- Apply for your Visa extension with White Sky Travel
If you hold a Switzerland passport and your UAE visit visa is running out, a Visa extension lets you stay another 30 days without leaving the country. The fee is AED 1,200 for each 30 day extension, approval normally arrives in two to three working days, and everything is handled on WhatsApp. This page explains who qualifies, what a Switzerland passport holder pays, how many times you can extend, the deadline to apply, and what happens once you reach the 120 day limit.
In short: Switzerland passport holders pay AED 1,200 for each 30 day Visa extension, approved in two to three working days without leaving the country. Three extensions on a 30 day visa, two on a 60 day visa, 120 days maximum. Apply five to seven days before expiry through the agency that issued your visa.

The meaning of Visa extension for Switzerland passport holders
A Visa extension is an extension of the current permit; the visa number stays the same and the expiry date moves forward by 30 days. The application is submitted to immigration through the same agency account that issued your original visa, and once approved the new expiry date is recorded against your Switzerland passport. Nothing physical happens on your side; you continue your visit and we send the approved extension on WhatsApp.
This is different from an airport to airport visa change or a visa change by bus to Oman, both of which involve leaving the UAE and returning on a completely new tourist visa. For eligible Switzerland travellers the extension beats the exit routes on cost, effort and time away.
Who qualifies
Eligibility for a Visa extension depends on three things: the visa you hold, how many extensions you have already used, and which agency issued the visa. Send us a copy of your current visa on WhatsApp and we will confirm within the hour whether a Switzerland passport can be extended, or whether an exit route is the better option.
- Tourist visa holders with extensions remaining: up to three on a 30 day visa and up to two on a 60 day visa.
- Anyone whose combined stay stays under 120 days once the extension is counted.
- Visitors whose visa we issued. Immigration processes extensions through the original issuer’s account, so another agency cannot extend a visa we did not issue, and we cannot extend a visa issued elsewhere.
Visas issued elsewhere can be extended by that agency; alternatively, we arrange an airport to airport change at AED 1,550 or a bus visa change from AED 1,000, each providing a new 60 day visa. Arrival stamps and residency visas are not extendable through an agency.

UAE visit visa extension charges for Switzerland citizens
We charge AED 1,200 for every 30 day extension regardless of nationality, so Switzerland citizens pay exactly this figure.
- 1 month extension inside the UAE: AED 1,200
- Sixty days of extension: AED 2,400, applied as two 30 day steps
The AED 1,200 includes the immigration fee and our service. It cannot be refunded on refusal, since the government charge is paid when the application is lodged. Fines for overstaying are paid directly to immigration and sit outside the extension price. A Switzerland visitor needing 30 days should extend; one needing 60 days after the limit should look at the exit routes.
Payment options
Residents of the UAE booking for Switzerland visitors can use Tabby for up to 12 months, Tamara with extendable repayment, or a UAE credit card with 3, 6, 9 or 12 month terms set by the card issuer. Applicants who are not UAE residents pay through a secure online link. When several family members extend at once, we process them together and the total can be paid on the same plan.
Documents required for a Visa extension on a Switzerland passport
Because your record already exists with immigration, we only need the following on WhatsApp:
- A clear copy of your Switzerland passport, valid for at least six months.
- A colour passport size photo on a white background, without glasses.
- A copy of your current UAE visit visa, so we can confirm the issue date, the expiry date and how many extensions have already been used.
Bank statements, hotel confirmations and return tickets are not part of the extension application. Immigration can request further documents at its discretion, and we pass any such request on to Switzerland travellers without delay.
How Switzerland citizens apply
- Message +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 on WhatsApp five to seven days ahead of expiry with your documents. We review them and confirm eligibility within hours.
- Complete payment through the link or instalment option we provide. We file the extension once payment clears.
- We lodge the application and track it. Approval for Switzerland passports usually takes two to three working days; immigration can sometimes extend this.
- You receive the approved extension as a PDF on WhatsApp showing the new expiry date. Keep it with your passport for the rest of your stay.
Timing your Visa extension
The extension must be submitted before the current visa expires; an expired visa cannot be extended. With two to three working days of processing and no weekend service, a five to seven day lead time protects Switzerland visitors from missing the deadline. When chaining extensions, start each one a few days early and count your total days from the original entry.
No grace period and the AED 50 daily fine
Once a visit visa expires, no extra days are granted. Every day beyond expiry costs AED 50, whichever emirate issued the visa, starting immediately. Overstays beyond 30 days additionally require an exit permit of roughly AED 250 to 300. After expiry the only option is an exit route; we handle the airport to airport change or the Oman bus for Switzerland passports.

What to do after the maximum extensions
When the extensions are exhausted and 120 days are up, leaving the country is required. You can fly out and back the same day for AED 1,550, take the Oman bus from AED 1,000, return to Switzerland and reapply, or switch to residency if you have a sponsor. Both exit routes issue a new 60 day tourist visa regardless of which agency issued the original, and we arrange either on WhatsApp.
Common problems for Switzerland applicants and how we prevent them
- Leaving it to the last day. An expired visa cannot be extended, so allow a week.
- Expecting a third party to extend a visa it did not issue, which the system does not allow.
- Assuming the clock resets with each extension. It does not; 120 days is the total from entry.
- A passport expiring soon. Renew it before applying.
- Applying with an arrival stamp or residency, which cannot be extended through an agency.
Questions Switzerland travellers ask us
Do I have to leave the UAE to extend?
Yes. Agency issued 30 day and 60 day visit visas can be extended from inside the UAE without leaving, provided you still have extensions remaining, your total stay will not exceed 120 days, and the application goes through the agency that issued the visa.
How much is a 2 month extension?
AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, the same for every nationality including Switzerland. A two month extension is AED 2,400, processed as two consecutive 30 day extensions.
When will I receive the extension?
Usually two to three working days. Because government offices close at weekends, Switzerland travellers should allow five to seven days before the visa expires.
How many times can a Switzerland citizen extend a UAE tourist visa?
Up to three times for a 30 day visa and twice for a 60 day visa, always within a 120 day ceiling.
Does the same agency rule apply to Switzerland passports?
Extensions go through the issuer’s account, so a visa from another agency must be extended by them. Alternatively, we arrange an airport to airport change or the Oman bus, neither of which depends on who issued the first visa.
Is there a grace period after my visa expires?
No grace days exist. Overstaying costs AED 50 per day from day one, plus an exit permit of approximately AED 250 to 300 once the overstay passes 30 days.
What about family members on Switzerland passports?
Certainly. We extend the whole family at once, and residents sponsoring Switzerland relatives can pay the combined AED 1,200 per person on an instalment plan.
What happens if it is not approved?
Refusals are rare when the eligibility rules are met. If immigration declines, the fee is not refundable because the government charge is paid at submission, and you would need to exit before expiry through an airport to airport change or the bus to Oman. We check eligibility carefully before you pay to keep this risk low.
