When a China citizen wants more time in the UAE, a Visa extension adds 30 days to the current visit visa from inside the country. Each 30 day extension costs AED 1,200, takes two to three working days in most cases, and is managed entirely through WhatsApp with our team. This page explains who qualifies, what a China passport holder pays, how many times you can extend, the deadline to apply, and what happens once you reach the 120 day limit.
In short: China passport holders pay AED 1,200 for each 30 day Visa extension, approved in two to three working days without leaving the country. Three extensions on a 30 day visa, two on a 60 day visa, 120 days maximum. Apply five to seven days before expiry through the agency that issued your visa.
Planning your Dubai trip? Let White Sky handle it.
We book your attraction tickets, tours, hotels and flights — and you can pay later with Tabby, Tamara or UAE credit-card monthly instalments. Need a UAE tourist visa too? We do that in-house.
Visa extension explained for China travellers
A Visa extension without exit is an extension of your existing visit visa, not a new visa. The request goes to immigration under the account that issued the visa, and approval extends the expiry date linked to your China passport. You do not leave the country at any point; the approval arrives on WhatsApp while you carry on with your stay.
This is different from an airport to airport visa change or a visa change by bus to Oman, both of which involve leaving the UAE and returning on a completely new tourist visa. If a China passport holder is still eligible, the extension is cheaper and simpler than any exit route, so it is always our first suggestion.
Is a Visa extension available for China citizens?
Eligibility for a Visa extension depends on three things: the visa you hold, how many extensions you have already used, and which agency issued the visa. Send us a copy of your current visa on WhatsApp and we will confirm within the hour whether a China passport can be extended, or whether an exit route is the better option.
- Visitors on an agency issued 30 or 60 day visit visa who have not yet reached the extension limit.
- Applicants whose total stay, including the new extension, will not exceed 120 days from the original entry date.
- Applicants whose original visa was issued by White Sky Travel. In country extensions can only be processed by the agency that issued the visa, because immigration handles the request through the issuer’s account.
If your visa was issued by a different agency, you have two choices: ask that agency to extend it, or use an exit route with us. An airport to airport visa change costs AED 1,550 and a visa change by bus to Oman starts from AED 1,000, and both give you a fresh 60 day visa regardless of who issued the first one. Visas issued on arrival and residence visas cannot be extended through this service.

China passport Visa extension price
Each 30 day extension costs AED 1,200, and unlike a new visa the fee does not change by nationality, so China passports pay the standard rate.
- 1 month extension inside the UAE: AED 1,200
- 2 month extension: AED 2,400, issued as two separate 30 day approvals
This price includes the immigration fee and our handling. On rejection the fee is retained by immigration and cannot be returned. Fines for overstaying are paid directly to immigration and sit outside the extension price. For 30 extra days the extension is cheaper and simpler than any exit route; for a full 60 days with no extensions remaining, the airport to airport change or the bus route becomes the better buy for China travellers.
Pay in monthly instalments
If you live in the UAE and are sponsoring a relative or friend holding a China passport, the extension fee can be paid through Tabby over up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card in 3, 6, 9 or 12 monthly instalments subject to your bank. All other applicants receive a secure online payment link. We extend spouses and children together and apply one instalment plan to the combined fee.
Visa extension requirements for China passport holders
The document list for an extension is short, because immigration already holds your details from the original visa. Send these on WhatsApp:
- A scan of the passport, valid for a minimum of six months.
- One colour passport photo on a plain white background.
- Your present visa, needed to confirm eligibility and the dates.
Bank statements, hotel confirmations and return tickets are not part of the extension application. Immigration can request further documents at its discretion, and we pass any such request on to China travellers without delay.
How China citizens apply
- WhatsApp your documents to +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 a week before expiry. We verify the dates and confirm whether a China passport can be extended.
- Pay through the secure link or instalment plan we send. Submission to immigration starts only after payment is received.
- We lodge the application and track it. Approval for China passports usually takes two to three working days; immigration can sometimes extend this.
- Once approved, we send the extension PDF on WhatsApp. It shows the new expiry date and should travel with your passport.
Timing your Visa extension
Immigration will not extend a visa that has already lapsed, so the request has to be in before the expiry date. Because approval takes two to three working days and government offices close at weekends and on public holidays, China passport holders should message us five to seven days before expiry. If you plan to extend more than once, apply for the next extension a few days before the current one ends, and keep an eye on the 120 day total.
What happens if you miss the deadline
UAE visit and tourist visas have no grace period after expiry. A fine of AED 50 applies for every day of overstay, the same flat rate across all visa types and emirates, and it starts the day after expiry. Overstays beyond 30 days additionally require an exit permit of roughly AED 250 to 300. If your visa has already expired, extension is off the table; the practical route is to pay the fine and exit through an airport to airport change or the bus to Oman, and we can arrange either.

When extension is no longer possible
When the extensions are exhausted and 120 days are up, leaving the country is required. Four options follow: airport to airport at AED 1,550 and back the same day, the bus to Oman from AED 1,000 taking roughly a day, a return home before a new visa, or a residence visa through an employer or family member. Both exit routes issue a new 60 day tourist visa regardless of which agency issued the original, and we arrange either on WhatsApp.
How to keep your application on track
- Leaving it to the last day. An expired visa cannot be extended, so allow a week.
- Expecting a third party to extend a visa it did not issue, which the system does not allow.
- Miscounting the 120 days. Total stay is counted from the original entry date, not from the last extension, so keep a running tally.
- Less than six months on the passport, which blocks the extension.
- Confusing residency or arrival stamps with agency visit visas, which are the only ones we can extend.
Questions China travellers ask us
Is extension without exit possible for China citizens?
You can. China passport holders on an agency issued 30 or 60 day visa extend in country as long as extensions remain, the 120 day limit is respected, and the issuing agency files the request.
What is the 1 month visa extension price in Dubai?
AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, the same for every nationality including China. A two month extension is AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions.
How many days until approval?
Typically two to three working days, excluding weekends and public holidays. Immigration can take longer in some cases, which is why a five to seven day lead time is recommended.
How many extensions are allowed?
A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, each by 30 days. The maximum continuous stay on any UAE tourist visa is 120 days, after which exit is mandatory.
Does the same agency rule apply to China passports?
Only the issuing agency can extend a visa in country; that is how the immigration system works, not an agency policy. For visas issued elsewhere, ask that agency, or book an exit route with us (airport to airport AED 1,550, bus from AED 1,000) for a fresh 60 day visa.
Can I stay a few days after expiry?
None. The AED 50 daily fine starts the day after the visa expires, with an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 added after 30 days of overstay.
Is there a family extension option?
Certainly. We extend the whole family at once, and residents sponsoring China relatives can pay the combined AED 1,200 per person on an instalment plan.
Is the fee refundable on rejection?
Very few eligible extensions are refused. If yours is, the government fee cannot be refunded and you would exit via air or bus before the current visa runs out.
