Montenegro passport Visa extension: fees, rules and process

A Visa extension allows Montenegro passport holders to add 30 days to a UAE visit visa without exiting, flying anywhere or crossing a border. We process the extension for AED 1,200 per 30 day block, usually within two to three working days, and the whole application runs on WhatsApp. Below you will find eligibility, pricing for Montenegro citizens, the extension limits, the application deadline and your options after 120 days.

In short: Montenegro passport holders pay AED 1,200 for each 30 day Visa extension, approved in two to three working days without leaving the country. Three extensions on a 30 day visa, two on a 60 day visa, 120 days maximum. Apply five to seven days before expiry through the agency that issued your visa.

Visa extension explained for Montenegro travellers

Unlike a visa change, a Visa extension keeps your existing visa and simply adds 30 days to it. The application is submitted to immigration through the same agency account that issued your original visa, and once approved the new expiry date is recorded against your Montenegro passport. No flight, no bus and no border: you remain where you are and receive the approval on WhatsApp.

The exit routes, airport to airport and bus to Oman, issue a brand new visa after you leave; an extension does not require leaving at all. If a Montenegro passport holder is still eligible, the extension is cheaper and simpler than any exit route, so it is always our first suggestion.

Is a Visa extension available for Montenegro citizens?

Whether you qualify comes down to your current visa, your extension history and who issued the original visa. WhatsApp us your visa copy and we will tell you straight away if an extension is possible for a Montenegro passport or if you need a visa change instead.

  • Tourist visa holders with extensions remaining: up to three on a 30 day visa and up to two on a 60 day visa.
  • Anyone whose combined stay stays under 120 days once the extension is counted.
  • Holders of a visa issued by us. The UAE system routes extension requests through the issuing agency, which is why the same agency rule applies.

Visas issued elsewhere can be extended by that agency; alternatively, we arrange an airport to airport change at AED 1,550 or a bus visa change from AED 1,000, each providing a new 60 day visa. On arrival stamps and residence visas fall outside this service.

Montenegro passport Visa extension price

A 30 day extension is AED 1,200 for all passports, Montenegro included; there is no nationality based pricing on extensions.

  • One month visa extension: AED 1,200 for 30 days
  • Two month visa extension: AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions

The fee covers the government charge and our processing, and it is not refundable if immigration declines the extension, because the government fee is paid at submission. Fines for overstaying are paid directly to immigration and sit outside the extension price. A Montenegro visitor needing 30 days should extend; one needing 60 days after the limit should look at the exit routes.

Spreading the cost

Residents of the UAE booking for Montenegro visitors can use Tabby for up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable repayment, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month terms set by the card issuer. All other applicants receive a secure online payment link. Group applications for a family are processed as one, with the total eligible for instalments.

Documents required for a Visa extension on a Montenegro passport

The document list for an extension is short, because immigration already holds your details from the original visa. Send these on WhatsApp:

  1. Passport copy showing at least six months validity.
  2. A white background colour photo in passport format, without eyewear.
  3. A copy of your current UAE visit visa, so we can confirm the issue date, the expiry date and how many extensions have already been used.

The extension does not call for a bank statement, accommodation proof or a return ticket. Should immigration want anything more for a Montenegro passport, we will contact you on WhatsApp at once.

Getting your extension in four steps

  1. WhatsApp your documents to +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 a week before expiry. We verify the dates and confirm whether a Montenegro passport can be extended.
  2. Pay through the secure link or instalment plan we send. Submission to immigration starts only after payment is received.
  3. We lodge the application and track it. Approval for Montenegro passports usually takes two to three working days; immigration can sometimes extend this.
  4. You receive the approved extension as a PDF on WhatsApp showing the new expiry date. Keep it with your passport for the rest of your stay.

Timing your Visa extension

An extension is only possible on a live visa, which is why the expiry date is the hard deadline. Because approval takes two to three working days and government offices close at weekends and on public holidays, Montenegro passport holders should message us five to seven days before expiry. For consecutive extensions, submit each new request a few days before the previous extension expires and track your cumulative stay against the 120 day limit.

No grace period and the AED 50 daily fine

UAE visit and tourist visas have no grace period after expiry. The overstay fine is AED 50 per day, applied uniformly across every emirate and visa category, from the first day past expiry. After 30 days of overstay, an exit permit costing about AED 250 to 300 becomes necessary as well. If your visa has already expired, extension is off the table; the practical route is to pay the fine and exit through an airport to airport change or the bus to Oman, and we can arrange either.

When extension is no longer possible

The 120 day ceiling is absolute; after it, every Montenegro visitor has to exit. You can fly out and back the same day for AED 1,550, take the Oman bus from AED 1,000, return to Montenegro and reapply, or switch to residency if you have a sponsor. Either exit route resets you on a new 60 day visa, and the same agency rule does not apply to them.

How to keep your application on track

  • Applying too late. Extensions cannot be filed after expiry, so contact us five to seven days ahead.
  • Expecting a third party to extend a visa it did not issue, which the system does not allow.
  • Miscounting the 120 days. Total stay is counted from the original entry date, not from the last extension, so keep a running tally.
  • Less than six months on the passport, which blocks the extension.
  • Applying with an arrival stamp or residency, which cannot be extended through an agency.

Frequently asked questions about Visa extension for Montenegro passport

Can I extend my UAE visit visa without exiting on a Montenegro passport?

Yes. Agency issued 30 day and 60 day visit visas can be extended from inside the UAE without leaving, provided you still have extensions remaining, your total stay will not exceed 120 days, and the application goes through the agency that issued the visa.

What is the 1 month visa extension price in Dubai?

One month costs AED 1,200 and two months cost AED 2,400, issued as two 30 day extensions. The fee does not vary by nationality, so Montenegro passports pay the standard rate.

How many days until approval?

Most extensions are approved within two to three working days. Weekends and public holidays are not counted, and immigration may occasionally take longer, so apply five to seven days before expiry.

How many extensions are allowed?

Three extensions on a 30 day visa, two on a 60 day visa, 30 days each. Total stay cannot exceed 120 days from the original entry.

Does the same agency rule apply to Montenegro passports?

No. In country extensions can only be processed by the agency that issued the original visa, because immigration handles the request through the issuer’s account. If another agency issued your visa, contact them, or use an exit route with us: an airport to airport change at AED 1,550 or the bus to Oman from AED 1,000, both giving a new 60 day visa.

How many days can I stay after the visa ends?

No grace days exist. Overstaying costs AED 50 per day from day one, plus an exit permit of approximately AED 250 to 300 once the overstay passes 30 days.

Can I extend visas for my family together?

Yes. Family extensions are handled as one application, and the total fee is eligible for instalments when a UAE resident books on the family’s behalf.

Can immigration decline an extension?

Immigration can decline at its discretion, though it seldom does for eligible Montenegro applicants. The fee is not returned on refusal, and an exit route becomes necessary before expiry.
