When a Philippines citizen wants more time in the UAE, a Visa extension adds 30 days to the current visit visa from inside the country. We process the extension for AED 1,200 per 30 day block, usually within two to three working days, and the whole application runs on WhatsApp. Read on for the rules that apply to Philippines passports: cost, number of extensions, timing, documents and the exit routes once the maximum is reached.
In short: Philippines passport holders pay AED 1,200 for each 30 day Visa extension, approved in two to three working days without leaving the country. Three extensions on a 30 day visa, two on a 60 day visa, 120 days maximum. Apply five to seven days before expiry through the agency that issued your visa.
Planning your Dubai trip? Let White Sky handle it.
We book your attraction tickets, tours, hotels and flights — and you can pay later with Tabby, Tamara or UAE credit-card monthly instalments. Need a UAE tourist visa too? We do that in-house.
The meaning of Visa extension for Philippines passport holders
A Visa extension without exit is an extension of your existing visit visa, not a new visa. Immigration processes the extension under the original issuer’s account and records the new expiry against your Philippines passport. There is no travel involved: you stay in the UAE, keep your accommodation and wait for the approval on WhatsApp.
It should not be confused with the airport to airport change or the Oman bus route, which reset you on a new visa after an exit. For Philippines visitors who still qualify, the extension is the cheapest and least disruptive option, and it is the one we recommend first.
Who qualifies
Whether you qualify comes down to your current visa, your extension history and who issued the original visa. Message a photo of your visa to our WhatsApp and we confirm eligibility for Philippines citizens before you pay anything.
- Visitors on an agency issued 30 or 60 day visit visa who have not yet reached the extension limit.
- Travellers who will remain within the 120 day ceiling after the extension is added.
- Applicants whose original visa was issued by White Sky Travel. In country extensions can only be processed by the agency that issued the visa, because immigration handles the request through the issuer’s account.
Visas issued elsewhere can be extended by that agency; alternatively, we arrange an airport to airport change at AED 1,550 or a bus visa change from AED 1,000, each providing a new 60 day visa. Visas issued on arrival and residence visas cannot be extended through this service.

UAE visit visa extension charges for Philippines citizens
A 30 day extension is AED 1,200 for all passports, Philippines included; there is no nationality based pricing on extensions.
- 30 day extension: AED 1,200
- 2 month extension: AED 2,400, issued as two separate 30 day approvals
The charge covers immigration and processing costs and is not refundable if the extension is refused. Overstay fines, if any, are paid by the traveller to immigration and are not part of the extension fee. If you only need a month, extend; if you need two months and have run out of extensions, a new visa by air or bus is the better route for a Philippines passport.
Payment options
If you live in the UAE and are sponsoring a relative or friend holding a Philippines passport, the extension fee can be paid through Tabby over up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card in 3, 6, 9 or 12 monthly instalments subject to your bank. All other applicants receive a secure online payment link. Group applications for a family are processed as one, with the total eligible for instalments.
Documents required for a Visa extension on a Philippines passport
Since immigration already has your file from the original visa, an extension needs only a few items. WhatsApp us:
- A clear copy of your Philippines passport, valid for at least six months.
- One colour passport photo on a plain white background.
- The current visa copy, which we use to check the expiry date and remaining extensions.
No bank statement, hotel booking or return ticket is required for the extension itself. Immigration may occasionally request an additional document on a case by case basis, and we will tell you immediately if that happens for a Philippines passport.
The application process step by step
- Share your documents with us on WhatsApp at +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 with at least five to seven days remaining, and we confirm the same day.
- Settle the AED 1,200 by secure link or instalments. The application goes to immigration after payment.
- We lodge the application and track it. Approval for Philippines passports usually takes two to three working days; immigration can sometimes extend this.
- We forward the extension PDF on WhatsApp; the new expiry date is on it, so keep it handy.
Timing your Visa extension
The extension must be submitted before the current visa expires; an expired visa cannot be extended. We ask Philippines travellers to contact us five to seven days ahead, because processing takes two to three working days and weekends and public holidays do not count. If you plan to extend more than once, apply for the next extension a few days before the current one ends, and keep an eye on the 120 day total.
Why the expiry date is final
Visitors do not receive any grace days after the expiry date. A fine of AED 50 applies for every day of overstay, the same flat rate across all visa types and emirates, and it starts the day after expiry. Anyone who overstays by more than 30 days also needs an exit permit, typically AED 250 to 300, before leaving. If your visa has already expired, extension is off the table; the practical route is to pay the fine and exit through an airport to airport change or the bus to Oman, and we can arrange either.

What to do after the maximum extensions
When the extensions are exhausted and 120 days are up, leaving the country is required. Four options follow: airport to airport at AED 1,550 and back the same day, the bus to Oman from AED 1,000 taking roughly a day, a return home before a new visa, or a residence visa through an employer or family member. Either exit route resets you on a new 60 day visa, and the same agency rule does not apply to them.
Why extensions get refused or delayed
- Leaving it to the last day. An expired visa cannot be extended, so allow a week.
- Not knowing who issued the visa. Ask the person who arranged it, since the extension has to go through that agency.
- Assuming the clock resets with each extension. It does not; 120 days is the total from entry.
- Passport validity under six months. Immigration will not extend a visa on a passport close to expiry.
- Applying with an arrival stamp or residency, which cannot be extended through an agency.
Philippines passport Visa extension FAQ
Is extension without exit possible for Philippines citizens?
Yes. No exit is needed for agency issued visit visas within the extension limits and the 120 day cap, when processed by the original issuer.
What are the UAE visit visa extension fees?
The extension fee is AED 1,200 for 30 days and AED 2,400 for 60 days (two back to back extensions), identical for all passports including Philippines.
What is the processing time?
Expect two to three working days for a Philippines passport, with a buffer for weekends and holidays.
What is the maximum stay?
A 30 day visa can be extended three times and a 60 day visa twice, each by 30 days. The maximum continuous stay on any UAE tourist visa is 120 days, after which exit is mandatory.
Does the same agency rule apply to Philippines passports?
Only the issuing agency can extend a visa in country; that is how the immigration system works, not an agency policy. For visas issued elsewhere, ask that agency, or book an exit route with us (airport to airport AED 1,550, bus from AED 1,000) for a fresh 60 day visa.
Is there a grace period after my visa expires?
No grace days exist. Overstaying costs AED 50 per day from day one, plus an exit permit of approximately AED 250 to 300 once the overstay passes 30 days.
Is there a family extension option?
Yes. We process extensions for spouses, children and other family members together, and UAE residents booking for family can split the combined total across Tabby, Tamara or a UAE credit card plan.
What happens if it is not approved?
Immigration can decline at its discretion, though it seldom does for eligible Philippines applicants. The fee is not returned on refusal, and an exit route becomes necessary before expiry.
