When a Hungary citizen can no longer extend a UAE visit visa, a Bus visa change to Oman offers the cheapest legal exit and re entry. White Sky Travel bundles the coach both ways, the Oman visa, the UAE visa application and the border fees into a single price from AED 1,000. This page explains who qualifies, what a Hungary passport holder pays, which days the service runs, what to bring, and how the day unfolds at the border.
Short version: from AED 1,000 all in for a Hungary passport, Sunday to Wednesday departures, one day round trip to the Oman border, new 60 day UAE tourist visa issued before you return.
Planning to extend your stay in the UAE?
Check our visa renewal by bus service, including the UAE visa, border fees, Oman visa, two way bus fare, and accommodation until your visa is approved. Monthly payment is available with Tabby, Tamara, and UAE credit cards up to 12 months.
How a UAE Bus visa change works
A Bus visa change is an exit and re entry by road. Immigration only links a new visa to a Hungary passport once the holder has left the UAE, which is why the trip to Oman is essential. You board a coach in Dubai, cross into Oman, wait while the new UAE visa is approved, and return through the same border with the new visa on your passport. Expect roughly one day door to door, plus an optional night in Oman if the visa is not ready before the last coach.
The faster alternative is the airport to airport visa change, which flies you to Muscat, Kuwait or Doha and back within hours for AED 1,550. The Bus visa change costs less and suits Hungary visitors who can spare a day and want the cheapest package.
Who qualifies
The Bus visa change to Oman is available for selected nationalities, and eligibility depends on both your passport and the visa you currently hold. Message a scan of your Hungary passport and existing visa to our WhatsApp and we confirm eligibility for the bus, the flight, or an extension without exit. The route is popular with:
- Tourist visa holders who have used all their in country extensions. A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, each by 30 days, up to a total stay of 120 days; after that, an exit is required.
- Cancelled residence visa holders who want to stay on as visitors while they find a new job or wrap up their affairs.
- Visa on arrival holders whose stamp cannot be extended in country and who need a fresh visa to stay longer.
Do not wait until the last day
Every day past expiry costs AED 50 in fines, whichever emirate issued the visa and whichever visa type you hold. There is no grace period on tourist and visit visas, so the fine starts the day after expiry. Fines are paid before the trip. Passengers with unpaid overstay charges are stopped at the exit counter. The coach operates Sunday to Wednesday, so book at least 7 to 10 days before your visa runs out.

What the Bus visa change package costs
We charge according to the visa you are on today; nationality can add a refundable deposit or surcharge in a few cases.
- Cancelled residence visa or visa on arrival holders: AED 1,000
- Existing tourist visa: AED 1,300
Both packages include the round trip coach from Dubai, the Oman entry visa, processing of the new UAE tourist visa and all border fees. We issue a 60 day single entry visa as standard. A 30 day version is sometimes available, so ask us when you book. A one day stay in Oman is available as an add on. Overstay fines, if any, are paid by the traveller to immigration before departure and are not part of the package.
Certain passports may be asked for a refundable security deposit. This is not part of the package fee, it is returned once you leave the UAE, and we tell Hungary travellers the exact figure on WhatsApp in advance.
Payment plans for UAE residents
UAE residents booking a Bus visa change for a family member or friend from Hungary can spread the cost using Tabby with up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable terms, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month plans depending on the issuing bank. Applicants who are not UAE residents pay through a secure online link.
Paperwork for a Bus visa change
Share these items on WhatsApp and we will confirm whether we can proceed, typically within the hour:
- A clear scan of your Hungary passport, both the data page and the back cover, with at least six months validity. Missing back covers cause most resubmissions.
- A recent colour photograph, white background, passport dimensions, no glasses.
- Your current visa copy, either the tourist visa you hold, your visa on arrival stamp, or the residence cancellation paper.
- Your UAE contact number and the address where you are staying, so we can confirm the pick up point and time.
