Visa extension for Greece passport

For travellers from Greece, the Visa extension is the simplest way to stay longer: no airport, no bus, just a 30 day extension processed while you remain in the UAE. The fee is AED 1,200 for each 30 day extension, approval normally arrives in two to three working days, and everything is handled on WhatsApp. Here is everything a Greece traveller needs to know before applying: fees, limits, deadlines, paperwork and the alternatives when extension is no longer possible.

The essentials for Greece citizens: AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, no exit required, two to three working days processing, a 120 day ceiling on total stay, and a five to seven day lead time before expiry. Only the issuing agency can process it.

The meaning of Visa extension for Greece passport holders

A Visa extension is an extension of the current permit; the visa number stays the same and the expiry date moves forward by 30 days. Immigration processes the extension under the original issuer’s account and records the new expiry against your Greece passport. There is no travel involved: you stay in the UAE, keep your accommodation and wait for the approval on WhatsApp.

Visa change by air or by bus means exiting and re entering on a new visa; a Visa extension avoids the exit altogether. For eligible Greece travellers the extension beats the exit routes on cost, effort and time away.

Is a Visa extension available for Greece citizens?

Whether you qualify comes down to your current visa, your extension history and who issued the original visa. Send us a copy of your current visa on WhatsApp and we will confirm within the hour whether a Greece passport can be extended, or whether an exit route is the better option.

  • Tourist visa holders with extensions remaining: up to three on a 30 day visa and up to two on a 60 day visa.
  • Applicants whose total stay, including the new extension, will not exceed 120 days from the original entry date.
  • Holders of a visa issued by us. The UAE system routes extension requests through the issuing agency, which is why the same agency rule applies.

If your visa was issued by a different agency, you have two choices: ask that agency to extend it, or use an exit route with us. An airport to airport visa change costs AED 1,550 and a visa change by bus to Oman starts from AED 1,000, and both give you a fresh 60 day visa regardless of who issued the first one. Arrival stamps and residency visas are not extendable through an agency.

Visa extension fees for Greece passport holders

A 30 day extension is AED 1,200 for all passports, Greece included; there is no nationality based pricing on extensions.

  • 30 day extension: AED 1,200
  • 60 day extension: AED 2,400 (two 30 day extensions back to back)

The fee covers the government charge and our processing, and it is not refundable if immigration declines the extension, because the government fee is paid at submission. Overstay fines, if any, are paid by the traveller to immigration and are not part of the extension fee. If you only need a month, extend; if you need two months and have run out of extensions, a new visa by air or bus is the better route for a Greece passport.

Instalment plans for UAE residents

UAE residents arranging a Visa extension for a family member or friend from Greece can split the AED 1,200 using Tabby with up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable terms, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month plans depending on the issuing bank. Applicants who are not UAE residents pay through a secure online link. Group applications for a family are processed as one, with the total eligible for instalments.

Visa extension requirements for Greece passport holders

Extensions need less paperwork than a new visa. Message us these three items on WhatsApp:

  1. A scan of the passport, valid for a minimum of six months.
  2. A white background colour photo in passport format, without eyewear.
  3. A copy of your current UAE visit visa, so we can confirm the issue date, the expiry date and how many extensions have already been used.

The extension does not call for a bank statement, accommodation proof or a return ticket. Should immigration want anything more for a Greece passport, we will contact you on WhatsApp at once.

How to apply for a Visa extension from Greece

  1. Send your documents on WhatsApp to +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 at least five to seven days before your visa expires. We check the expiry date and extension count and confirm eligibility the same day.
  2. Settle the AED 1,200 by secure link or instalments. The application goes to immigration after payment.
  3. We submit the extension to immigration and keep you updated. Most Greece applications are approved within two to three working days, though immigration may occasionally take longer.
  4. We forward the extension PDF on WhatsApp; the new expiry date is on it, so keep it handy.

When to apply and why the deadline matters

An extension is only possible on a live visa, which is why the expiry date is the hard deadline. With two to three working days of processing and no weekend service, a five to seven day lead time protects Greece visitors from missing the deadline. For consecutive extensions, submit each new request a few days before the previous extension expires and track your cumulative stay against the 120 day limit.

What happens if you miss the deadline

There is no grace period on a UAE visit visa. An expired visa attracts AED 50 per day in fines from day one, and the rate is the same everywhere in the UAE. Overstays beyond 30 days additionally require an exit permit of roughly AED 250 to 300. An expired visa means a visa change rather than an extension: pay the fine, then exit by air or bus with us and return on a new visa.

Options for Greece visitors after 120 days

The 120 day ceiling is absolute; after it, every Greece visitor has to exit. From there you have four routes: an airport to airport visa change at AED 1,550 with a same day return by flydubai, a visa change by bus to Oman from AED 1,000 over about one day, returning home and applying for a fresh visa later, or converting to a residence visa if an employer or family sponsor is available. Air or bus, the result is a new 60 day visa, and we book either for Greece travellers on WhatsApp.

Common problems for Greece applicants and how we prevent them

  • Leaving it to the last day. An expired visa cannot be extended, so allow a week.
  • Approaching a different agency. The same agency rule means we can only extend visas we issued; for others, use an exit route.
  • Miscounting the 120 days. Total stay is counted from the original entry date, not from the last extension, so keep a running tally.
  • Passport validity under six months. Immigration will not extend a visa on a passport close to expiry.
  • Applying with an arrival stamp or residency, which cannot be extended through an agency.

Questions Greece travellers ask us

Do I have to leave the UAE to extend?

Yes, without leaving the country. The conditions are an agency issued 30 or 60 day visa, extensions still available, a total stay under 120 days, and processing through the issuing agency.

How much does a Visa extension cost for Greece citizens?

The extension fee is AED 1,200 for 30 days and AED 2,400 for 60 days (two back to back extensions), identical for all passports including Greece.

What is the processing time?

Most extensions are approved within two to three working days. Weekends and public holidays are not counted, and immigration may occasionally take longer, so apply five to seven days before expiry.

What is the maximum stay?

The limit is 120 days in total: three 30 day extensions on a 30 day visa, or two on a 60 day visa.

Can I extend a visa issued by another agency?

The same agency rule applies to every nationality, Greece included. If we did not issue the visa, we cannot extend it, but we can reset you on a new 60 day visa by air (AED 1,550) or bus (from AED 1,000).

When do fines start?

No. UAE visit and tourist visas have no grace period. A fine of AED 50 per day applies from the day after expiry, and overstays beyond 30 days also require an exit permit of about AED 250 to 300.

Can spouse and children extend at the same time?

Certainly. We extend the whole family at once, and residents sponsoring Greece relatives can pay the combined AED 1,200 per person on an instalment plan.

What if my extension is refused?

Refusals are rare when the eligibility rules are met. If immigration declines, the fee is not refundable because the government charge is paid at submission, and you would need to exit before expiry through an airport to airport change or the bus to Oman. We check eligibility carefully before you pay to keep this risk low.
