Visa extension without exit for Gambia passport holders

If you hold a Gambia passport and your UAE visit visa is running out, a Visa extension lets you stay another 30 days without leaving the country. At White Sky Travel a 30 day extension is AED 1,200, processed in around two to three working days, with every step on WhatsApp. This page explains who qualifies, what a Gambia passport holder pays, how many times you can extend, the deadline to apply, and what happens once you reach the 120 day limit.

Quick answer: a Visa extension for a Gambia passport costs AED 1,200 per 30 days and is processed inside the UAE in two to three working days. A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, up to a total stay of 120 days. Apply at least five to seven days before expiry, and note that the extension must be processed by the agency that issued the original visa.

Planning your Dubai trip? Let White Sky handle it.

We book your attraction tickets, tours, hotels and flights — and you can pay later with Tabby, Tamara or UAE credit-card monthly instalments. Need a UAE tourist visa too? We do that in-house.

What is a Visa extension without exit?

A Visa extension is an extension of the current permit; the visa number stays the same and the expiry date moves forward by 30 days. The application is submitted to immigration through the same agency account that issued your original visa, and once approved the new expiry date is recorded against your Gambia passport. You do not leave the country at any point; the approval arrives on WhatsApp while you carry on with your stay.

This is different from an airport to airport visa change or a visa change by bus to Oman, both of which involve leaving the UAE and returning on a completely new tourist visa. For eligible Gambia travellers the extension beats the exit routes on cost, effort and time away.

Who from Gambia can apply for a Visa extension?

Whether you qualify comes down to your current visa, your extension history and who issued the original visa. WhatsApp us your visa copy and we will tell you straight away if an extension is possible for a Gambia passport or if you need a visa change instead.

  • Tourist visa holders with extensions remaining: up to three on a 30 day visa and up to two on a 60 day visa.
  • Anyone whose combined stay stays under 120 days once the extension is counted.
  • Those whose visa came from White Sky Travel, since extensions run through the issuing account under immigration rules.

If your visa was issued by a different agency, you have two choices: ask that agency to extend it, or use an exit route with us. An airport to airport visa change costs AED 1,550 and a visa change by bus to Oman starts from AED 1,000, and both give you a fresh 60 day visa regardless of who issued the first one. Visas issued on arrival and residence visas cannot be extended through this service.

Visa extension fees for Gambia passport holders

The Visa extension fee is AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, and the price is the same for every nationality, including Gambia.

  • A single 30 day block: AED 1,200
  • 60 day extension: AED 2,400 (two 30 day extensions back to back)

The fee covers the government charge and our processing, and it is not refundable if immigration declines the extension, because the government fee is paid at submission. Overstay fines, if any, are paid by the traveller to immigration and are not part of the extension fee. A Gambia visitor needing 30 days should extend; one needing 60 days after the limit should look at the exit routes.

Instalment plans for UAE residents

If you live in the UAE and are sponsoring a relative or friend holding a Gambia passport, the extension fee can be paid through Tabby over up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card in 3, 6, 9 or 12 monthly instalments subject to your bank. Applicants who are not UAE residents pay through a secure online link. We extend spouses and children together and apply one instalment plan to the combined fee.

What Gambia citizens need to send us

The document list for an extension is short, because immigration already holds your details from the original visa. Send these on WhatsApp:

  1. A scan of the passport, valid for a minimum of six months.
  2. A recent colour photograph, white background, passport dimensions, no glasses.
  3. Your existing visa PDF, which tells us the entry date, expiry and extension count.

Bank statements, hotel confirmations and return tickets are not part of the extension application. In rare cases immigration asks for something extra; if so, we let Gambia applicants know straight away.

How Gambia citizens apply

  1. Message +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 on WhatsApp five to seven days ahead of expiry with your documents. We review them and confirm eligibility within hours.
  2. Pay through the secure link or instalment plan we send. Submission to immigration starts only after payment is received.
  3. We submit the extension to immigration and keep you updated. Most Gambia applications are approved within two to three working days, though immigration may occasionally take longer.
  4. You receive the approved extension as a PDF on WhatsApp showing the new expiry date. Keep it with your passport for the rest of your stay.

When to apply and why the deadline matters

An extension is only possible on a live visa, which is why the expiry date is the hard deadline. Because approval takes two to three working days and government offices close at weekends and on public holidays, Gambia passport holders should message us five to seven days before expiry. When chaining extensions, start each one a few days early and count your total days from the original entry.

Overstay rules in 2026

Visitors do not receive any grace days after the expiry date. Every day beyond expiry costs AED 50, whichever emirate issued the visa, starting immediately. After 30 days of overstay, an exit permit costing about AED 250 to 300 becomes necessary as well. After expiry the only option is an exit route; we handle the airport to airport change or the Oman bus for Gambia passports.

When extension is no longer possible

When the extensions are exhausted and 120 days are up, leaving the country is required. From there you have four routes: an airport to airport visa change at AED 1,550 with a same day return by flydubai, a visa change by bus to Oman from AED 1,000 over about one day, returning home and applying for a fresh visa later, or converting to a residence visa if an employer or family sponsor is available. Both exit routes issue a new 60 day tourist visa regardless of which agency issued the original, and we arrange either on WhatsApp.

Why extensions get refused or delayed

  • Waiting until expiry day, which leaves no room for processing time.
  • Approaching a different agency. The same agency rule means we can only extend visas we issued; for others, use an exit route.
  • Assuming the clock resets with each extension. It does not; 120 days is the total from entry.
  • Less than six months on the passport, which blocks the extension.
  • Applying with an arrival stamp or residency, which cannot be extended through an agency.

Frequently asked questions about Visa extension for Gambia passport

Can I extend my UAE visit visa without exiting on a Gambia passport?

Yes. Agency issued 30 day and 60 day visit visas can be extended from inside the UAE without leaving, provided you still have extensions remaining, your total stay will not exceed 120 days, and the application goes through the agency that issued the visa.

What is the 1 month visa extension price in Dubai?

AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, the same for every nationality including Gambia. A two month extension is AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions.

How long does a Visa extension take?

Most extensions are approved within two to three working days. Weekends and public holidays are not counted, and immigration may occasionally take longer, so apply five to seven days before expiry.

What is the maximum stay?

The limit is 120 days in total: three 30 day extensions on a 30 day visa, or two on a 60 day visa.

Can I extend a visa issued by another agency?

Extensions go through the issuer’s account, so a visa from another agency must be extended by them. Alternatively, we arrange an airport to airport change or the Oman bus, neither of which depends on who issued the first visa.

Can I stay a few days after expiry?

No. UAE visit and tourist visas have no grace period. A fine of AED 50 per day applies from the day after expiry, and overstays beyond 30 days also require an exit permit of about AED 250 to 300.

Is there a family extension option?

Yes. Family extensions are handled as one application, and the total fee is eligible for instalments when a UAE resident books on the family’s behalf.

What if my extension is refused?

Very few eligible extensions are refused. If yours is, the government fee cannot be refunded and you would exit via air or bus before the current visa runs out.
