For travellers from Myanmar, the Visa extension is the simplest way to stay longer: no airport, no bus, just a 30 day extension processed while you remain in the UAE. The fee is AED 1,200 for each 30 day extension, approval normally arrives in two to three working days, and everything is handled on WhatsApp. This page explains who qualifies, what a Myanmar passport holder pays, how many times you can extend, the deadline to apply, and what happens once you reach the 120 day limit.
Short version: AED 1,200 per 30 days, processed in country in two to three working days for Myanmar passports, up to 120 days total. Apply a week before expiry via the agency that issued the original visa.
Planning your Dubai trip? Let White Sky handle it.
We book your attraction tickets, tours, hotels and flights — and you can pay later with Tabby, Tamara or UAE credit-card monthly instalments. Need a UAE tourist visa too? We do that in-house.
Visa extension explained for Myanmar travellers
A Visa extension without exit is an extension of your existing visit visa, not a new visa. The application is submitted to immigration through the same agency account that issued your original visa, and once approved the new expiry date is recorded against your Myanmar passport. Nothing physical happens on your side; you continue your visit and we send the approved extension on WhatsApp.
The exit routes, airport to airport and bus to Oman, issue a brand new visa after you leave; an extension does not require leaving at all. If a Myanmar passport holder is still eligible, the extension is cheaper and simpler than any exit route, so it is always our first suggestion.
Who qualifies
Three factors decide whether a Myanmar passport holder can extend: the visa type, the number of extensions already taken, and the issuing agency. Message a photo of your visa to our WhatsApp and we confirm eligibility for Myanmar citizens before you pay anything.
- Visitors on an agency issued 30 or 60 day visit visa who have not yet reached the extension limit.
- Travellers who will remain within the 120 day ceiling after the extension is added.
- Applicants whose original visa was issued by White Sky Travel. In country extensions can only be processed by the agency that issued the visa, because immigration handles the request through the issuer’s account.
If your visa was issued by a different agency, you have two choices: ask that agency to extend it, or use an exit route with us. An airport to airport visa change costs AED 1,550 and a visa change by bus to Oman starts from AED 1,000, and both give you a fresh 60 day visa regardless of who issued the first one. Visas issued on arrival and residence visas cannot be extended through this service.

Myanmar passport Visa extension price
A 30 day extension is AED 1,200 for all passports, Myanmar included; there is no nationality based pricing on extensions.
- One month visa extension: AED 1,200 for 30 days
- Sixty days of extension: AED 2,400, applied as two 30 day steps
The fee covers the government charge and our processing, and it is not refundable if immigration declines the extension, because the government fee is paid at submission. Any overstay fine is settled separately with immigration and is not included in the AED 1,200. A Myanmar visitor needing 30 days should extend; one needing 60 days after the limit should look at the exit routes.
Spreading the cost
If you live in the UAE and are sponsoring a relative or friend holding a Myanmar passport, the extension fee can be paid through Tabby over up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card in 3, 6, 9 or 12 monthly instalments subject to your bank. Other travellers pay by a secure online payment link that we send on WhatsApp. We extend spouses and children together and apply one instalment plan to the combined fee.
Paperwork for a Visa extension
The document list for an extension is short, because immigration already holds your details from the original visa. Send these on WhatsApp:
- A clear copy of your Myanmar passport, valid for at least six months.
- One colour passport photo on a plain white background.
- A copy of your current UAE visit visa, so we can confirm the issue date, the expiry date and how many extensions have already been used.
You will not be asked for financial documents, a hotel booking or a ticket to extend. Immigration may occasionally request an additional document on a case by case basis, and we will tell you immediately if that happens for a Myanmar passport.
The application process step by step
- Message +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 on WhatsApp five to seven days ahead of expiry with your documents. We review them and confirm eligibility within hours.
- Pay through the secure link or instalment plan we send. Submission to immigration starts only after payment is received.
- We submit the extension to immigration and keep you updated. Most Myanmar applications are approved within two to three working days, though immigration may occasionally take longer.
- The approved extension arrives as a PDF on WhatsApp with the updated expiry. Store it alongside your passport.
When to apply and why the deadline matters
Immigration will not extend a visa that has already lapsed, so the request has to be in before the expiry date. With two to three working days of processing and no weekend service, a five to seven day lead time protects Myanmar visitors from missing the deadline. For consecutive extensions, submit each new request a few days before the previous extension expires and track your cumulative stay against the 120 day limit.
Overstay rules in 2026
Once a visit visa expires, no extra days are granted. Every day beyond expiry costs AED 50, whichever emirate issued the visa, starting immediately. If the overstay passes 30 days, an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 is required on top of the fines. Once expired, the visa cannot be extended. You settle the fine and use an exit route, airport to airport or bus, which we organise for Myanmar travellers.

Options for Myanmar visitors after 120 days
The 120 day ceiling is absolute; after it, every Myanmar visitor has to exit. You can fly out and back the same day for AED 1,550, take the Oman bus from AED 1,000, return to Myanmar and reapply, or switch to residency if you have a sponsor. Either exit route resets you on a new 60 day visa, and the same agency rule does not apply to them.
Why extensions get refused or delayed
- Applying too late. Extensions cannot be filed after expiry, so contact us five to seven days ahead.
- Approaching a different agency. The same agency rule means we can only extend visas we issued; for others, use an exit route.
- Losing track of cumulative days. The 120 day cap runs from first entry, including every extension.
- Short passport validity, which leads to refusal.
- Applying with an arrival stamp or residency, which cannot be extended through an agency.
Myanmar passport Visa extension FAQ
Do I have to leave the UAE to extend?
You can. Myanmar passport holders on an agency issued 30 or 60 day visa extend in country as long as extensions remain, the 120 day limit is respected, and the issuing agency files the request.
How much does a Visa extension cost for Myanmar citizens?
AED 1,200 for a 30 day extension and AED 2,400 for 60 days, with no nationality surcharge for Myanmar citizens.
When will I receive the extension?
Typically two to three working days, excluding weekends and public holidays. Immigration can take longer in some cases, which is why a five to seven day lead time is recommended.
What is the maximum stay?
A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, each by 30 days. The maximum continuous stay on any UAE tourist visa is 120 days, after which exit is mandatory.
Can I extend a visa issued by another agency?
Only the issuing agency can extend a visa in country; that is how the immigration system works, not an agency policy. For visas issued elsewhere, ask that agency, or book an exit route with us (airport to airport AED 1,550, bus from AED 1,000) for a fresh 60 day visa.
Is there a grace period after my visa expires?
No grace days exist. Overstaying costs AED 50 per day from day one, plus an exit permit of approximately AED 250 to 300 once the overstay passes 30 days.
Is there a family extension option?
Yes. We process extensions for spouses, children and other family members together, and UAE residents booking for family can split the combined total across Tabby, Tamara or a UAE credit card plan.
What if my extension is refused?
Refusals are rare when the eligibility rules are met. If immigration declines, the fee is not refundable because the government charge is paid at submission, and you would need to exit before expiry through an airport to airport change or the bus to Oman. We check eligibility carefully before you pay to keep this risk low.
