When a Colombia citizen wants more time in the UAE, a Visa extension adds 30 days to the current visit visa from inside the country. Each 30 day extension costs AED 1,200, takes two to three working days in most cases, and is managed entirely through WhatsApp with our team. Here is everything a Colombia traveller needs to know before applying: fees, limits, deadlines, paperwork and the alternatives when extension is no longer possible.
In short: Colombia passport holders pay AED 1,200 for each 30 day Visa extension, approved in two to three working days without leaving the country. Three extensions on a 30 day visa, two on a 60 day visa, 120 days maximum. Apply five to seven days before expiry through the agency that issued your visa.
Planning your Dubai trip? Let White Sky handle it.
We book your attraction tickets, tours, hotels and flights — and you can pay later with Tabby, Tamara or UAE credit-card monthly instalments. Need a UAE tourist visa too? We do that in-house.
What is a Visa extension without exit?
An in country Visa extension extends the visa you already hold rather than issuing a fresh one. The request goes to immigration under the account that issued the visa, and approval extends the expiry date linked to your Colombia passport. You do not leave the country at any point; the approval arrives on WhatsApp while you carry on with your stay.
Visa change by air or by bus means exiting and re entering on a new visa; a Visa extension avoids the exit altogether. If a Colombia passport holder is still eligible, the extension is cheaper and simpler than any exit route, so it is always our first suggestion.
Who qualifies
Eligibility for a Visa extension depends on three things: the visa you hold, how many extensions you have already used, and which agency issued the visa. WhatsApp us your visa copy and we will tell you straight away if an extension is possible for a Colombia passport or if you need a visa change instead.
- Visit and tourist visa holders on a 30 day or 60 day visa issued through a travel agency. A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, each by 30 days.
- Travellers who will remain within the 120 day ceiling after the extension is added.
- Visitors whose visa we issued. Immigration processes extensions through the original issuer’s account, so another agency cannot extend a visa we did not issue, and we cannot extend a visa issued elsewhere.
Where another agency issued the visa, either contact them for the extension or book an exit route with us: airport to airport at AED 1,550 or the Oman bus from AED 1,000, both of which issue a new 60 day visa whatever the original source. Arrival stamps and residency visas are not extendable through an agency.

Visa extension fees for Colombia passport holders
We charge AED 1,200 for every 30 day extension regardless of nationality, so Colombia citizens pay exactly this figure.
- A single 30 day block: AED 1,200
- Two month visa extension: AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions
This price includes the immigration fee and our handling. On rejection the fee is retained by immigration and cannot be returned. If a fine has accrued, it is paid to immigration in addition to the extension fee. For 30 extra days the extension is cheaper and simpler than any exit route; for a full 60 days with no extensions remaining, the airport to airport change or the bus route becomes the better buy for Colombia travellers.
Pay in monthly instalments
If you live in the UAE and are sponsoring a relative or friend holding a Colombia passport, the extension fee can be paid through Tabby over up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card in 3, 6, 9 or 12 monthly instalments subject to your bank. Applicants who are not UAE residents pay through a secure online link. We extend spouses and children together and apply one instalment plan to the combined fee.
Visa extension requirements for Colombia passport holders
Since immigration already has your file from the original visa, an extension needs only a few items. WhatsApp us:
- Passport copy showing at least six months validity.
- A recent colour photograph, white background, passport dimensions, no glasses.
- The current visa copy, which we use to check the expiry date and remaining extensions.
No bank statement, hotel booking or return ticket is required for the extension itself. Immigration may occasionally request an additional document on a case by case basis, and we will tell you immediately if that happens for a Colombia passport.
The application process step by step
- Send your documents on WhatsApp to +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 at least five to seven days before your visa expires. We check the expiry date and extension count and confirm eligibility the same day.
- Complete payment through the link or instalment option we provide. We file the extension once payment clears.
- The extension is filed and monitored by our team. Expect two to three working days for most Colombia applicants, subject to immigration’s discretion.
- The approved extension arrives as a PDF on WhatsApp with the updated expiry. Store it alongside your passport.
The five to seven day rule for Colombia visitors
The extension must be submitted before the current visa expires; an expired visa cannot be extended. With two to three working days of processing and no weekend service, a five to seven day lead time protects Colombia visitors from missing the deadline. When chaining extensions, start each one a few days early and count your total days from the original entry.
What happens if you miss the deadline
Visitors do not receive any grace days after the expiry date. Every day beyond expiry costs AED 50, whichever emirate issued the visa, starting immediately. If the overstay passes 30 days, an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 is required on top of the fines. Once expired, the visa cannot be extended. You settle the fine and use an exit route, airport to airport or bus, which we organise for Colombia travellers.

Options for Colombia visitors after 120 days
Once a Colombia visitor has used every extension and reached 120 days, exit is mandatory. You can fly out and back the same day for AED 1,550, take the Oman bus from AED 1,000, return to Colombia and reapply, or switch to residency if you have a sponsor. Air or bus, the result is a new 60 day visa, and we book either for Colombia travellers on WhatsApp.
Why extensions get refused or delayed
- Applying too late. Extensions cannot be filed after expiry, so contact us five to seven days ahead.
- Not knowing who issued the visa. Ask the person who arranged it, since the extension has to go through that agency.
- Miscounting the 120 days. Total stay is counted from the original entry date, not from the last extension, so keep a running tally.
- Passport validity under six months. Immigration will not extend a visa on a passport close to expiry.
- Expecting an on arrival stamp to be extendable. It is not; a visa change is required instead.
Colombia passport Visa extension FAQ
Do I have to leave the UAE to extend?
You can. Colombia passport holders on an agency issued 30 or 60 day visa extend in country as long as extensions remain, the 120 day limit is respected, and the issuing agency files the request.
How much is a 2 month extension?
AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, the same for every nationality including Colombia. A two month extension is AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions.
How many days until approval?
Most extensions are approved within two to three working days. Weekends and public holidays are not counted, and immigration may occasionally take longer, so apply five to seven days before expiry.
How many extensions are allowed?
Three extensions on a 30 day visa, two on a 60 day visa, 30 days each. Total stay cannot exceed 120 days from the original entry.
Can I extend a visa issued by another agency?
No. In country extensions can only be processed by the agency that issued the original visa, because immigration handles the request through the issuer’s account. If another agency issued your visa, contact them, or use an exit route with us: an airport to airport change at AED 1,550 or the bus to Oman from AED 1,000, both giving a new 60 day visa.
How many days can I stay after the visa ends?
There is no grace period. Fines of AED 50 per day begin immediately after expiry, and an exit permit costing roughly AED 250 to 300 is needed if the overstay exceeds 30 days.
What about family members on Colombia passports?
Yes. Family extensions are handled as one application, and the total fee is eligible for instalments when a UAE resident books on the family’s behalf.
What happens if it is not approved?
Immigration can decline at its discretion, though it seldom does for eligible Colombia applicants. The fee is not returned on refusal, and an exit route becomes necessary before expiry.
