For travellers from Mongolia, the Visa extension is the simplest way to stay longer: no airport, no bus, just a 30 day extension processed while you remain in the UAE. We process the extension for AED 1,200 per 30 day block, usually within two to three working days, and the whole application runs on WhatsApp. Here is everything a Mongolia traveller needs to know before applying: fees, limits, deadlines, paperwork and the alternatives when extension is no longer possible.
In short: Mongolia passport holders pay AED 1,200 for each 30 day Visa extension, approved in two to three working days without leaving the country. Three extensions on a 30 day visa, two on a 60 day visa, 120 days maximum. Apply five to seven days before expiry through the agency that issued your visa.
Planning your Dubai trip? Let White Sky handle it.
We book your attraction tickets, tours, hotels and flights — and you can pay later with Tabby, Tamara or UAE credit-card monthly instalments. Need a UAE tourist visa too? We do that in-house.
Visa extension explained for Mongolia travellers
A Visa extension without exit is an extension of your existing visit visa, not a new visa. Immigration processes the extension under the original issuer’s account and records the new expiry against your Mongolia passport. Nothing physical happens on your side; you continue your visit and we send the approved extension on WhatsApp.
This is different from an airport to airport visa change or a visa change by bus to Oman, both of which involve leaving the UAE and returning on a completely new tourist visa. For eligible Mongolia travellers the extension beats the exit routes on cost, effort and time away.
Is a Visa extension available for Mongolia citizens?
Three factors decide whether a Mongolia passport holder can extend: the visa type, the number of extensions already taken, and the issuing agency. We check the position for Mongolia passports on WhatsApp and advise the right route: extension, airport to airport or bus.
- Tourist visa holders with extensions remaining: up to three on a 30 day visa and up to two on a 60 day visa.
- Visitors who have not reached 120 days in the UAE on the current visa.
- Holders of a visa issued by us. The UAE system routes extension requests through the issuing agency, which is why the same agency rule applies.
If your visa was issued by a different agency, you have two choices: ask that agency to extend it, or use an exit route with us. An airport to airport visa change costs AED 1,550 and a visa change by bus to Oman starts from AED 1,000, and both give you a fresh 60 day visa regardless of who issued the first one. Visas issued on arrival and residence visas cannot be extended through this service.

Mongolia passport Visa extension price
Each 30 day extension costs AED 1,200, and unlike a new visa the fee does not change by nationality, so Mongolia passports pay the standard rate.
- One month visa extension: AED 1,200 for 30 days
- Sixty days of extension: AED 2,400, applied as two 30 day steps
This price includes the immigration fee and our handling. On rejection the fee is retained by immigration and cannot be returned. If a fine has accrued, it is paid to immigration in addition to the extension fee. If you only need a month, extend; if you need two months and have run out of extensions, a new visa by air or bus is the better route for a Mongolia passport.
Pay in monthly instalments
UAE residents arranging a Visa extension for a family member or friend from Mongolia can split the AED 1,200 using Tabby with up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable terms, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month plans depending on the issuing bank. Other travellers pay by a secure online payment link that we send on WhatsApp. Family extensions are handled together, and the combined total can be split the same way.
What Mongolia citizens need to send us
The document list for an extension is short, because immigration already holds your details from the original visa. Send these on WhatsApp:
- Your Mongolia passport data page, with six months or more validity remaining.
- A white background colour photo in passport format, without eyewear.
- Your present visa, needed to confirm eligibility and the dates.
No bank statement, hotel booking or return ticket is required for the extension itself. Immigration can request further documents at its discretion, and we pass any such request on to Mongolia travellers without delay.
The application process step by step
- Message +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 on WhatsApp five to seven days ahead of expiry with your documents. We review them and confirm eligibility within hours.
- Settle the AED 1,200 by secure link or instalments. The application goes to immigration after payment.
- We lodge the application and track it. Approval for Mongolia passports usually takes two to three working days; immigration can sometimes extend this.
- The approved extension arrives as a PDF on WhatsApp with the updated expiry. Store it alongside your passport.
When to apply and why the deadline matters
The extension must be submitted before the current visa expires; an expired visa cannot be extended. With two to three working days of processing and no weekend service, a five to seven day lead time protects Mongolia visitors from missing the deadline. If you plan to extend more than once, apply for the next extension a few days before the current one ends, and keep an eye on the 120 day total.
Why the expiry date is final
Once a visit visa expires, no extra days are granted. A fine of AED 50 applies for every day of overstay, the same flat rate across all visa types and emirates, and it starts the day after expiry. Anyone who overstays by more than 30 days also needs an exit permit, typically AED 250 to 300, before leaving. After expiry the only option is an exit route; we handle the airport to airport change or the Oman bus for Mongolia passports.

Reaching the 120 day limit
At 120 days total, Mongolia passport holders must leave the UAE. Four options follow: airport to airport at AED 1,550 and back the same day, the bus to Oman from AED 1,000 taking roughly a day, a return home before a new visa, or a residence visa through an employer or family member. The two exit routes each provide a fresh 60 day visa whoever issued the first one, and we organise both.
Common problems for Mongolia applicants and how we prevent them
- Missing the deadline. Once the visa lapses, only an exit route remains.
- Approaching a different agency. The same agency rule means we can only extend visas we issued; for others, use an exit route.
- Losing track of cumulative days. The 120 day cap runs from first entry, including every extension.
- A passport expiring soon. Renew it before applying.
- Expecting an on arrival stamp to be extendable. It is not; a visa change is required instead.
Frequently asked questions about Visa extension for Mongolia passport
Do I have to leave the UAE to extend?
Yes. No exit is needed for agency issued visit visas within the extension limits and the 120 day cap, when processed by the original issuer.
What is the 1 month visa extension price in Dubai?
AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, the same for every nationality including Mongolia. A two month extension is AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions.
How many days until approval?
Typically two to three working days, excluding weekends and public holidays. Immigration can take longer in some cases, which is why a five to seven day lead time is recommended.
How many extensions are allowed?
The limit is 120 days in total: three 30 day extensions on a 30 day visa, or two on a 60 day visa.
Can I extend a visa issued by another agency?
No. In country extensions can only be processed by the agency that issued the original visa, because immigration handles the request through the issuer’s account. If another agency issued your visa, contact them, or use an exit route with us: an airport to airport change at AED 1,550 or the bus to Oman from AED 1,000, both giving a new 60 day visa.
How many days can I stay after the visa ends?
None. The AED 50 daily fine starts the day after the visa expires, with an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 added after 30 days of overstay.
Can spouse and children extend at the same time?
Yes. Family extensions are handled as one application, and the total fee is eligible for instalments when a UAE resident books on the family’s behalf.
Is the fee refundable on rejection?
Immigration can decline at its discretion, though it seldom does for eligible Mongolia applicants. The fee is not returned on refusal, and an exit route becomes necessary before expiry.
