the Oman border, new 60 day UAE tourist visa issued before you return.
Planning to extend your stay in the UAE?
Check our visa renewal by bus service, including the UAE visa, border fees, Oman visa, two way bus fare, and accommodation until your visa is approved. Monthly payment is available with Tabby, Tamara, and UAE credit cards up to 12 months.
How a UAE Bus visa change works
At its core, a Bus visa change is a controlled exit from the UAE by land followed by a fresh entry. Because the new permit can only be granted to someone who is outside the UAE, Honduras citizens must cross the border before the visa is approved. You travel by road to Oman, stay on the Omani side while the application is processed, and re enter the UAE with the new 60 day visa. The whole trip takes about one day, and an optional overnight stay in Oman is available if approval runs late.
If you would rather not spend a day on the road, an airport to airport visa change via flydubai takes six to twelve hours and costs AED 1,550. The bus saves money, and for most Honduras travellers on a budget that outweighs the longer day.
Who qualifies
The Bus visa change to Oman is available for selected nationalities, and eligibility depends on both your passport and the visa you currently hold. Send us a photo of your Honduras passport and current visa on WhatsApp and we will confirm within the hour whether the bus route is open to you, or whether the airport route or an in country extension is the better option. It is most commonly used by:
- Tourist visa holders who have used all their in country extensions. A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, each by 30 days, up to a total stay of 120 days; after that, an exit is required.
- Residents whose visa was cancelled and who want to convert to a 60 day tourist visa rather than leave the country.
- Visa on arrival holders whose stamp cannot be extended in country and who need a fresh visa to stay longer.
The rule every Honduras visitor should know
UAE authorities charge AED 50 for every day a visit visa remains expired, and the same flat rate applies across all visa types and emirates. Visitors do not receive any grace days, and the fine runs from the first day of overstay. Unpaid fines block the exit, so they must be cleared before travel day. Because the service runs Sunday to Wednesday only and seats are limited, we ask Honduras travellers to book 7 to 10 days before the visa expires.

How much does a Bus visa change to Oman cost?
Pricing follows your present visa category. Some nationalities may also be asked for a refundable deposit or a surcharge.
- AED 1,000 if you hold a cancellation paper or an arrival stamp
- AED 1,300 if you are currently on a tourist visa
The package price is all in: transport, Oman visa, UAE visa and border charges. We issue a 60 day single entry visa as standard. A 30 day version is sometimes available, so ask us when you book. A one day stay in Oman is available as an add on. If you have overstayed, the fine is paid to immigration and is not included in the AED 1,000 or AED 1,300.
A refundable security deposit may apply for some nationalities. It is separate from the package price, it is refunded after you exit the UAE at the end of your stay, and we confirm the amount for Honduras passports on WhatsApp before you pay anything.
Pay in instalments
For UAE residents sponsoring a Honduras family member or friend, the package can be split with Tabby up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card over 3, 6, 9 or 12 months according to the bank. Other travellers pay by a secure online payment link that we send on WhatsApp.
Paperwork for a Bus visa change
Share these items on WhatsApp and we will confirm whether we can proceed, typically within the hour:
- A clear scan of your Honduras passport, both the data page and the back cover, with at least six months validity. Missing back covers cause most resubmissions.
- A recent colour photograph, white background, passport dimensions, no glasses.
- Whatever permit you currently hold: tourist visa copy, arrival stamp, or residence cancellation paper.
- A reachable UAE number and address so we can share pick up instructions.
Depending on nationality, a six month bank statement may be requested. If that applies to Honduras applicants, a UAE resident family member can provide theirs instead. The Oman visa is arranged by our team through the eVisa system before you travel. Keep your passport and a card or cash on hand; immigration sometimes asks re entering visitors to show they can support their stay.

Bus visa change step by step for Honduras travellers
Before travel
Once your documents are verified and payment is received, we apply for your Oman eVisa, reserve your seat on the coach and confirm the pick up point and departure time on WhatsApp. Pay any overstay fine via the GDRFA or ICP app in advance.
Leaving the UAE
Departure is in the morning from the agreed pick up point in Dubai. Your exit stamp ends the current visa; as soon as it appears in the system we lodge the fresh tourist visa. You clear Omani immigration on the prearranged eVisa.
The approval window
The new UAE visa is normally approved within a few hours, and we send the PDF to your WhatsApp as soon as it arrives. A small number of applications go to security check, which can add 24 to 48 hours. In that case the optional overnight stay covers you, and we keep you updated throughout. Immigration makes the final call on every application.
The return leg
Once the PDF is in hand, you take the coach back and show the new visa alongside your Honduras passport at UAE immigration. The new 60 day visa is activated at entry and starts counting from that day. The trip ends in Dubai the same evening unless you added the overnight stay.
Bus versus airport versus extension
Before travelling anywhere, check whether you qualify for the AED 1,200 in country extension, which adds 30 days without leaving. Once extension is no longer possible, the Bus visa change from AED 1,000 is the cheapest way to receive a new 60 day visa, at the cost of a full day and Sunday to Wednesday departures only. The airport to airport visa change costs AED 1,550, flies any day of the week, and returns you to Dubai within six to twelve hours; it suits families, older travellers and anyone who cannot take a full day off.
Mistakes to avoid on a Bus visa change
- Waiting until the final days. Sunday to Wednesday departures leave little room for error, so book a week or more ahead.
- Passport validity under six months. Renew before you travel, as neither Oman nor UAE immigration will accept a short validity passport.
- Unpaid overstay fines. Immigration will not let you exit with fines outstanding, so check and pay through the GDRFA or ICP app before travel day.
- Counting on grace days. Visit visas have no grace period, so act before the printed expiry date.
- Undisclosed history. Prior overstays, bans or uncancelled visas can lead to refusal, so share them with us upfront.
- Leaving the passport behind. It must be with you on the coach.
Honduras passport Bus visa change FAQ
How long will I be away from Dubai?
One day is normal. In rare cases a security check pushes approval to 24 to 48 hours, and we arrange the stay in Oman.
How much is the bus package?
AED 1,000 or AED 1,300 depending on your current visa, all in. The price covers transport both ways, the Oman visa, the new UAE visa and border charges. We confirm any deposit for Honduras citizens before booking.
What is the schedule?
Departures are Sunday through Wednesday. No coaches run Thursday to Saturday, so plan ahead and book 7 to 10 days in advance.
Is an Oman visa required?
Yes. The Oman eVisa is arranged by us ahead of time and its cost is already in the AED 1,000 or AED 1,300.
Can I do a Bus visa change on a cancelled residence visa?
Yes, and it is the situation we see most often. Cancelled residents pay AED 1,000 and receive a 60 day tourist visa.
Is there a limit on repeat visa changes?
There is no fixed limit, but every application is assessed on its own and repeated back to back changes attract closer scrutiny. Most of our clients do one or two before moving to a residence visa or leaving the UAE.
What if immigration declines the application?
Refusals are rare. If immigration declines, you cannot re enter the UAE on the return coach and would need to travel onward from Oman. Visa processing fees are not refundable because they cover government costs, which is why we assess risk factors such as previous overstays or bans before you pay.
Are visa changes by road allowed?
Yes, completely. It follows standard immigration procedure, and a licensed agency such as ours submits the application through the proper system.