Some nationalities may be asked for a six month bank statement, and where that applies to a Hungary passport a UAE based family member’s statement can be submitted on your behalf. We handle the Oman eVisa application ahead of time; nothing is needed from you at the Omani side. Bring your original passport and a bank card or cash, as immigration can request proof of funds when you re enter.

How the trip unfolds for a Hungary passport holder
Seven to ten days ahead
With documents approved and payment cleared, the Oman visa is applied for, the seat is booked and you receive pick up instructions on WhatsApp. Any overstay fine should be paid in the GDRFA or ICP app before you travel.
The outbound leg
The coach departs Dubai in the morning and travels to the UAE Oman land border. Immigration records your exit at the UAE side, closing the old visa, and we file the new visa application immediately after. You cross into Oman using the eVisa we applied for.
Waiting in Oman
The new UAE visa is normally approved within a few hours, and we send the PDF to your WhatsApp as soon as it arrives. Occasionally immigration orders a security check, extending the wait to 24 to 48 hours. The one day stay option exists for exactly this situation. Approval is always at the discretion of UAE immigration.
Back into the UAE
Once the PDF is in hand, you take the coach back and show the new visa alongside your Hungary passport at UAE immigration. Validity runs for 60 days from your re entry date. You are back in Dubai that evening, or the following day with the one day stay.
Bus visa change compared with other options
An in country extension at AED 1,200 for 30 days is the simplest route if you are still eligible. After extensions run out, the bus is the most affordable route to a fresh 60 day visa, with the trade off of a longer day and a limited departure schedule. The airport to airport visa change costs AED 1,550, flies any day of the week, and returns you to Dubai within six to twelve hours; it suits families, older travellers and anyone who cannot take a full day off.
Common problems for Hungary applicants and how we prevent them
- Booking too late. The coach runs Sunday to Wednesday only and seats fill quickly around Eid, December and January, so message us 7 to 10 days ahead.
- Less than six months on the passport. Both borders refuse entry in that case, so renew first.
- Fines left unpaid. Settle everything online before departure to avoid being held at the border.
- Assuming a grace period. There is none, so a visa expiring on the 10th must be extended or exited by the 10th.
- Previous immigration issues. Old bans, unresolved cases or improperly cancelled visas can affect approval, so tell us about them before you pay.
- Forgetting the original passport. Photocopies are not accepted at either border; the physical Hungary passport must travel with you.
Questions Hungary travellers ask us
How long does a Bus visa change to Oman take for a Hungary passport?
Roughly one day door to door. A security check can extend approval to 24 to 48 hours, in which case the overnight option in Oman applies.
How much does a Bus visa change to Oman cost for Hungary citizens?
AED 1,000 for cancelled residence or visa on arrival holders and AED 1,300 for tourist visa holders. Both include the round trip coach, the Oman visa, the new UAE tourist visa and all border fees. A refundable deposit or surcharge may apply for some nationalities, which we confirm for Hungary passports on WhatsApp.
What is the schedule?
Midweek only: Sunday to Wednesday. Book 7 to 10 days ahead to secure a seat before your visa runs out.
What about entry into Oman?
Yes. The Oman eVisa is arranged by us ahead of time and its cost is already in the AED 1,000 or AED 1,300.
My residency was cancelled. Can I take the bus?
Absolutely. Cancelled residents from Hungary use the bus route at AED 1,000 and return on a 60 day tourist visa.
Can I do this more than once?
No official cap exists, though immigration reviews each case separately and frequent repeats draw more attention. Most Hungary visitors do one or two before obtaining residency or departing.
What if my visa is not approved while I am in Oman?
Rejection is uncommon. Should it happen, you would need to fly on from Oman to your home country or another destination, and the visa fee is not refundable as it is a government charge. We flag risks before booking.
Is it lawful to do this?
It is fully legal. The visa is issued by the UAE authorities in the normal way; the only difference is that you are outside the country at the time.
