Visa extension without exit for Tunisia passport holders

When a Tunisia citizen wants more time in the UAE, a Visa extension adds 30 days to the current visit visa from inside the country. Each 30 day extension costs AED 1,200, takes two to three working days in most cases, and is managed entirely through WhatsApp with our team. Here is everything a Tunisia traveller needs to know before applying: fees, limits, deadlines, paperwork and the alternatives when extension is no longer possible.

The essentials for Tunisia citizens: AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, no exit required, two to three working days processing, a 120 day ceiling on total stay, and a five to seven day lead time before expiry. Only the issuing agency can process it.

The meaning of Visa extension for Tunisia passport holders

Unlike a visa change, a Visa extension keeps your existing visa and simply adds 30 days to it. Immigration processes the extension under the original issuer’s account and records the new expiry against your Tunisia passport. There is no travel involved: you stay in the UAE, keep your accommodation and wait for the approval on WhatsApp.

This is different from an airport to airport visa change or a visa change by bus to Oman, both of which involve leaving the UAE and returning on a completely new tourist visa. For eligible Tunisia travellers the extension beats the exit routes on cost, effort and time away.

Is a Visa extension available for Tunisia citizens?

Whether you qualify comes down to your current visa, your extension history and who issued the original visa. Send us a copy of your current visa on WhatsApp and we will confirm within the hour whether a Tunisia passport can be extended, or whether an exit route is the better option.

  • Anyone on a 30 day or 60 day tourist visa issued by an agency: three extensions for the 30 day visa, two for the 60 day visa, 30 days each time.
  • Visitors who have not reached 120 days in the UAE on the current visa.
  • Holders of a visa issued by us. The UAE system routes extension requests through the issuing agency, which is why the same agency rule applies.

If we did not issue your visa, the original agency can extend it, or we can reset you on a new 60 day visa through an airport to airport change (AED 1,550) or the bus to Oman (from AED 1,000). On arrival stamps and residence visas fall outside this service.

Tunisia passport Visa extension price

A 30 day extension is AED 1,200 for all passports, Tunisia included; there is no nationality based pricing on extensions.

  • One month visa extension: AED 1,200 for 30 days
  • Sixty days of extension: AED 2,400, applied as two 30 day steps

The charge covers immigration and processing costs and is not refundable if the extension is refused. Overstay fines, if any, are paid by the traveller to immigration and are not part of the extension fee. A Tunisia visitor needing 30 days should extend; one needing 60 days after the limit should look at the exit routes.

Spreading the cost

If you live in the UAE and are sponsoring a relative or friend holding a Tunisia passport, the extension fee can be paid through Tabby over up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card in 3, 6, 9 or 12 monthly instalments subject to your bank. Other travellers pay by a secure online payment link that we send on WhatsApp. When several family members extend at once, we process them together and the total can be paid on the same plan.

Visa extension requirements for Tunisia passport holders

Since immigration already has your file from the original visa, an extension needs only a few items. WhatsApp us:

  1. Passport copy showing at least six months validity.
  2. A white background colour photo in passport format, without eyewear.
  3. A copy of your current UAE visit visa, so we can confirm the issue date, the expiry date and how many extensions have already been used.

You will not be asked for financial documents, a hotel booking or a ticket to extend. Should immigration want anything more for a Tunisia passport, we will contact you on WhatsApp at once.

The application process step by step

  1. Share your documents with us on WhatsApp at +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 with at least five to seven days remaining, and we confirm the same day.
  2. Pay through the secure link or instalment plan we send. Submission to immigration starts only after payment is received.
  3. We file with immigration and follow up. Typical turnaround for Tunisia citizens is two to three working days.
  4. The approved extension arrives as a PDF on WhatsApp with the updated expiry. Store it alongside your passport.

The five to seven day rule for Tunisia visitors

Immigration will not extend a visa that has already lapsed, so the request has to be in before the expiry date. Because approval takes two to three working days and government offices close at weekends and on public holidays, Tunisia passport holders should message us five to seven days before expiry. When chaining extensions, start each one a few days early and count your total days from the original entry.

What happens if you miss the deadline

UAE visit and tourist visas have no grace period after expiry. An expired visa attracts AED 50 per day in fines from day one, and the rate is the same everywhere in the UAE. Overstays beyond 30 days additionally require an exit permit of roughly AED 250 to 300. An expired visa means a visa change rather than an extension: pay the fine, then exit by air or bus with us and return on a new visa.

Reaching the 120 day limit

The 120 day ceiling is absolute; after it, every Tunisia visitor has to exit. The choices are an airport to airport change (AED 1,550, same day, flydubai), the Oman bus route (from AED 1,000, about a day), going home and applying afresh, or moving to a residence visa where a sponsor exists. Both exit routes issue a new 60 day tourist visa regardless of which agency issued the original, and we arrange either on WhatsApp.

Why extensions get refused or delayed

  • Leaving it to the last day. An expired visa cannot be extended, so allow a week.
  • Not knowing who issued the visa. Ask the person who arranged it, since the extension has to go through that agency.
  • Losing track of cumulative days. The 120 day cap runs from first entry, including every extension.
  • Passport validity under six months. Immigration will not extend a visa on a passport close to expiry.
  • Applying with an arrival stamp or residency, which cannot be extended through an agency.

Tunisia passport Visa extension FAQ

Do I have to leave the UAE to extend?

Yes. Agency issued 30 day and 60 day visit visas can be extended from inside the UAE without leaving, provided you still have extensions remaining, your total stay will not exceed 120 days, and the application goes through the agency that issued the visa.

How much does a Visa extension cost for Tunisia citizens?

The extension fee is AED 1,200 for 30 days and AED 2,400 for 60 days (two back to back extensions), identical for all passports including Tunisia.

How long does a Visa extension take?

Typically two to three working days, excluding weekends and public holidays. Immigration can take longer in some cases, which is why a five to seven day lead time is recommended.

How many times can a Tunisia citizen extend a UAE tourist visa?

Up to three times for a 30 day visa and twice for a 60 day visa, always within a 120 day ceiling.

What if my visa came from a different agency?

Only the issuing agency can extend a visa in country; that is how the immigration system works, not an agency policy. For visas issued elsewhere, ask that agency, or book an exit route with us (airport to airport AED 1,550, bus from AED 1,000) for a fresh 60 day visa.

Is there a grace period after my visa expires?

None. The AED 50 daily fine starts the day after the visa expires, with an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 added after 30 days of overstay.

Is there a family extension option?

Yes. Family extensions are handled as one application, and the total fee is eligible for instalments when a UAE resident books on the family’s behalf.

Is the fee refundable on rejection?

Rejection is uncommon for eligible applications. Fees are not refunded on refusal, since immigration retains the charge, and the fallback is an exit route before the visa expires. Our pre check is designed to catch problems early.
