Visa extension for Comoros citizens without leaving the UAE

For travellers from Comoros, the Visa extension is the simplest way to stay longer: no airport, no bus, just a 30 day extension processed while you remain in the UAE. We process the extension for AED 1,200 per 30 day block, usually within two to three working days, and the whole application runs on WhatsApp. Here is everything a Comoros traveller needs to know before applying: fees, limits, deadlines, paperwork and the alternatives when extension is no longer possible.

Short version: AED 1,200 per 30 days, processed in country in two to three working days for Comoros passports, up to 120 days total. Apply a week before expiry via the agency that issued the original visa.

How an in country UAE visa extension works

Unlike a visa change, a Visa extension keeps your existing visa and simply adds 30 days to it. We file the extension through the issuing account, and immigration updates the expiry date on your Comoros passport record. You do not leave the country at any point; the approval arrives on WhatsApp while you carry on with your stay.

It should not be confused with the airport to airport change or the Oman bus route, which reset you on a new visa after an exit. If a Comoros passport holder is still eligible, the extension is cheaper and simpler than any exit route, so it is always our first suggestion.

Who qualifies

Eligibility for a Visa extension depends on three things: the visa you hold, how many extensions you have already used, and which agency issued the visa. Send us a copy of your current visa on WhatsApp and we will confirm within the hour whether a Comoros passport can be extended, or whether an exit route is the better option.

  • Tourist visa holders with extensions remaining: up to three on a 30 day visa and up to two on a 60 day visa.
  • Travellers who will remain within the 120 day ceiling after the extension is added.
  • Those whose visa came from White Sky Travel, since extensions run through the issuing account under immigration rules.

If your visa was issued by a different agency, you have two choices: ask that agency to extend it, or use an exit route with us. An airport to airport visa change costs AED 1,550 and a visa change by bus to Oman starts from AED 1,000, and both give you a fresh 60 day visa regardless of who issued the first one. On arrival stamps and residence visas fall outside this service.

UAE visit visa extension charges for Comoros citizens

Each 30 day extension costs AED 1,200, and unlike a new visa the fee does not change by nationality, so Comoros passports pay the standard rate.

  • 1 month extension inside the UAE: AED 1,200
  • 60 day extension: AED 2,400 (two 30 day extensions back to back)

The fee covers the government charge and our processing, and it is not refundable if immigration declines the extension, because the government fee is paid at submission. Any overstay fine is settled separately with immigration and is not included in the AED 1,200. For 30 extra days the extension is cheaper and simpler than any exit route; for a full 60 days with no extensions remaining, the airport to airport change or the bus route becomes the better buy for Comoros travellers.

Payment options

Residents of the UAE booking for Comoros visitors can use Tabby for up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable repayment, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month terms set by the card issuer. Everyone else is sent a secure payment link online. Family extensions are handled together, and the combined total can be split the same way.

What Comoros citizens need to send us

Because your record already exists with immigration, we only need the following on WhatsApp:

  1. Passport copy showing at least six months validity.
  2. A recent colour photograph, white background, passport dimensions, no glasses.
  3. The current visa copy, which we use to check the expiry date and remaining extensions.

The extension does not call for a bank statement, accommodation proof or a return ticket. Immigration may occasionally request an additional document on a case by case basis, and we will tell you immediately if that happens for a Comoros passport.

How Comoros citizens apply

  1. Share your documents with us on WhatsApp at +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 with at least five to seven days remaining, and we confirm the same day.
  2. Settle the AED 1,200 by secure link or instalments. The application goes to immigration after payment.
  3. We file with immigration and follow up. Typical turnaround for Comoros citizens is two to three working days.
  4. The approved extension arrives as a PDF on WhatsApp with the updated expiry. Store it alongside your passport.

When to apply and why the deadline matters

An extension is only possible on a live visa, which is why the expiry date is the hard deadline. We ask Comoros travellers to contact us five to seven days ahead, because processing takes two to three working days and weekends and public holidays do not count. Back to back extensions should each be filed a few days before the running expiry, always within the 120 day cap.

Overstay rules in 2026

There is no grace period on a UAE visit visa. The overstay fine is AED 50 per day, applied uniformly across every emirate and visa category, from the first day past expiry. Anyone who overstays by more than 30 days also needs an exit permit, typically AED 250 to 300, before leaving. If your visa has already expired, extension is off the table; the practical route is to pay the fine and exit through an airport to airport change or the bus to Oman, and we can arrange either.

What to do after the maximum extensions

At 120 days total, Comoros passport holders must leave the UAE. From there you have four routes: an airport to airport visa change at AED 1,550 with a same day return by flydubai, a visa change by bus to Oman from AED 1,000 over about one day, returning home and applying for a fresh visa later, or converting to a residence visa if an employer or family sponsor is available. Either exit route resets you on a new 60 day visa, and the same agency rule does not apply to them.

Common problems for Comoros applicants and how we prevent them

  • Waiting until expiry day, which leaves no room for processing time.
  • Assuming any agency can extend. Only the issuer can, because immigration routes the request through the issuing account. Check who issued your visa before you plan.
  • Forgetting that extensions add to the original stay rather than replacing it.
  • Passport validity under six months. Immigration will not extend a visa on a passport close to expiry.
  • Expecting an on arrival stamp to be extendable. It is not; a visa change is required instead.

Comoros passport Visa extension FAQ

Do I have to leave the UAE to extend?

You can. Comoros passport holders on an agency issued 30 or 60 day visa extend in country as long as extensions remain, the 120 day limit is respected, and the issuing agency files the request.

What is the 1 month visa extension price in Dubai?

AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, the same for every nationality including Comoros. A two month extension is AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions.

How many days until approval?

Typically two to three working days, excluding weekends and public holidays. Immigration can take longer in some cases, which is why a five to seven day lead time is recommended.

How many times can a Comoros citizen extend a UAE tourist visa?

A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, each by 30 days. The maximum continuous stay on any UAE tourist visa is 120 days, after which exit is mandatory.

Does the same agency rule apply to Comoros passports?

The same agency rule applies to every nationality, Comoros included. If we did not issue the visa, we cannot extend it, but we can reset you on a new 60 day visa by air (AED 1,550) or bus (from AED 1,000).

How many days can I stay after the visa ends?

No grace days exist. Overstaying costs AED 50 per day from day one, plus an exit permit of approximately AED 250 to 300 once the overstay passes 30 days.

Is there a family extension option?

Yes. Each family member pays AED 1,200 per extension, we file them together, and the total can be spread over instalments for UAE resident sponsors.

What if my extension is refused?

Very few eligible extensions are refused. If yours is, the government fee cannot be refunded and you would exit via air or bus before the current visa runs out.
