Congo passport Visa extension: fees, rules and process

A Visa extension allows Congo passport holders to add 30 days to a UAE visit visa without exiting, flying anywhere or crossing a border. We process the extension for AED 1,200 per 30 day block, usually within two to three working days, and the whole application runs on WhatsApp. This page explains who qualifies, what a Congo passport holder pays, how many times you can extend, the deadline to apply, and what happens once you reach the 120 day limit.

Quick answer: a Visa extension for a Congo passport costs AED 1,200 per 30 days and is processed inside the UAE in two to three working days. A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, up to a total stay of 120 days. Apply at least five to seven days before expiry, and note that the extension must be processed by the agency that issued the original visa.

What is a Visa extension without exit?

An in country Visa extension extends the visa you already hold rather than issuing a fresh one. The request goes to immigration under the account that issued the visa, and approval extends the expiry date linked to your Congo passport. Nothing physical happens on your side; you continue your visit and we send the approved extension on WhatsApp.

The exit routes, airport to airport and bus to Oman, issue a brand new visa after you leave; an extension does not require leaving at all. Wherever a Congo citizen is still within the extension limits, this is the option we recommend before anything else.

Who from Congo can apply for a Visa extension?

Three factors decide whether a Congo passport holder can extend: the visa type, the number of extensions already taken, and the issuing agency. Send us a copy of your current visa on WhatsApp and we will confirm within the hour whether a Congo passport can be extended, or whether an exit route is the better option.

  • Tourist visa holders with extensions remaining: up to three on a 30 day visa and up to two on a 60 day visa.
  • Applicants whose total stay, including the new extension, will not exceed 120 days from the original entry date.
  • Those whose visa came from White Sky Travel, since extensions run through the issuing account under immigration rules.

If your visa was issued by a different agency, you have two choices: ask that agency to extend it, or use an exit route with us. An airport to airport visa change costs AED 1,550 and a visa change by bus to Oman starts from AED 1,000, and both give you a fresh 60 day visa regardless of who issued the first one. This service does not cover visa on arrival stamps or residence permits.

Visa extension fees for Congo passport holders

We charge AED 1,200 for every 30 day extension regardless of nationality, so Congo citizens pay exactly this figure.

  • 1 month extension inside the UAE: AED 1,200
  • 2 month extension: AED 2,400, issued as two separate 30 day approvals

The fee covers the government charge and our processing, and it is not refundable if immigration declines the extension, because the government fee is paid at submission. Overstay fines, if any, are paid by the traveller to immigration and are not part of the extension fee. A Congo visitor needing 30 days should extend; one needing 60 days after the limit should look at the exit routes.

Instalment plans for UAE residents

For UAE residents applying on behalf of Congo family or friends, the AED 1,200 can be spread with Tabby up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card over 3, 6, 9 or 12 months according to the bank. All other applicants receive a secure online payment link. We extend spouses and children together and apply one instalment plan to the combined fee.

Paperwork for a Visa extension

The document list for an extension is short, because immigration already holds your details from the original visa. Send these on WhatsApp:

  1. A scan of the passport, valid for a minimum of six months.
  2. A white background colour photo in passport format, without eyewear.
  3. Your existing visa PDF, which tells us the entry date, expiry and extension count.

You will not be asked for financial documents, a hotel booking or a ticket to extend. Immigration may occasionally request an additional document on a case by case basis, and we will tell you immediately if that happens for a Congo passport.

The application process step by step

  1. Share your documents with us on WhatsApp at +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 with at least five to seven days remaining, and we confirm the same day.
  2. Make the payment through the link we send. We submit as soon as it is confirmed.
  3. We lodge the application and track it. Approval for Congo passports usually takes two to three working days; immigration can sometimes extend this.
  4. You receive the approved extension as a PDF on WhatsApp showing the new expiry date. Keep it with your passport for the rest of your stay.

Timing your Visa extension

The extension must be submitted before the current visa expires; an expired visa cannot be extended. With two to three working days of processing and no weekend service, a five to seven day lead time protects Congo visitors from missing the deadline. When chaining extensions, start each one a few days early and count your total days from the original entry.

Overstay rules in 2026

Once a visit visa expires, no extra days are granted. Every day beyond expiry costs AED 50, whichever emirate issued the visa, starting immediately. Anyone who overstays by more than 30 days also needs an exit permit, typically AED 250 to 300, before leaving. If your visa has already expired, extension is off the table; the practical route is to pay the fine and exit through an airport to airport change or the bus to Oman, and we can arrange either.

What to do after the maximum extensions

Once a Congo visitor has used every extension and reached 120 days, exit is mandatory. The choices are an airport to airport change (AED 1,550, same day, flydubai), the Oman bus route (from AED 1,000, about a day), going home and applying afresh, or moving to a residence visa where a sponsor exists. Both exit routes issue a new 60 day tourist visa regardless of which agency issued the original, and we arrange either on WhatsApp.

Why extensions get refused or delayed

  • Missing the deadline. Once the visa lapses, only an exit route remains.
  • Expecting a third party to extend a visa it did not issue, which the system does not allow.
  • Miscounting the 120 days. Total stay is counted from the original entry date, not from the last extension, so keep a running tally.
  • Passport validity under six months. Immigration will not extend a visa on a passport close to expiry.
  • Confusing residency or arrival stamps with agency visit visas, which are the only ones we can extend.

Answers for Congo citizens

Do I have to leave the UAE to extend?

Yes. Agency issued 30 day and 60 day visit visas can be extended from inside the UAE without leaving, provided you still have extensions remaining, your total stay will not exceed 120 days, and the application goes through the agency that issued the visa.

What are the UAE visit visa extension fees?

One month costs AED 1,200 and two months cost AED 2,400, issued as two 30 day extensions. The fee does not vary by nationality, so Congo passports pay the standard rate.

When will I receive the extension?

Typically two to three working days, excluding weekends and public holidays. Immigration can take longer in some cases, which is why a five to seven day lead time is recommended.

What is the maximum stay?

A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, each by 30 days. The maximum continuous stay on any UAE tourist visa is 120 days, after which exit is mandatory.

What if my visa came from a different agency?

Only the issuing agency can extend a visa in country; that is how the immigration system works, not an agency policy. For visas issued elsewhere, ask that agency, or book an exit route with us (airport to airport AED 1,550, bus from AED 1,000) for a fresh 60 day visa.

When do fines start?

None. The AED 50 daily fine starts the day after the visa expires, with an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 added after 30 days of overstay.

What about family members on Congo passports?

Yes. We process extensions for spouses, children and other family members together, and UAE residents booking for family can split the combined total across Tabby, Tamara or a UAE credit card plan.

What happens if it is not approved?

Immigration can decline at its discretion, though it seldom does for eligible Congo applicants. The fee is not returned on refusal, and an exit route becomes necessary before expiry.
