Visa extension without exit for Micronesia passport holders

For travellers from Micronesia, the Visa extension is the simplest way to stay longer: no airport, no bus, just a 30 day extension processed while you remain in the UAE. The fee is AED 1,200 for each 30 day extension, approval normally arrives in two to three working days, and everything is handled on WhatsApp. Read on for the rules that apply to Micronesia passports: cost, number of extensions, timing, documents and the exit routes once the maximum is reached.

Quick answer: a Visa extension for a Micronesia passport costs AED 1,200 per 30 days and is processed inside the UAE in two to three working days. A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, up to a total stay of 120 days. Apply at least five to seven days before expiry, and note that the extension must be processed by the agency that issued the original visa.

The meaning of Visa extension for Micronesia passport holders

A Visa extension is an extension of the current permit; the visa number stays the same and the expiry date moves forward by 30 days. The request goes to immigration under the account that issued the visa, and approval extends the expiry date linked to your Micronesia passport. You do not leave the country at any point; the approval arrives on WhatsApp while you carry on with your stay.

Visa change by air or by bus means exiting and re entering on a new visa; a Visa extension avoids the exit altogether. If a Micronesia passport holder is still eligible, the extension is cheaper and simpler than any exit route, so it is always our first suggestion.

Is a Visa extension available for Micronesia citizens?

Three factors decide whether a Micronesia passport holder can extend: the visa type, the number of extensions already taken, and the issuing agency. Send us a copy of your current visa on WhatsApp and we will confirm within the hour whether a Micronesia passport can be extended, or whether an exit route is the better option.

  • Tourist visa holders with extensions remaining: up to three on a 30 day visa and up to two on a 60 day visa.
  • Travellers who will remain within the 120 day ceiling after the extension is added.
  • Applicants whose original visa was issued by White Sky Travel. In country extensions can only be processed by the agency that issued the visa, because immigration handles the request through the issuer’s account.

If we did not issue your visa, the original agency can extend it, or we can reset you on a new 60 day visa through an airport to airport change (AED 1,550) or the bus to Oman (from AED 1,000). On arrival stamps and residence visas fall outside this service.

Micronesia passport Visa extension price

Each 30 day extension costs AED 1,200, and unlike a new visa the fee does not change by nationality, so Micronesia passports pay the standard rate.

  • A single 30 day block: AED 1,200
  • Two month visa extension: AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions

The fee covers the government charge and our processing, and it is not refundable if immigration declines the extension, because the government fee is paid at submission. Any overstay fine is settled separately with immigration and is not included in the AED 1,200. For 30 extra days the extension is cheaper and simpler than any exit route; for a full 60 days with no extensions remaining, the airport to airport change or the bus route becomes the better buy for Micronesia travellers.

Spreading the cost

If you live in the UAE and are sponsoring a relative or friend holding a Micronesia passport, the extension fee can be paid through Tabby over up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card in 3, 6, 9 or 12 monthly instalments subject to your bank. Everyone else is sent a secure payment link online. When several family members extend at once, we process them together and the total can be paid on the same plan.

Paperwork for a Visa extension

Extensions need less paperwork than a new visa. Message us these three items on WhatsApp:

  1. A clear copy of your Micronesia passport, valid for at least six months.
  2. A white background colour photo in passport format, without eyewear.
  3. A copy of your current UAE visit visa, so we can confirm the issue date, the expiry date and how many extensions have already been used.

You will not be asked for financial documents, a hotel booking or a ticket to extend. In rare cases immigration asks for something extra; if so, we let Micronesia applicants know straight away.

How to apply for a Visa extension from Micronesia

  1. Send your documents on WhatsApp to +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 at least five to seven days before your visa expires. We check the expiry date and extension count and confirm eligibility the same day.
  2. Make the payment through the link we send. We submit as soon as it is confirmed.
  3. The extension is filed and monitored by our team. Expect two to three working days for most Micronesia applicants, subject to immigration’s discretion.
  4. We forward the extension PDF on WhatsApp; the new expiry date is on it, so keep it handy.

When to apply and why the deadline matters

The extension must be submitted before the current visa expires; an expired visa cannot be extended. We ask Micronesia travellers to contact us five to seven days ahead, because processing takes two to three working days and weekends and public holidays do not count. For consecutive extensions, submit each new request a few days before the previous extension expires and track your cumulative stay against the 120 day limit.

Overstay rules in 2026

Once a visit visa expires, no extra days are granted. An expired visa attracts AED 50 per day in fines from day one, and the rate is the same everywhere in the UAE. Anyone who overstays by more than 30 days also needs an exit permit, typically AED 250 to 300, before leaving. An expired visa means a visa change rather than an extension: pay the fine, then exit by air or bus with us and return on a new visa.

What to do after the maximum extensions

At 120 days total, Micronesia passport holders must leave the UAE. You can fly out and back the same day for AED 1,550, take the Oman bus from AED 1,000, return to Micronesia and reapply, or switch to residency if you have a sponsor. Both exit routes issue a new 60 day tourist visa regardless of which agency issued the original, and we arrange either on WhatsApp.

How to keep your application on track

  • Missing the deadline. Once the visa lapses, only an exit route remains.
  • Assuming any agency can extend. Only the issuer can, because immigration routes the request through the issuing account. Check who issued your visa before you plan.
  • Forgetting that extensions add to the original stay rather than replacing it.
  • A passport expiring soon. Renew it before applying.
  • Expecting an on arrival stamp to be extendable. It is not; a visa change is required instead.

Micronesia passport Visa extension FAQ

Can Micronesia passport holders extend in country?

Yes. Agency issued 30 day and 60 day visit visas can be extended from inside the UAE without leaving, provided you still have extensions remaining, your total stay will not exceed 120 days, and the application goes through the agency that issued the visa.

What are the UAE visit visa extension fees?

One month costs AED 1,200 and two months cost AED 2,400, issued as two 30 day extensions. The fee does not vary by nationality, so Micronesia passports pay the standard rate.

How long does a Visa extension take?

Expect two to three working days for a Micronesia passport, with a buffer for weekends and holidays.

How many times can a Micronesia citizen extend a UAE tourist visa?

A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, each by 30 days. The maximum continuous stay on any UAE tourist visa is 120 days, after which exit is mandatory.

Does the same agency rule apply to Micronesia passports?

No. In country extensions can only be processed by the agency that issued the original visa, because immigration handles the request through the issuer’s account. If another agency issued your visa, contact them, or use an exit route with us: an airport to airport change at AED 1,550 or the bus to Oman from AED 1,000, both giving a new 60 day visa.

How many days can I stay after the visa ends?

No grace days exist. Overstaying costs AED 50 per day from day one, plus an exit permit of approximately AED 250 to 300 once the overstay passes 30 days.

What about family members on Micronesia passports?

Certainly. We extend the whole family at once, and residents sponsoring Micronesia relatives can pay the combined AED 1,200 per person on an instalment plan.

Is the fee refundable on rejection?

Refusals are rare when the eligibility rules are met. If immigration declines, the fee is not refundable because the government charge is paid at submission, and you would need to exit before expiry through an airport to airport change or the bus to Oman. We check eligibility carefully before you pay to keep this risk low.
