Visa extension for Mozambique passport

If you hold a Mozambique passport and your UAE visit visa is running out, a Visa extension lets you stay another 30 days without leaving the country. Each 30 day extension costs AED 1,200, takes two to three working days in most cases, and is managed entirely through WhatsApp with our team. Below you will find eligibility, pricing for Mozambique citizens, the extension limits, the application deadline and your options after 120 days.

In short: Mozambique passport holders pay AED 1,200 for each 30 day Visa extension, approved in two to three working days without leaving the country. Three extensions on a 30 day visa, two on a 60 day visa, 120 days maximum. Apply five to seven days before expiry through the agency that issued your visa.

Planning your Dubai trip? Let White Sky handle it.

We book your attraction tickets, tours, hotels and flights — and you can pay later with Tabby, Tamara or UAE credit-card monthly instalments. Need a UAE tourist visa too? We do that in-house.

How an in country UAE visa extension works

Unlike a visa change, a Visa extension keeps your existing visa and simply adds 30 days to it. Immigration processes the extension under the original issuer’s account and records the new expiry against your Mozambique passport. No flight, no bus and no border: you remain where you are and receive the approval on WhatsApp.

Visa change by air or by bus means exiting and re entering on a new visa; a Visa extension avoids the exit altogether. For Mozambique visitors who still qualify, the extension is the cheapest and least disruptive option, and it is the one we recommend first.

Is a Visa extension available for Mozambique citizens?

A Visa extension is available when the visa type allows it, the extension count has not been exhausted, and the application goes through the original issuer. Message a photo of your visa to our WhatsApp and we confirm eligibility for Mozambique citizens before you pay anything.

  • Visit and tourist visa holders on a 30 day or 60 day visa issued through a travel agency. A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, each by 30 days.
  • Travellers who will remain within the 120 day ceiling after the extension is added.
  • Applicants whose original visa was issued by White Sky Travel. In country extensions can only be processed by the agency that issued the visa, because immigration handles the request through the issuer’s account.

Where another agency issued the visa, either contact them for the extension or book an exit route with us: airport to airport at AED 1,550 or the Oman bus from AED 1,000, both of which issue a new 60 day visa whatever the original source. This service does not cover visa on arrival stamps or residence permits.

Visa extension fees for Mozambique passport holders

We charge AED 1,200 for every 30 day extension regardless of nationality, so Mozambique citizens pay exactly this figure.

  • 30 day extension: AED 1,200
  • Sixty days of extension: AED 2,400, applied as two 30 day steps

This price includes the immigration fee and our handling. On rejection the fee is retained by immigration and cannot be returned. Overstay fines, if any, are paid by the traveller to immigration and are not part of the extension fee. A Mozambique visitor needing 30 days should extend; one needing 60 days after the limit should look at the exit routes.

Spreading the cost

For UAE residents applying on behalf of Mozambique family or friends, the AED 1,200 can be spread with Tabby up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card over 3, 6, 9 or 12 months according to the bank. Applicants who are not UAE residents pay through a secure online link. When several family members extend at once, we process them together and the total can be paid on the same plan.

Visa extension requirements for Mozambique passport holders

Extensions need less paperwork than a new visa. Message us these three items on WhatsApp:

  1. A scan of the passport, valid for a minimum of six months.
  2. A recent colour photograph, white background, passport dimensions, no glasses.
  3. Your present visa, needed to confirm eligibility and the dates.

You will not be asked for financial documents, a hotel booking or a ticket to extend. Immigration may occasionally request an additional document on a case by case basis, and we will tell you immediately if that happens for a Mozambique passport.

How Mozambique citizens apply

  1. Send your documents on WhatsApp to +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 at least five to seven days before your visa expires. We check the expiry date and extension count and confirm eligibility the same day.
  2. Make the payment through the link we send. We submit as soon as it is confirmed.
  3. The extension is filed and monitored by our team. Expect two to three working days for most Mozambique applicants, subject to immigration’s discretion.
  4. The approved extension arrives as a PDF on WhatsApp with the updated expiry. Store it alongside your passport.

When to apply and why the deadline matters

An extension is only possible on a live visa, which is why the expiry date is the hard deadline. With two to three working days of processing and no weekend service, a five to seven day lead time protects Mozambique visitors from missing the deadline. For consecutive extensions, submit each new request a few days before the previous extension expires and track your cumulative stay against the 120 day limit.

What happens if you miss the deadline

There is no grace period on a UAE visit visa. A fine of AED 50 applies for every day of overstay, the same flat rate across all visa types and emirates, and it starts the day after expiry. After 30 days of overstay, an exit permit costing about AED 250 to 300 becomes necessary as well. Once expired, the visa cannot be extended. You settle the fine and use an exit route, airport to airport or bus, which we organise for Mozambique travellers.

Reaching the 120 day limit

The 120 day ceiling is absolute; after it, every Mozambique visitor has to exit. From there you have four routes: an airport to airport visa change at AED 1,550 with a same day return by flydubai, a visa change by bus to Oman from AED 1,000 over about one day, returning home and applying for a fresh visa later, or converting to a residence visa if an employer or family sponsor is available. The two exit routes each provide a fresh 60 day visa whoever issued the first one, and we organise both.

Why extensions get refused or delayed

  • Applying too late. Extensions cannot be filed after expiry, so contact us five to seven days ahead.
  • Not knowing who issued the visa. Ask the person who arranged it, since the extension has to go through that agency.
  • Miscounting the 120 days. Total stay is counted from the original entry date, not from the last extension, so keep a running tally.
  • Less than six months on the passport, which blocks the extension.
  • Expecting an on arrival stamp to be extendable. It is not; a visa change is required instead.

Questions Mozambique travellers ask us

Can Mozambique passport holders extend in country?

Yes. No exit is needed for agency issued visit visas within the extension limits and the 120 day cap, when processed by the original issuer.

How much does a Visa extension cost for Mozambique citizens?

One month costs AED 1,200 and two months cost AED 2,400, issued as two 30 day extensions. The fee does not vary by nationality, so Mozambique passports pay the standard rate.

How long does a Visa extension take?

Most extensions are approved within two to three working days. Weekends and public holidays are not counted, and immigration may occasionally take longer, so apply five to seven days before expiry.

How many times can a Mozambique citizen extend a UAE tourist visa?

The limit is 120 days in total: three 30 day extensions on a 30 day visa, or two on a 60 day visa.

Who can process my extension?

Extensions go through the issuer’s account, so a visa from another agency must be extended by them. Alternatively, we arrange an airport to airport change or the Oman bus, neither of which depends on who issued the first visa.

Can I stay a few days after expiry?

None. The AED 50 daily fine starts the day after the visa expires, with an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 added after 30 days of overstay.

Is there a family extension option?

Certainly. We extend the whole family at once, and residents sponsoring Mozambique relatives can pay the combined AED 1,200 per person on an instalment plan.

What happens if it is not approved?

Immigration can decline at its discretion, though it seldom does for eligible Mozambique applicants. The fee is not returned on refusal, and an exit route becomes necessary before expiry.
