Visa extension for Jamaica citizens without leaving the UAE

For travellers from Jamaica, the Visa extension is the simplest way to stay longer: no airport, no bus, just a 30 day extension processed while you remain in the UAE. Each 30 day extension costs AED 1,200, takes two to three working days in most cases, and is managed entirely through WhatsApp with our team. This page explains who qualifies, what a Jamaica passport holder pays, how many times you can extend, the deadline to apply, and what happens once you reach the 120 day limit.

The essentials for Jamaica citizens: AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, no exit required, two to three working days processing, a 120 day ceiling on total stay, and a five to seven day lead time before expiry. Only the issuing agency can process it.

What is a Visa extension without exit?

A Visa extension without exit is an extension of your existing visit visa, not a new visa. The application is submitted to immigration through the same agency account that issued your original visa, and once approved the new expiry date is recorded against your Jamaica passport. There is no travel involved: you stay in the UAE, keep your accommodation and wait for the approval on WhatsApp.

It should not be confused with the airport to airport change or the Oman bus route, which reset you on a new visa after an exit. For eligible Jamaica travellers the extension beats the exit routes on cost, effort and time away.

Eligibility for Jamaica passport holders

Three factors decide whether a Jamaica passport holder can extend: the visa type, the number of extensions already taken, and the issuing agency. We check the position for Jamaica passports on WhatsApp and advise the right route: extension, airport to airport or bus.

  • Anyone on a 30 day or 60 day tourist visa issued by an agency: three extensions for the 30 day visa, two for the 60 day visa, 30 days each time.
  • Travellers who will remain within the 120 day ceiling after the extension is added.
  • Holders of a visa issued by us. The UAE system routes extension requests through the issuing agency, which is why the same agency rule applies.

If your visa was issued by a different agency, you have two choices: ask that agency to extend it, or use an exit route with us. An airport to airport visa change costs AED 1,550 and a visa change by bus to Oman starts from AED 1,000, and both give you a fresh 60 day visa regardless of who issued the first one. Arrival stamps and residency visas are not extendable through an agency.

Visa extension fees for Jamaica passport holders

A 30 day extension is AED 1,200 for all passports, Jamaica included; there is no nationality based pricing on extensions.

  • 1 month extension inside the UAE: AED 1,200
  • Sixty days of extension: AED 2,400, applied as two 30 day steps

The fee covers the government charge and our processing, and it is not refundable if immigration declines the extension, because the government fee is paid at submission. Fines for overstaying are paid directly to immigration and sit outside the extension price. If you only need a month, extend; if you need two months and have run out of extensions, a new visa by air or bus is the better route for a Jamaica passport.

Instalment plans for UAE residents

UAE residents arranging a Visa extension for a family member or friend from Jamaica can split the AED 1,200 using Tabby with up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable terms, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month plans depending on the issuing bank. Everyone else is sent a secure payment link online. Group applications for a family are processed as one, with the total eligible for instalments.

What Jamaica citizens need to send us

Since immigration already has your file from the original visa, an extension needs only a few items. WhatsApp us:

  1. Passport copy showing at least six months validity.
  2. One colour passport photo on a plain white background.
  3. A copy of your current UAE visit visa, so we can confirm the issue date, the expiry date and how many extensions have already been used.

The extension does not call for a bank statement, accommodation proof or a return ticket. In rare cases immigration asks for something extra; if so, we let Jamaica applicants know straight away.

How Jamaica citizens apply

  1. WhatsApp your documents to +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 a week before expiry. We verify the dates and confirm whether a Jamaica passport can be extended.
  2. Make the payment through the link we send. We submit as soon as it is confirmed.
  3. We submit the extension to immigration and keep you updated. Most Jamaica applications are approved within two to three working days, though immigration may occasionally take longer.
  4. You receive the approved extension as a PDF on WhatsApp showing the new expiry date. Keep it with your passport for the rest of your stay.

Timing your Visa extension

Immigration will not extend a visa that has already lapsed, so the request has to be in before the expiry date. We ask Jamaica travellers to contact us five to seven days ahead, because processing takes two to three working days and weekends and public holidays do not count. For consecutive extensions, submit each new request a few days before the previous extension expires and track your cumulative stay against the 120 day limit.

No grace period and the AED 50 daily fine

There is no grace period on a UAE visit visa. The overstay fine is AED 50 per day, applied uniformly across every emirate and visa category, from the first day past expiry. Overstays beyond 30 days additionally require an exit permit of roughly AED 250 to 300. An expired visa means a visa change rather than an extension: pay the fine, then exit by air or bus with us and return on a new visa.

Options for Jamaica visitors after 120 days

Once a Jamaica visitor has used every extension and reached 120 days, exit is mandatory. The choices are an airport to airport change (AED 1,550, same day, flydubai), the Oman bus route (from AED 1,000, about a day), going home and applying afresh, or moving to a residence visa where a sponsor exists. The two exit routes each provide a fresh 60 day visa whoever issued the first one, and we organise both.

Why extensions get refused or delayed

  • Waiting until expiry day, which leaves no room for processing time.
  • Assuming any agency can extend. Only the issuer can, because immigration routes the request through the issuing account. Check who issued your visa before you plan.
  • Miscounting the 120 days. Total stay is counted from the original entry date, not from the last extension, so keep a running tally.
  • Less than six months on the passport, which blocks the extension.
  • Applying with an arrival stamp or residency, which cannot be extended through an agency.

Questions Jamaica travellers ask us

Is extension without exit possible for Jamaica citizens?

You can. Jamaica passport holders on an agency issued 30 or 60 day visa extend in country as long as extensions remain, the 120 day limit is respected, and the issuing agency files the request.

How much is a 2 month extension?

One month costs AED 1,200 and two months cost AED 2,400, issued as two 30 day extensions. The fee does not vary by nationality, so Jamaica passports pay the standard rate.

When will I receive the extension?

Typically two to three working days, excluding weekends and public holidays. Immigration can take longer in some cases, which is why a five to seven day lead time is recommended.

How many times can a Jamaica citizen extend a UAE tourist visa?

A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, each by 30 days. The maximum continuous stay on any UAE tourist visa is 120 days, after which exit is mandatory.

What if my visa came from a different agency?

Only the issuing agency can extend a visa in country; that is how the immigration system works, not an agency policy. For visas issued elsewhere, ask that agency, or book an exit route with us (airport to airport AED 1,550, bus from AED 1,000) for a fresh 60 day visa.

Can I stay a few days after expiry?

There is no grace period. Fines of AED 50 per day begin immediately after expiry, and an exit permit costing roughly AED 250 to 300 is needed if the overstay exceeds 30 days.

Can spouse and children extend at the same time?

Certainly. We extend the whole family at once, and residents sponsoring Jamaica relatives can pay the combined AED 1,200 per person on an instalment plan.

What happens if it is not approved?

Rejection is uncommon for eligible applications. Fees are not refunded on refusal, since immigration retains the charge, and the fallback is an exit route before the visa expires. Our pre check is designed to catch problems early.
