UAE visit visa extension charges for Guyana citizens

An extension is only possible on a live visa, which is why the expiry date is the hard deadline. Why the expiry date is final

UAE visit and tourist visas have no grace period after expiry. Every day beyond expiry costs AED 50, whichever emirate issued the visa, starting immediately. When extension is no longer possible

When the extensions are exhausted and 120 days are up, leaving the country is required. Four options follow: airport to airport at AED 1,550 and back the same day, the bus to Oman from AED 1,000 taking roughly a day, a return home before a new visa, or a residence visa through an employer or family member. Both exit routes issue a new 60 day tourist visa regardless of which agency issued the original, and we arrange either on WhatsApp.

Mistakes to avoid

• Waiting until expiry day, which leaves no room for processing time.
• Not knowing who issued the visa. Ask the person who arranged it, since the extension has to go through that agency.
• Miscounting the 120 days. Total stay is counted from the original entry date, not from the last extension, so keep a running tally.
• Passport validity under six months. Immigration will not extend a visa on a passport close to expiry.
• Confusing residency or arrival stamps with agency visit visas, which are the only ones we can extend.
