Visa extension without exit for Azerbaijan passport holders

If you hold a Azerbaijan passport and your UAE visit visa is running out, a Visa extension lets you stay another 30 days without leaving the country. At White Sky Travel a 30 day extension is AED 1,200, processed in around two to three working days, with every step on WhatsApp. Read on for the rules that apply to Azerbaijan passports: cost, number of extensions, timing, documents and the exit routes once the maximum is reached.

Quick answer: a Visa extension for a Azerbaijan passport costs AED 1,200 per 30 days and is processed inside the UAE in two to three working days. A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, up to a total stay of 120 days. Apply at least five to seven days before expiry, and note that the extension must be processed by the agency that issued the original visa.

Visa extension explained for Azerbaijan travellers

A Visa extension is an extension of the current permit; the visa number stays the same and the expiry date moves forward by 30 days. The request goes to immigration under the account that issued the visa, and approval extends the expiry date linked to your Azerbaijan passport. Nothing physical happens on your side; you continue your visit and we send the approved extension on WhatsApp.

The exit routes, airport to airport and bus to Oman, issue a brand new visa after you leave; an extension does not require leaving at all. For Azerbaijan visitors who still qualify, the extension is the cheapest and least disruptive option, and it is the one we recommend first.

Is a Visa extension available for Azerbaijan citizens?

Whether you qualify comes down to your current visa, your extension history and who issued the original visa. Send us a copy of your current visa on WhatsApp and we will confirm within the hour whether a Azerbaijan passport can be extended, or whether an exit route is the better option.

  • Tourist visa holders with extensions remaining: up to three on a 30 day visa and up to two on a 60 day visa.
  • Visitors who have not reached 120 days in the UAE on the current visa.
  • Visitors whose visa we issued. Immigration processes extensions through the original issuer’s account, so another agency cannot extend a visa we did not issue, and we cannot extend a visa issued elsewhere.

Where another agency issued the visa, either contact them for the extension or book an exit route with us: airport to airport at AED 1,550 or the Oman bus from AED 1,000, both of which issue a new 60 day visa whatever the original source. On arrival stamps and residence visas fall outside this service.

Azerbaijan passport Visa extension price

A 30 day extension is AED 1,200 for all passports, Azerbaijan included; there is no nationality based pricing on extensions.

  • A single 30 day block: AED 1,200
  • 2 month extension: AED 2,400, issued as two separate 30 day approvals

The AED 1,200 includes the immigration fee and our service. It cannot be refunded on refusal, since the government charge is paid when the application is lodged. Overstay fines, if any, are paid by the traveller to immigration and are not part of the extension fee. If you only need a month, extend; if you need two months and have run out of extensions, a new visa by air or bus is the better route for a Azerbaijan passport.

Instalment plans for UAE residents

If you live in the UAE and are sponsoring a relative or friend holding a Azerbaijan passport, the extension fee can be paid through Tabby over up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card in 3, 6, 9 or 12 monthly instalments subject to your bank. Everyone else is sent a secure payment link online. We extend spouses and children together and apply one instalment plan to the combined fee.

Paperwork for a Visa extension

Since immigration already has your file from the original visa, an extension needs only a few items. WhatsApp us:

  1. A clear copy of your Azerbaijan passport, valid for at least six months.
  2. A white background colour photo in passport format, without eyewear.
  3. The current visa copy, which we use to check the expiry date and remaining extensions.

No bank statement, hotel booking or return ticket is required for the extension itself. In rare cases immigration asks for something extra; if so, we let Azerbaijan applicants know straight away.

The application process step by step

  1. Send your documents on WhatsApp to +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 at least five to seven days before your visa expires. We check the expiry date and extension count and confirm eligibility the same day.
  2. Pay through the secure link or instalment plan we send. Submission to immigration starts only after payment is received.
  3. We lodge the application and track it. Approval for Azerbaijan passports usually takes two to three working days; immigration can sometimes extend this.
  4. We forward the extension PDF on WhatsApp; the new expiry date is on it, so keep it handy.

Timing your Visa extension

Immigration will not extend a visa that has already lapsed, so the request has to be in before the expiry date. Allow five to seven days: two to three working days for processing, plus a buffer for weekends and holidays. For consecutive extensions, submit each new request a few days before the previous extension expires and track your cumulative stay against the 120 day limit.

What happens if you miss the deadline

Once a visit visa expires, no extra days are granted. The overstay fine is AED 50 per day, applied uniformly across every emirate and visa category, from the first day past expiry. After 30 days of overstay, an exit permit costing about AED 250 to 300 becomes necessary as well. An expired visa means a visa change rather than an extension: pay the fine, then exit by air or bus with us and return on a new visa.

Options for Azerbaijan visitors after 120 days

When the extensions are exhausted and 120 days are up, leaving the country is required. The choices are an airport to airport change (AED 1,550, same day, flydubai), the Oman bus route (from AED 1,000, about a day), going home and applying afresh, or moving to a residence visa where a sponsor exists. Air or bus, the result is a new 60 day visa, and we book either for Azerbaijan travellers on WhatsApp.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Applying too late. Extensions cannot be filed after expiry, so contact us five to seven days ahead.
  • Approaching a different agency. The same agency rule means we can only extend visas we issued; for others, use an exit route.
  • Losing track of cumulative days. The 120 day cap runs from first entry, including every extension.
  • Passport validity under six months. Immigration will not extend a visa on a passport close to expiry.
  • Trying to extend a visa on arrival or a residence visa. This service covers agency issued visit visas only; other permits need a different route.

Frequently asked questions about Visa extension for Azerbaijan passport

Can Azerbaijan passport holders extend in country?

You can. Azerbaijan passport holders on an agency issued 30 or 60 day visa extend in country as long as extensions remain, the 120 day limit is respected, and the issuing agency files the request.

How much does a Visa extension cost for Azerbaijan citizens?

The extension fee is AED 1,200 for 30 days and AED 2,400 for 60 days (two back to back extensions), identical for all passports including Azerbaijan.

How long does a Visa extension take?

Typically two to three working days, excluding weekends and public holidays. Immigration can take longer in some cases, which is why a five to seven day lead time is recommended.

How many times can a Azerbaijan citizen extend a UAE tourist visa?

Three extensions on a 30 day visa, two on a 60 day visa, 30 days each. Total stay cannot exceed 120 days from the original entry.

Who can process my extension?

Extensions go through the issuer’s account, so a visa from another agency must be extended by them. Alternatively, we arrange an airport to airport change or the Oman bus, neither of which depends on who issued the first visa.

Is there a grace period after my visa expires?

No. UAE visit and tourist visas have no grace period. A fine of AED 50 per day applies from the day after expiry, and overstays beyond 30 days also require an exit permit of about AED 250 to 300.

What about family members on Azerbaijan passports?

Certainly. We extend the whole family at once, and residents sponsoring Azerbaijan relatives can pay the combined AED 1,200 per person on an instalment plan.

Is the fee refundable on rejection?

Very few eligible extensions are refused. If yours is, the government fee cannot be refunded and you would exit via air or bus before the current visa runs out.
