If your visa was issued by a different agency, you have two choices: ask that agency to extend it, or use an exit route with us. An airport to airport visa change costs AED 1,550 and a visa change by bus to Oman starts from AED 1,000, and both give you a fresh 60 day visa regardless of who issued the first one. Visas issued on arrival and residence visas cannot be extended through this service.

Visa extension fees for Zimbabwe passport holders

Timing your Visa extension

Applications are only accepted while the visa is still valid. Once it expires, extension is no longer possible. With two to three working days of processing and no weekend service, a five to seven day lead time protects Zimbabwe visitors from missing the deadline. When chaining extensions, start each one a few days early and count your total days from the original entry.

No grace period and the AED 50 daily fine

Visitors do not receive any grace days after the expiry date. A fine of AED 50 applies for every day of overstay, the same flat rate across all visa types and emirates, and it starts the day after expiry. After 30 days of overstay, an exit permit costing about AED 250 to 300 becomes necessary as well. After expiry the only option is an exit route; we handle the airport to airport change or the Oman bus for Zimbabwe passports.

At 120 days total, Zimbabwe passport holders must leave the UAE. You can fly out and back the same day for AED 1,550, take the Oman bus from AED 1,000, return to Zimbabwe and reapply, or switch to residency if you have a sponsor. Why extensions get refused or delayed

• Missing the deadline. Once the visa lapses, only an exit route remains.
• Expecting a third party to extend a visa it did not issue, which the system does not allow.
