If you hold a Denmark passport and your UAE visit visa is running out, a Visa extension lets you stay another 30 days without leaving the country. Each 30 day extension costs AED 1,200, takes two to three working days in most cases, and is managed entirely through WhatsApp with our team. Here is everything a Denmark traveller needs to know before applying: fees, limits, deadlines, paperwork and the alternatives when extension is no longer possible.
The essentials for Denmark citizens: AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, no exit required, two to three working days processing, a 120 day ceiling on total stay, and a five to seven day lead time before expiry. Only the issuing agency can process it.
Planning your Dubai trip? Let White Sky handle it.
We book your attraction tickets, tours, hotels and flights — and you can pay later with Tabby, Tamara or UAE credit-card monthly instalments. Need a UAE tourist visa too? We do that in-house.
What is a Visa extension without exit?
Unlike a visa change, a Visa extension keeps your existing visa and simply adds 30 days to it. We file the extension through the issuing account, and immigration updates the expiry date on your Denmark passport record. No flight, no bus and no border: you remain where you are and receive the approval on WhatsApp.
It should not be confused with the airport to airport change or the Oman bus route, which reset you on a new visa after an exit. Wherever a Denmark citizen is still within the extension limits, this is the option we recommend before anything else.
Who from Denmark can apply for a Visa extension?
Eligibility for a Visa extension depends on three things: the visa you hold, how many extensions you have already used, and which agency issued the visa. WhatsApp us your visa copy and we will tell you straight away if an extension is possible for a Denmark passport or if you need a visa change instead.
- Visitors on an agency issued 30 or 60 day visit visa who have not yet reached the extension limit.
- Applicants whose total stay, including the new extension, will not exceed 120 days from the original entry date.
- Those whose visa came from White Sky Travel, since extensions run through the issuing account under immigration rules.
If your visa was issued by a different agency, you have two choices: ask that agency to extend it, or use an exit route with us. An airport to airport visa change costs AED 1,550 and a visa change by bus to Oman starts from AED 1,000, and both give you a fresh 60 day visa regardless of who issued the first one. Arrival stamps and residency visas are not extendable through an agency.

How much does a Visa extension cost?
A 30 day extension is AED 1,200 for all passports, Denmark included; there is no nationality based pricing on extensions.
- One month visa extension: AED 1,200 for 30 days
- Two month visa extension: AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions
This price includes the immigration fee and our handling. On rejection the fee is retained by immigration and cannot be returned. If a fine has accrued, it is paid to immigration in addition to the extension fee. A Denmark visitor needing 30 days should extend; one needing 60 days after the limit should look at the exit routes.
Spreading the cost
UAE residents arranging a Visa extension for a family member or friend from Denmark can split the AED 1,200 using Tabby with up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable terms, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month plans depending on the issuing bank. All other applicants receive a secure online payment link. When several family members extend at once, we process them together and the total can be paid on the same plan.
What Denmark citizens need to send us
Extensions need less paperwork than a new visa. Message us these three items on WhatsApp:
- A scan of the passport, valid for a minimum of six months.
- One colour passport photo on a plain white background.
- Your present visa, needed to confirm eligibility and the dates.
The extension does not call for a bank statement, accommodation proof or a return ticket. In rare cases immigration asks for something extra; if so, we let Denmark applicants know straight away.
How Denmark citizens apply
- Message +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 on WhatsApp five to seven days ahead of expiry with your documents. We review them and confirm eligibility within hours.
- Complete payment through the link or instalment option we provide. We file the extension once payment clears.
- We lodge the application and track it. Approval for Denmark passports usually takes two to three working days; immigration can sometimes extend this.
- You receive the approved extension as a PDF on WhatsApp showing the new expiry date. Keep it with your passport for the rest of your stay.
When to apply and why the deadline matters
Applications are only accepted while the visa is still valid. Once it expires, extension is no longer possible. With two to three working days of processing and no weekend service, a five to seven day lead time protects Denmark visitors from missing the deadline. When chaining extensions, start each one a few days early and count your total days from the original entry.
What happens if you miss the deadline
UAE visit and tourist visas have no grace period after expiry. An expired visa attracts AED 50 per day in fines from day one, and the rate is the same everywhere in the UAE. After 30 days of overstay, an exit permit costing about AED 250 to 300 becomes necessary as well. If your visa has already expired, extension is off the table; the practical route is to pay the fine and exit through an airport to airport change or the bus to Oman, and we can arrange either.

When extension is no longer possible
At 120 days total, Denmark passport holders must leave the UAE. The choices are an airport to airport change (AED 1,550, same day, flydubai), the Oman bus route (from AED 1,000, about a day), going home and applying afresh, or moving to a residence visa where a sponsor exists. Either exit route resets you on a new 60 day visa, and the same agency rule does not apply to them.
Why extensions get refused or delayed
- Waiting until expiry day, which leaves no room for processing time.
- Approaching a different agency. The same agency rule means we can only extend visas we issued; for others, use an exit route.
- Losing track of cumulative days. The 120 day cap runs from first entry, including every extension.
- Passport validity under six months. Immigration will not extend a visa on a passport close to expiry.
- Confusing residency or arrival stamps with agency visit visas, which are the only ones we can extend.
Questions Denmark travellers ask us
Can Denmark passport holders extend in country?
Yes, without leaving the country. The conditions are an agency issued 30 or 60 day visa, extensions still available, a total stay under 120 days, and processing through the issuing agency.
What is the 1 month visa extension price in Dubai?
The extension fee is AED 1,200 for 30 days and AED 2,400 for 60 days (two back to back extensions), identical for all passports including Denmark.
When will I receive the extension?
Expect two to three working days for a Denmark passport, with a buffer for weekends and holidays.
What is the maximum stay?
A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, each by 30 days. The maximum continuous stay on any UAE tourist visa is 120 days, after which exit is mandatory.
Does the same agency rule apply to Denmark passports?
The same agency rule applies to every nationality, Denmark included. If we did not issue the visa, we cannot extend it, but we can reset you on a new 60 day visa by air (AED 1,550) or bus (from AED 1,000).
Can I stay a few days after expiry?
No grace days exist. Overstaying costs AED 50 per day from day one, plus an exit permit of approximately AED 250 to 300 once the overstay passes 30 days.
Can I extend visas for my family together?
Certainly. We extend the whole family at once, and residents sponsoring Denmark relatives can pay the combined AED 1,200 per person on an instalment plan.
Can immigration decline an extension?
Rejection is uncommon for eligible applications. Fees are not refunded on refusal, since immigration retains the charge, and the fallback is an exit route before the visa expires. Our pre check is designed to catch problems early.
