Visa extension for Zambia citizens without leaving the UAE

If you hold a Zambia passport and your UAE visit visa is running out, a Visa extension lets you stay another 30 days without leaving the country. Each 30 day extension costs AED 1,200, takes two to three working days in most cases, and is managed entirely through WhatsApp with our team. This page explains who qualifies, what a Zambia passport holder pays, how many times you can extend, the deadline to apply, and what happens once you reach the 120 day limit.

The essentials for Zambia citizens: AED 1,200 per 30 day extension, no exit required, two to three working days processing, a 120 day ceiling on total stay, and a five to seven day lead time before expiry. Only the issuing agency can process it.

Visa extension explained for Zambia travellers

A Visa extension without exit is an extension of your existing visit visa, not a new visa. Immigration processes the extension under the original issuer’s account and records the new expiry against your Zambia passport. No flight, no bus and no border: you remain where you are and receive the approval on WhatsApp.

This is different from an airport to airport visa change or a visa change by bus to Oman, both of which involve leaving the UAE and returning on a completely new tourist visa. For eligible Zambia travellers the extension beats the exit routes on cost, effort and time away.

Eligibility for Zambia passport holders

Three factors decide whether a Zambia passport holder can extend: the visa type, the number of extensions already taken, and the issuing agency. Message a photo of your visa to our WhatsApp and we confirm eligibility for Zambia citizens before you pay anything.

  • Tourist visa holders with extensions remaining: up to three on a 30 day visa and up to two on a 60 day visa.
  • Applicants whose total stay, including the new extension, will not exceed 120 days from the original entry date.
  • Visitors whose visa we issued. Immigration processes extensions through the original issuer’s account, so another agency cannot extend a visa we did not issue, and we cannot extend a visa issued elsewhere.

Where another agency issued the visa, either contact them for the extension or book an exit route with us: airport to airport at AED 1,550 or the Oman bus from AED 1,000, both of which issue a new 60 day visa whatever the original source. Arrival stamps and residency visas are not extendable through an agency.

How much does a Visa extension cost?

Each 30 day extension costs AED 1,200, and unlike a new visa the fee does not change by nationality, so Zambia passports pay the standard rate.

  • 1 month extension inside the UAE: AED 1,200
  • 60 day extension: AED 2,400 (two 30 day extensions back to back)

The fee covers the government charge and our processing, and it is not refundable if immigration declines the extension, because the government fee is paid at submission. Any overstay fine is settled separately with immigration and is not included in the AED 1,200. A Zambia visitor needing 30 days should extend; one needing 60 days after the limit should look at the exit routes.

Payment options

For UAE residents applying on behalf of Zambia family or friends, the AED 1,200 can be spread with Tabby up to 12 months, Tamara on extendable terms, or a UAE credit card over 3, 6, 9 or 12 months according to the bank. All other applicants receive a secure online payment link. Family extensions are handled together, and the combined total can be split the same way.

What Zambia citizens need to send us

Since immigration already has your file from the original visa, an extension needs only a few items. WhatsApp us:

  1. A scan of the passport, valid for a minimum of six months.
  2. One colour passport photo on a plain white background.
  3. A copy of your current UAE visit visa, so we can confirm the issue date, the expiry date and how many extensions have already been used.

You will not be asked for financial documents, a hotel booking or a ticket to extend. Immigration may occasionally request an additional document on a case by case basis, and we will tell you immediately if that happens for a Zambia passport.

The application process step by step

  1. Send your documents on WhatsApp to +971 52 292 1011 or +971 4 220 2133 at least five to seven days before your visa expires. We check the expiry date and extension count and confirm eligibility the same day.
  2. Make the payment through the link we send. We submit as soon as it is confirmed.
  3. We file with immigration and follow up. Typical turnaround for Zambia citizens is two to three working days.
  4. Once approved, we send the extension PDF on WhatsApp. It shows the new expiry date and should travel with your passport.

Timing your Visa extension

An extension is only possible on a live visa, which is why the expiry date is the hard deadline. We ask Zambia travellers to contact us five to seven days ahead, because processing takes two to three working days and weekends and public holidays do not count. If you plan to extend more than once, apply for the next extension a few days before the current one ends, and keep an eye on the 120 day total.

What happens if you miss the deadline

There is no grace period on a UAE visit visa. The overstay fine is AED 50 per day, applied uniformly across every emirate and visa category, from the first day past expiry. Overstays beyond 30 days additionally require an exit permit of roughly AED 250 to 300. After expiry the only option is an exit route; we handle the airport to airport change or the Oman bus for Zambia passports.

What to do after the maximum extensions

The 120 day ceiling is absolute; after it, every Zambia visitor has to exit. Four options follow: airport to airport at AED 1,550 and back the same day, the bus to Oman from AED 1,000 taking roughly a day, a return home before a new visa, or a residence visa through an employer or family member. Air or bus, the result is a new 60 day visa, and we book either for Zambia travellers on WhatsApp.

Common problems for Zambia applicants and how we prevent them

  • Missing the deadline. Once the visa lapses, only an exit route remains.
  • Expecting a third party to extend a visa it did not issue, which the system does not allow.
  • Miscounting the 120 days. Total stay is counted from the original entry date, not from the last extension, so keep a running tally.
  • Passport validity under six months. Immigration will not extend a visa on a passport close to expiry.
  • Expecting an on arrival stamp to be extendable. It is not; a visa change is required instead.

Answers for Zambia citizens

Do I have to leave the UAE to extend?

You can. Zambia passport holders on an agency issued 30 or 60 day visa extend in country as long as extensions remain, the 120 day limit is respected, and the issuing agency files the request.

How much does a Visa extension cost for Zambia citizens?

AED 1,200 for a 30 day extension and AED 2,400 for 60 days, with no nationality surcharge for Zambia citizens.

How long does a Visa extension take?

Usually two to three working days. Because government offices close at weekends, Zambia travellers should allow five to seven days before the visa expires.

How many extensions are allowed?

Three extensions on a 30 day visa, two on a 60 day visa, 30 days each. Total stay cannot exceed 120 days from the original entry.

Can I extend a visa issued by another agency?

Only the issuing agency can extend a visa in country; that is how the immigration system works, not an agency policy. For visas issued elsewhere, ask that agency, or book an exit route with us (airport to airport AED 1,550, bus from AED 1,000) for a fresh 60 day visa.

When do fines start?

None. The AED 50 daily fine starts the day after the visa expires, with an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 added after 30 days of overstay.

Is there a family extension option?

Certainly. We extend the whole family at once, and residents sponsoring Zambia relatives can pay the combined AED 1,200 per person on an instalment plan.

Can immigration decline an extension?

Immigration can decline at its discretion, though it seldom does for eligible Zambia applicants. The fee is not returned on refusal, and an exit route becomes necessary before expiry.
