How long the Dubai visa is valid

The permit is valid for entry for 60 days from issue. Your 30 or 60 days of stay begin on the day you enter, not on the day the visa is issued. With single entry you may arrive once; multiple entry permits several arrivals within the validity, ideal for regional itineraries that pass through Oman, Saudi Arabia or Qatar. Working on a tourist visa is not allowed.

What happens if you overstay

Visitors do not receive any grace days after the expiry date. An expired visa attracts AED 50 per day in fines from day one, and the rate is the same everywhere in the UAE. Anyone who overstays by more than 30 days also needs an exit permit, typically AED 250 to 300, before leaving. A WhatsApp reminder from us before expiry helps Bahamas visitors avoid fines.

Can Bahamas citizens extend the visa?

The 30 day visa allows three extensions of 30 days and the 60 day visa allows two, without leaving the country. The maximum total stay is 120 days. At the 120 day point, a new visa requires an exit, which can be done by an airport to airport change or the bus to Oman. Apply for the extension ahead of the expiry date, ideally a week before.

None. The AED 50 daily fine starts the day after the visa expires, with an exit permit of around AED 250 to 300 added after 30 days of overstay.

Is the visa fee refundable if my application is rejected?

No refund applies on refusal, since immigration retains the processing charge. You can apply again once the problem is addressed.

Can I add my child to the application?

Yes. Minors receive their own visa at the adult price, and we ask for a birth certificate with the usual documents.

Can I work in the UAE on a Dubai visa?

No. The visa is for visiting only. Taking up work requires an employment visa arranged by a UAE employer.
