For travellers from Kenya, the Visa extension is the simplest way to stay longer: no airport, no bus, just a 30 day extension processed while you remain in the UAE. We process the extension for AED 1,200 per 30 day block, usually within two to three working days, and the whole application runs on WhatsApp. Read on for the rules that apply to Kenya passports: cost, number of extensions, timing, documents and the exit routes once the maximum is reached.
The essentials for Kenya citizens: AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, no exit required, two to three working days processing, a 120 day ceiling on total stay, and a five to seven day lead time before expiry. Only the issuing agency can process it.
Planning your Dubai trip? Let White Sky handle it.
We book your attraction tickets, tours, hotels and flights — and you can pay later with Tabby, Tamara or UAE credit-card monthly instalments. Need a UAE tourist visa too? We do that in-house.
What is a Visa extension without exit?
Unlike a visa change, a Visa extension keeps your existing visa and simply adds 30 days to it. We file the extension through the issuing account, and immigration updates the expiry date on your Kenya passport record. There is no travel involved: you stay in the UAE, keep your accommodation and wait for the approval on WhatsApp.
The exit routes, airport to airport and bus to Oman, issue a brand new visa after you leave; an extension does not require leaving at all. For eligible Kenya travellers the extension beats the exit routes on cost, effort and time away.
Eligibility for Kenya passport holders
Eligibility for a Visa extension depends on three things: the visa you hold, how many extensions you have already used, and which agency issued the visa. Send us a copy of your current visa on WhatsApp and we will confirm within the hour whether a Kenya passport can be extended, or whether an exit route is the better option.
- Visitors on an agency issued 30 or 60 day visit visa who have not yet reached the extension limit.
- Visitors who have not reached 120 days in the UAE on the current visa.
- Applicants whose original visa was issued by White Sky Travel. In country extensions can only be processed by the agency that issued the visa, because immigration handles the request through the issuer’s account.
If your visa was issued by a different agency, you have two choices: ask that agency to extend it, or use an exit route with us. An airport to airport visa change costs AED 1,550 and a visa change by bus to Oman starts from AED 1,000, and both give you a fresh 60 day visa regardless of who issued the first one. Visas issued on arrival and residence visas cannot be extended through this service.

Kenya passport Visa extension price
Each 30 day extension costs AED 1,200, and unlike a new visa the fee does not change by nationality, so Kenya passports pay the standard rate.
- 1 month extension inside the UAE: AED 1,200
- Two month visa extension: AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions
The AED 1,200 includes the immigration fee and our service. It cannot be refunded on refusal, since the government charge is paid when the application is lodged. Overstay fines, if any, are paid by the traveller to immigration and are not part of the extension fee. A Kenya visitor needing 30 days should extend; one needing 60 days after the limit should look at the exit routes.
Payment options
UAE residents arranging a Visa extension for a family member or friend from Kenya can split the AED 1,200 using Tabby with up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable terms, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month plans depending on the issuing bank. Applicants who are not UAE residents pay through a secure online link. Group applications for a family are processed as one, with the total eligible for instalments.
What Kenya citizens need to send us
Because your record already exists with immigration, we only need the following on WhatsApp:
- Your Kenya passport data page, with six months or more validity remaining.
- A white background colour photo in passport format, without eyewear.
- Your present visa, needed to confirm eligibility and the dates.
No bank statement, hotel booking or return ticket is required for the extension itself. Immigration may occasionally request an additional document on a case by case basis, and we will tell you immediately if that happens for a Kenya passport.
Getting your extension in four steps
- Send your documents on WhatsApp to +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 at least five to seven days before your visa expires. We check the expiry date and extension count and confirm eligibility the same day.
- Make the payment through the link we send. We submit as soon as it is confirmed.
- We submit the extension to immigration and keep you updated. Most Kenya applications are approved within two to three working days, though immigration may occasionally take longer.
- Once approved, we send the extension PDF on WhatsApp. It shows the new expiry date and should travel with your passport.
Do not wait until the last day
An extension is only possible on a live visa, which is why the expiry date is the hard deadline. Allow five to seven days: two to three working days for processing, plus a buffer for weekends and holidays. Back to back extensions should each be filed a few days before the running expiry, always within the 120 day cap.
No grace period and the AED 50 daily fine
There is no grace period on a UAE visit visa. An expired visa attracts AED 50 per day in fines from day one, and the rate is the same everywhere in the UAE. If the overstay passes 30 days, an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 is required on top of the fines. If your visa has already expired, extension is off the table; the practical route is to pay the fine and exit through an airport to airport change or the bus to Oman, and we can arrange either.

Options for Kenya visitors after 120 days
When the extensions are exhausted and 120 days are up, leaving the country is required. The choices are an airport to airport change (AED 1,550, same day, flydubai), the Oman bus route (from AED 1,000, about a day), going home and applying afresh, or moving to a residence visa where a sponsor exists. The two exit routes each provide a fresh 60 day visa whoever issued the first one, and we organise both.
Common problems for Kenya applicants and how we prevent them
- Applying too late. Extensions cannot be filed after expiry, so contact us five to seven days ahead.
- Approaching a different agency. The same agency rule means we can only extend visas we issued; for others, use an exit route.
- Miscounting the 120 days. Total stay is counted from the original entry date, not from the last extension, so keep a running tally.
- Less than six months on the passport, which blocks the extension.
- Trying to extend a visa on arrival or a residence visa. This service covers agency issued visit visas only; other permits need a different route.
Kenya passport Visa extension FAQ
Can Kenya passport holders extend in country?
Yes. No exit is needed for agency issued visit visas within the extension limits and the 120 day cap, when processed by the original issuer.
How much is a 2 month extension?
The extension fee is AED 1,200 for 30 days and AED 2,400 for 60 days (two back to back extensions), identical for all passports including Kenya.
When will I receive the extension?
Expect two to three working days for a Kenya passport, with a buffer for weekends and holidays.
How many extensions are allowed?
A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, each by 30 days. The maximum continuous stay on any UAE tourist visa is 120 days, after which exit is mandatory.
What if my visa came from a different agency?
Only the issuing agency can extend a visa in country; that is how the immigration system works, not an agency policy. For visas issued elsewhere, ask that agency, or book an exit route with us (airport to airport AED 1,550, bus from AED 1,000) for a fresh 60 day visa.
Is there a grace period after my visa expires?
There is no grace period. Fines of AED 50 per day begin immediately after expiry, and an exit permit costing roughly AED 250 to 300 is needed if the overstay exceeds 30 days.
Can I extend visas for my family together?
Certainly. We extend the whole family at once, and residents sponsoring Kenya relatives can pay the combined AED 1,200 per person on an instalment plan.
Can immigration decline an extension?
Immigration can decline at its discretion, though it seldom does for eligible Kenya applicants. The fee is not returned on refusal, and an exit route becomes necessary before expiry.
